When Della looked back on the last thirteen years all she could think about was of how alone she was. How much of the boys lives she'd missed out on.
All the birthdays and holidays. The first days of school. Their first steps. Almost everything.
Not anymore.
They turned thirteen that day. She looked at Huey Dewey and Louie when they blew out their candles together and when they got high fives from all their other friends and family members.
She'd be there for all the other birthdays. She'd be there for the first dates, the first dances, the graduations, the weddings and possibly, the grandkids.
She wasn't going to miss out on their lives any longer. She was going to be right there.
An short introspective kind of thing about Della for anonymous! It's not quite what you asked for but I hope you liked it!
