This should go without saying and to be expected, this chapter has heavy spoilers for Star Wars: The Clone Wars. I know it's been out for a while but I know there are some people out there who have yet to watch it.

Luke's Force vision has brought him to Tatooine for the second time now. This time he is somewhere he recognizes, a place he once called home. The moisture farm that he grew up on with his aunt and uncle.

"It was before dawn. They came out of nowhere." An older man's voice said.

Luke turned to where the voices came from and saw people sitting around the table.

"A hunting party of Tusken Raiders. Shmi went out early to pick mushrooms from the vaporators," the older man said. "From the tracks, she was about halfway home when they took her."

The vision shifts again around Luke, he appears to be in a hut of sorts. The sound of a lightsaber cutting through the hut startles him and he looks in the direction it is coming from. That's when he sees a woman bloodied, beaten, and bruised, with her arms strapped up around the level of her head. The hole gets kicked in startling Luke once more and he sees his father duck in through the hole, rushing to help the woman.

"Oh, mom," his father says very lightly, almost not audible. "Mom?"

This woman was Luke's grandmother, he remembers when he was younger seeing her gravestone and mentioning it to his uncle. The next day it was no longer there.

"Ani? Is that you," his grandmother asked gently, reaching up to her son's face and touching it lightly.

"I'm here mom. You're safe now. Hang on. I'm going to get you out of here."

"My son, oh my son. You look so handsome and grown. I knew you'd come back to me."

"Save your strength mom, we've gotta get out of here."

"I'm so proud of you. So proud. I have missed you so much."

"I've missed you too mom."

"Now I am complete. I love," Lukes grandmothers words begin to fail her.

"Stay with me mom," his father pleads to the woman in his arms.

"I love you," she says finally. Her arm slowly drops, and Luke knows she is dead.

"Mom? Mom," his father now pleading more, tears streaming down the man's face.

Luke's father then looks up with pure hatred and anger in his eyes. Causing Luke to shiver as the air around him suddenly grew cold. His father gets up igniting the same lightsaber he used to cut open the hut as the man walked out of the hut into the Tuskin camp. Luke looks on in horror as his father mercilessly kills every Tuskin in the camp.

Everything shifts again, Luke is now surrounded by tall buildings, slight smoke coming out of some. He hears a ship fly by then an almost frantic beeping coming from an astromech droid, that looks a lot like his droid R2-D2. Looking over he sees two men, one he can easily identify as his father. His father and the other man start walking, and Luke follows. Looking around he sees people that seem to resemble stormtroopers. Clones, this was some point before the Empire, it would make sense if this were the Clone Wars.

"Our cruiser is back," the man next to Luke's father says, the man had a lightsaber on his belt meaning he was most likely a Jedi. The man's voice is very familiar as well.

"Which means," his father, says in a smug tone. "We'll be able to get reinforcements."

"Then," the other man replies, " it looks like our problems are solved. New supplies, fresh troops, perhaps they even brought my new Padawan with them."

"You really think that's a good idea," Luke's father questions. "I mean bringing a Padawan learner into this. We're at war Obi-wan, war is no place for a youngling."

Oh, Luke looks at the man next to his father. That man is Obi-wan Kenobi, or as he knows him, Ben Kenobi.

"I spoke with Master Yoda about it. You should put in a request for one. I know you would make a great teacher."

"No, thank you," his father says extremely sarcastically.

"Teaching is a privilege, Anakin. And," Ben adds, "it's part of a Jedi's responsibility to help train the next generation."

The world around Luke changes yet again, he appears to be on the same planet as before. He sees a small Togruta girl sitting down, his father walking towards her and sitting down.

"You're reckless, little one," his father says to the girl. "You would never have made it as Obi-wan's Padawan. But, you might just make it as mine."

The girl looks up at Luke's father with a look of pure happiness.

"Come on, Ahsoka," his father says motioning to the girl and standing up.

Luke trips as his vision shifts again, looking around he appears to be in an apartment. He sees two people standing on the apartment's veranda, watching the traffic of the city before them. Looking closer at the two people he identifies them as his parents.

"When will I see you again," his mother asks. " Tonight? I have a dinner with the Malastarian cultural commissioner, but afterward?"

"A dinner? My condolences. Political talkfests like that are so," his father stops for a second seeming to sense something in the Force.

"Tedious? Yes, but," she was cut off by fingers getting placed on her list.

"Hush, Padmé. Hush. Something is wrong," his father says with worry in his voice. He leans against the railing of the veranda and yells, "Obi-wan!"

The scene shifts again before Luke and now he is by a smoldering city bike. Then out of seemingly nowhere a speeder bike lands. His father jumping out of it, dashing to the side of the body laying there, kneeling next to it.

"Obi-wan! It's me. It's Anakin. Don't move," His father says.

The man laying there is Ben, Luke realizes. Oh, Force, that's a lot of blood.

"Anakin…?"

"I'm right here Obi-wan, don't worry."

Luke realizes why he is being shown this, to show a parallel. This situation is very similar to what happened with his grandmother. Of course, Luke knows Obi-wan survives this but what was his father going through at this moment? Considering what happened last time it probably wasn't good.

Everything shifts again, Luke now the cityscape around him appears to be similar. Perhaps somewhere else in the same city. The sound of nearby blaster fire rings out through the night. The blaster fire stops abruptly, Luke hears yelling and turns to where it is coming from, he sees his father yelling into a comlink. Then one final shot. Looking over he sees Ben falling, hitting a stack of cases as he lands.

"Obi-wan!"

"I got him! Go," the young Togruta from before yells.

The events around Luke shift again, not appearing to be that far ahead in the future. The young Togruta, Ahsoka he remembers holds the seemingly lifeless body of Obi-wan Kenobi. Hearing light running he turns in the direction it is coming from and sees his father.

"How is he," his father asks.

Ashoka looks up with tears in her eyes, unable to say anything.

"Obi-wan."

Luke looks on with disbelief, is this some sort of alternate universe? More likely some big play to trick the public to think that Ben had died.

Once again everything shifts, and now Luke is surrounded by smoke. He sees a fight happening and approaches closer to get a better view. All of the sudden, the blue glow of a lightsaber is visible to Luke. Rushing forward he sees his father, lightsaber in hand fighting a person that seems to be wearing a rather odd hat. Another person joins tackling his father to the ground very close to him. The man seems to whisper something to Luke's father.

Anakin, don't follow me.

Luke realizes what this is, he saw the string of events in perfect order. Ben faked his death to go undercover as the person he looks like. Luke's father was obviously unaware, considering that his father appeared to be out for revenge. Paying attention to the events in front of him again he sees his father fall slack in the arms of Ben. As Ben stands up, the man with the peculiar hat picks up a blaster pointing it at his father. Ahsoka comes flying out of nowhere her lightsabers ignited. Standing in front of Luke's father protectively, blocking the blaster fire that is now being shot that way.

"The ship is still operational," another voice says. "I got it working. Now let's get out of here."

"You're lucky, little lady," the man in the strange hat says. "We're in a hurry. We'll have to dance another time."

The man in the bizarre hat and Ben turn around and jog away to their ship.

Ahsoka takes a step back and kneels next to Luke's father. "Master," she says with worry. "Master, are you alright?"

A groan comes from Luke's father, the man attempting to stand up.

"What is it, what's wrong?"

"That's why I felt a connection. Obi-wan is still alive," his father says to the man's apprentice.
