The Fox and His Flower
--
--
She watched as he cried.
She watched as he smiled.
She watched as he changed
From a boy to a man.
She didn't think he noticed.
She didn't tell the truth.
She didn't know what to say
When he asked her why she cried.
--
He didn't know she cared.
He didn't know she cried.
He didn't know he helped her
Through the thick and thin.
He wondered if she'd stay.
He wondered if she'd cry.
He wondered what she would say
If she knew what he carried.
--
He said he would protect her.
For her, he would die.
He said she was his most
Precious person ever.
He told her that he loved her,
Her eyes wide with surprise.
She hugged him and she whispered,
"I've always loved you so."
--
And so the fox had found his maiden,
His beautiful blushing bride.
She finally had her life-long love,
Forever by her side.
