Hi. I'm bored, and my Internet is being stupid, so I can't do anything. It loses. So I thought I'd type this up. I've had this done for a while, but, for some reason (don't ask me why) I was nervous to post it. Yes, me, Miss Thirty One Stories, was nervous. So be nice about this one. Please.

WARNING: HBP spoilers.

DC: Not mine.

NOTICE: This is dedicated to all that read this. Don't ask why I'm all mushy and crap, I really don't know.

Success. What is it? Success is different from person to person. It all depends on the point of view.

Some people see it as getting a job. Some see success as simply getting through the day. Some think it's making a difference.

For me, success is just to be happy.

When I was younger, I was never happy. Then, after I came to Hogwarts, my life got better. I had friends for the first time. But after my fourth year, my life started to go downhill.

First Cedric, then Sirius, now Dumbledore.

I wonder if I will ever be truly happy. Sure, once Voldemort is killed, if Voldemort is killed, things could be better.

But what if they're not?

If I kill Voldemort, things would all be different. There will be bitter people. People who presently care for me may hate me, wishing that I got to Voldemort before he got to their families.

And what about Ron and Hermione?

The only reason that I'm friends with either of them is because I'm ' the boy who lived'. That's all that's holding us together. Our common goal to defeat Voldemort. Will we really remain friends if I kill him? Or will we drift away?

All I want is to be happy. But I know that I never will be. I'm here to help others, not myself. I will never be truly happy.

But I can live with that. Because I love them. All of them, every single good person. And love can make people do crazy things sometimes.

If everybody can be happy, I don't need to be.

After all, is success really everything?
