Looking at the events in front of him flash, Luke now sees a group of children hiding behind chairs. The doors open with a hiss revealing his clocked father, hood over his eyes.
A child walks out from behind one of the chairs and says, "Master Skywalker, there are too many of them. What are we going to do?"
Luke looks at his father, as the man stares at the children. He whispers something under his breath, looking incredibly sad. He then ignites his lightsaber.
Luckily for Luke the vision shifts again so he doesn't have to witness the children die. He sees fire, lava, and steam rising because of the heat. He sees a silver ship land and his father running to it. The ship opens revealing his mother running into his father's arms.
"I saw your ship. What are you doing out here," Luke's father asks.
"I was worried about you," came his mother's reply. "Obi-wan, he said- he told me horrible- terrible things. He," she chocks on her cries. "He said you turned to the dark side. That- that you murdered younglings."
"Obi-wan is trying to turn you against me."
"He cares about us."
"Us?"
"He knows. He knows about us. He wants to help you. Anakin, all I want is your love."
"Love won't save you Padmé. Only my new powers can do that."
"At what cost? You are a good person. Don't- please don't do this."
"I won't lose you the way I lost my mother. I am becoming more powerful than any Jedi has ever dreamed of. I'm doing it for you, everything I have done is for you. To protect you."
"Anakin…" Her voice is so full of horror that she can only whisper, "what have you done?"
"I have brought peace to the Republic."
"The Republic is dead. You killed it. You and Palpatine."
"It needed to die."
Luke stares with extreme sadness as his mother cries more, wanting nothing more than for his father to be the man she fell in love with.
"Come away with me," his mother pleads. "Help me raise our child. Leave everything else behind. Leave. Together. Now. While we still can, before something happens."
"Nothing will happen. Don't you see? We don't have to run away anymore. Let Palpatine call himself Emperor. Let him. He can do all the dirty work, the work to unite the galaxy. Unite the galaxy against him. He will make himself one of the most hated men in history. And, in time we will overthrow him."
"Anakin, stop-"
"We'll be heroes, Padmé. The whole galaxy will love us, and we will rule. Together. Make things the way we want them to be"
"Anakin, please stop," she says quietly while backing away. "I don't- I can't believe what I am hearing. Obi-wan was right. You've changed."
"I don't want to hear any more about Obi-wan. The Jedi turned against me. Don't you turn against me."
"I don't know you anymore. You're breaking my heart, Anakin. You're going down a path I can't follow."
"Because of Obi-wan?"
"Because of what you've done. What you plan to do. Stop. Anakin, please stop. Stop now. Come back. I love you."
"Liar!"
"Padmé. Move away from him," the voice of Obi-wan Kenobi rings out.
Luke sees Ben atop the ramp of the ship.
"Obi-wan?" His mother whirls around to see the man on the ramp, still and sad. "No!"
"You," a growl emits from his father as he speaks. "You brought him here…"
Luke looks at his father closely, the man's eyes were ablaze with a raging fire.
"Anakin?" A soft gentle squeak comes from his mother.
"Padmé, move away," Ben says with urgency. "He's not who you think he is. He will harm you."
His father sneers the words, "I would thank you for this. If it were a gift of love. But, you brought him here to kill me."
"No, Anakin. No," his mother says trembling immensely.
"Palpatine was right. Sometimes it is the closest you cannot see. I loved you too much, Padmé. I loved you too much to see who- what you actually are."
Luke stares in horror as his father's gloved hand raises and chokes his mother with the Force.
The vision shifts again, Luke appears to still be on the same planet as before. He sees Ben flip into the air off of a floating platform, landing on the soft soil of a hill.
"It's over, Anakin. I have the high ground," Ben yells at Luke's father.
"You underestimate my power," his father replies.
"Don't try it."
But, Luke's father did try it, a fact that greatly saddens Luke. The man's eyes are now yellow as he falls to the ground, missing his left arm and both of his legs.
The man on the ground says gently and shocked, "Obi-wan…?"
"You were the chosen one! It was said that you were to destroy the Sith," Ben's yelling falters as his words come out, "not join them. Bring balance to the Force not leave it in darkness." His words fail him even more as he cries out, "you were my brother, Anakin. I loved you, but I couldn't save you. Even though I wish I could have," the last words barely able to be heard over the cries of pain.
"I hate you," the man on the ground, almost unrecognizable as Luke's father yells.
Luke blinks tears away from his eyes, he is in a vision still no matter how real this one may seem. He is in an elevator with his father next to him, the respirator echoing in the small box. Luke looks down and sees shackles on his wrists, one of his hands gloved.
"What," he asks out loud. Wondering what's going on he remembers what Ben said to him at the beginning of his vision. That he may even see the future. He saw his father's fall and many of the reasons why it happened, and now he is seeing a possible future.
The doors of the elevator open almost impossibly slow. Through the doors Luke sees a chair, as a hand places itself on his should, guiding him forward to the chair. The chair turns slowly to reveal the Emperor.
"Welcome, young Skywalker. I have been expecting you," the Emperor says in a tone that can almost be distinguished as friendly. "You will no longer need those," he says, waving his hand opening the bindings on Luke with the Force. The metal clang of the shackles hitting the floor echoes throughout Luke's mind.
Time almost seems non-existent to Luke as he is now holding his lightsaber and standing over his father. He hears something that sounds like cackling behind him.
"Good," the Emperor says behind him causing Luke to turn and face the man. "Your hate has made you powerful. Now. Fulfill your destiny and take your father's place at my side."
Luke has no control over what he says as if his body now has a mind of its own. "Never. I'll never turn to the dark side." He throws his lightsaber to the side. Luke is simply an observer in his own body right now, he has no control over his actions. "You have failed, your highness. I am a Jedi. Like my father before me."
The Emperor's face turns to a sneer. "So be it. Jedi."
Luke is then on the ground electricity coursing through his body. The electricity coming from lightning that the Emperor is conjuring from his fingertips.
"If you will not be turned, young Skywalker," the Emperor spits with malice. "You will die."
Luke attempts the one thing he can think of, calling out to his father. "Father, help me." He is unsure if that was him or his future self. "Please."
