"WELCOME BACK BEYBLADE FANS! TODAY WE HAVE A NEWCOMER, BATTLING AGAINST ONE OF THE SUPREME 4! AND ALSO WITH US TODAY, IS BEYBLADE ANNOUNCER, DIONYSUS!"

Percy groaned. Dionysus was very particular, and was often hard to please. While his counterpart, Chiron, (the other announcer) was very uplifting, and saw great things in everything. It was tough enough that he had to face Silena, but to do it while hearing Dionysus rip into him; this was going to be very difficult.

Even with Annabeth's training, he still felt very underprepared. Silena was one of the Supreme 4 for a reason. Annabeth's battle from the other day was a harsh awakening. He was not ready to fight Silena.

His anxiety ran rampant. His leg bounced up and down rapidly. The knot in his stomach tightened, making him feel like he wanted to throw up.

Beside him, Annabeth held concern in her eyes. "Are you alright?"

Percy put on a smile. "Yeah, yeah, of course. Why wouldn't I be?"

Annabeth deadpanned at him. "Your leg is going crazy, and you look like you're gonna be sick. So you're obviously not alright."

"I'm just anxious. Nothing to worry about." Percy said, trying for a smile.

Annabeth didn't look convinced. "If you say so."

"Would Percy Jackson and Silena Beauregard please make their way to the arena." The announcer said over the loudspeaker.

"You're up, newbie." Annabeth said.

"I'm not a newbie." Percy said, indignantly.

"This is your first tournament. You are a newbie."

"Fuck you."

"You already did." Annabeth said, a smug smirk on her face.

"I'm going now." He said, before standing up and walking to the door.

"Good luck!"

Percy rolled his eyes, before the door shut behind him. He navigated the corridors, before coming to the arena room. Silena stood on stage waiting for him. As was the referee.

He walked up to the stage, thoughts running through his mind. The loud, uninterested voice of Dionysus definitely didn't help.

"Look at this man, Perry. Couldn't even bother to show up on time. Bet he's a real hotshot." The man said.

Percy breathed in and tried to calm himself.

"Bladers, are you ready?" The ref asked.

Both Silena and Percy nodded, pulling out their launchers. Percy put Pontus on his launcher and got into position.

"LET IT RIP!"

Both bladers launched the beys into the stadium.

Seductress, being the stamina type, took the center quickly. The layer of the bey itself wasn't special. A pretty well balanced energy layer, making it good for stamina types. The punches came in with the forge disc and tip. The forge disc was heavy. Like, really heavy. It was barely lighter than Athena's. That gave it a huge boost for stamina and defense. It also made it hard to knock off balance. That's where it worked well with the tip. The tip came down to a fine point. Now, usually, this was pretty risky, since if knocked off balance, the beyblade would lose stamina very quickly. High risk, but a high reward in return. It's why the combo worked so well.

Percy knew that this would be a problem. He didn't know how tight the teeth of the layer were. The tighter the teeth, the tougher it is to burst. Which means that he had no way to come up with a plan.

In the stadium, Pontus raced towards the center. Aiming for a full on collision, Pontus crashed into Seductress. Sadly, the attack was not as powerful as it could have been. Since Pontus was round, with the exception of the trident, the chance for attacks to actually land was pretty low. This time, the attack didn't land.

Seductress moved because of the impact, but it didn't move far, and only moved back to its spot in the center.

"WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT! AN ATTACK STRAIGHT FROM PONTUS, ONY FOR SEDUCTRESS TO SHRUG IT OFF LIKE IT WAS NOTHING! WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY, DIONYSUS?!"

All the drunk reporter did was grunt.

Percy clenched his teeth and fist. Pontus gained speed in response. The beyblade raced towards the center, aiming for total destruction. This time, the trident aimed straight for the stamina bey.

The pure sound of the collision was heard throughout the room. Seductress went flying, smashing into one of the walls. But still, it went back to the center.

Good news, the beyblade was wobbling, which meant that it was losing stamina. Bad news, so was Pontus.

Percy breathed in and breathed out, calming his nerves. Pontus went around the stadium, before arcing towards the center. The beyblade was going to need a miracle to win this match. It didn't have enough force for another big hit, and looked like it was about to drop still any second.

Percy's nails dug into his skin, hoping for the miracle from the heavens.

But it never came.

Pontus slowed to a stop, while Seductress spun on.

"Survivor finish. One point to Silena." The ref called.

Percy sighed, before bending down and picking up his beyblade. He put it on the launcher and got ready. He tried to calm his nerves, but it didn't go too well. He didn't know why he was so nervous in the first place. He joined for fun, why was he getting stressed?

'Annabeth…' His mind whispered.

Oh, that's why. His girlfriend was the best in the entire nation. Of course he would want to impress her.

And what better way, than to win against one of the Supreme Four? Only problem, it was one of the Supreme four.

"LET IT RIP!"

Percy's hands were shaking as he launched Pontus into the stadium, and it showed in the way the beyblade moved. While Seductress took the center gracefully, Pontus was wobbling as it aimed towards the center.

They beyblades clashed, and you could tell that there was no power behind Pontus' strike. It kinda just, rammed into Seductress, and it was then that Percy caught a glimpse into the secret world that beyblading held.

Above his beyblade, bathed in sea green light, was a merman, armed with a golden trident. He was off balance, and swinging at his opponent. His opponent was a woman, dressed in a simple white dress. She held a rose in one hand, and waved with the other.

She blew a kiss at Pontus, causing him to go flying back.

In the real world, this was seen as Percy's beyblade flew out of the arena, landing at his feet. Percy stared at it, shoulders hunched.

"Ring out finish, One point to Silena." The ref called.

Percy grabbed his beyblade, and put it on his launcher. He breathed in as Silena did the same. He closed his eyes, deciding to just go into this battle blind, not like it mattered. He was down 2 points, and Silena needed one to win.

He angled his launcher down, feeling like going out in a bang. Going big before going home. Deep down, he had hope. Maybe he could burst Seductress, even out the score. While not likely, it is possible.

Millions of thoughts ran through his head, ranging from ways to win, to accepting his defeat.

"1."

Percy opened his eyes. No one in the crowd could see it, except maybe Annabeth, but his eyes softly glowed, lighting the arena in front of him.

"Let it RIP!"

Both beyblades entered the arena, with Seductress claiming the center. Pontus moved quickly around the rim of the arena, before arcing down towards the center. It slammed into Seductress, the trident on the bey slamming into the stamina bey.

Seductress moved away from the center, the force of Pontus' strike knocking it back. Pontus raced around the arena, just as Seductress started to go back to the center. Pontus, however, was too fast, and hit Seductress again.

In fact, it continued to lap the arena, hitting Seductress back. Pontus came in for one final strike, rounding the edge of the arena. It smashed into the pink beyblade. Seductress went flying from the force of the impact. In fact, it went flying out of the arena.

Silena stared at her beyblade in shock, silence enveloping the crowd. Well, besides the slow clapping of one person in the audience. Annabeth.

Percy let loose a breath. His shoulders came down, showing just how tense he was feeling during the battle. In the arena, Pontus came to a stop. The funny thing was that it was still standing. Since the tip was flat, it had a chance of standing straight up when done spinning. Percy grinned, Pontus just earned style points in his book.

"WOW! WHAT A PERFORMANCE FROM PERCY JACKSON! HE DEFINITELY SURPRISED ME, WHAT ABOUT YOU DIO?"

"Eh, I've seen better."

"WELL, WITH THIS TURN OF EVENTS, I CAN'T SAY WHO I THINK IS GONNA WIN ANYMORE!"

"Geez, Chiron, it's one point, no need to be so overdramatic."

Percy couldn't hear the pessimistic announcer over the sound of blood roaring in his ears. He picked up his beyblade. When he looked at it, he noticed that Pontus was close to bursting. He fixed the bey, before putting it back on his launcher.

Percy waited for Silena, who was putting her beyblade on her launcher. Percy breathed in. He was still in the fight.

He felt a presence tower over him from behind, but when he glanced back, he saw nothing. But he did feel something. And he felt it tilt his launcher to the side, and slide his left foot behind his right.

"3."

In the audience, Annabeth's eyes widened slightly. Percy was going for power in his launch. If he could use the power correctly, he could win this battle super quickly.

"1."

"LET IT RIP!"

Percy felt something pull his arm super hard. Pontus launched into the stadium, spinning really fast. Probably faster than it had spun before. But, it was also heading straight for the center. Now, if you remember correctly, that was bad for attack types.

But, since Silena hadn't bothered to change her tactic, Seductress had already taken the center. And like a firework crafted by a pyrotechnician, the end result was beautiful.

Pontus crashed into Seductress, trident first. Adding in all the power behind Percy's launch, it would've been a surprise if Seductress hadn't burst.

The top layer of her beyblade landed in front of Silena. She stared at it in shock.

"Burst points to Percy Jackson." The ref called.

"WOW! PERCY TAKES THE ROUND WITH 3 POINTS! I DEFINITELY DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING! WHAT'S YOUR THOUGHTS DIONYSUS?"

"Well, it is surprising, I must confess, but I don't know if Perry can continue going."

"Percy." Chiron corrected.

"What?"

"His name's Percy."

"That's what I said."

"No it was-" Chiron sighed. "Fine, whatever. ALRIGHT BEYBLADE FANS! PERCY TAKES THE ROUND MOVING ONTO THE SEMI-FINALS! AND JUST LIKE LAST YEAR, I WOULD LIKE TO ANNOUNCE THE FIRST MEMBER OF THE NEW SUPREME FOUR!"

A/N. Alright, I finally finished this chapter. I started it a while ago, and then got caught up in other things. It's not like anyone is really waiting for this one anyway, so I should be fine.

Anyways, so we are going onto the semi finals where Percy will face another person. (Though you have already met them in this story.)

Thoughts?
