Chapter 10 - Parasite
With Ozpin
Ozpin was not too happy and it wasn't because it was early in the morning and something was wrong with the coffee machine. The headmaster who did not have his caffeine fix was very angry. While he didn't show it when he questioned Ruby about the incident on the night of the dance. Opin was at his limit with his friend James.
Naturally, Ozpin respected James Ironwood and held him in high regard. As a general of Atlas and a respected leader who has a successful career in the military. It was a no brainer when it came to offering the man a spot in his social circle. Only now, the headmaster could see that perhaps it was a mistake and that James is too old or perhaps just mentally unfit regardless of age. Instead of relying on him for his expertise and experience, Ozpin saw the man as a potential danger.
'My mistakes never cease do they?' Ozpin mentally asked himself.
Thinking about it now, Ozpin remembered the talk he had with Ruby when she questioned her own leadership on her first day. Back then, he told Ruby about his own experience with leadership and failing when it came to being betrayed or having unreliable subordinates and partners. The most recent being Raven Branwen, now she's out there leading the gang of thugs she was born and raised from. Using the secrets he had given her as an excuse to stay alive as well as blaming him for all of his issues.
Ozpin sighed as he stood up and looked out the window, "I do admit, it is my own fault for placing so much pressure on many people. Including putting them in the line of fire." He said as he looked at the academy grounds. "Still, there are some faults that are not in my control. Yet, I am the target of the contempt of others. Though I would have to be a hypocrite if I said I was a better parent." he said to himself.
Ozpin's mind tuned to an image of Leon Belmont.
"Perhaps I have been to lenient lately. I think it's time I set up an emergency meeting with the council. This military…" Ozpin stopped himself as he was blinded by a flash of light.
In the distance, Ozpin saw a giant bright light made of electricity coming from Vale. Along with a giant amount of steam following it. This was no natural disaster and it was too big to be some criminal activity. Before long, Ozpin saw the Atlas mobilizing towards Vale.
"What on Remnant has happened?" Ozpin asked himself.
At the bottom of the pit, two hours earlier
Ruby winced as she crashed hard onto the ground. The silver eyed girl gritted her teeth as she struggled to move. As Ruby wiped her tears away and got her bearings. Only to be blinded by a bright light, coming from a door that was opened. As Ruby covered her eyes and stumbled back, she immediately found a giant gap behind her leading to an even further pit. Not wanting to risk falling again, Ruby focused on the doorway.
Where she found a pair of White Fang members coming in and spotting her.
"Hey, how did that kid get in here?" One of them asked.
Ruby quickly shook off the pain and adjusted her vision quickly. As the two imposing terrorists quickly walked up to her. Both intending to either harm or capture her.
"You're coming with us intruder." the other said.
Ruby glared as her arm hardened into a crystal like material. Using the element of surprise, Ruby crashed her fist into the mask of one of the Fang members. Causing the mask to completely shatter and knock them into the ground. The other Fang member backed up and pulled out a gun on Ruby only for the girl to grab her whip and grabbed them by the leg. Without having a chance to aim, Ruby pulled Fang member down by the leg before dropping her elbow onto his abdomen.
"Stupid… brat…" the Fang member said.
"I'm not a brat!" Ruby said as her attack was followed by a punch to the jaw.
Having knocked out the second Fang member, Ruby grabbed the other one that attempted to maintain consciousness. Where she proceeded to throw them through the door where they came from. Now that the goons were dealt with. Ruby suddenly realized that she may have stumbled upon the hideout that Roman mentioned in that assembly that Blake snuck into.
Before Ruby continued to move forward. She stopped and looked up at the giant hole she accidentally created. Her silver eyes then moved to her mask which managed to land without being damaged. Ruby quickly picked up the mask and cradled it before putting it on. With that done, Ruby walked out of the room and quickly took cover as she saw the large amount of White Fang members moving around.
Along with a familiar face.
"Speed it up, we're on a time sensitive schedule. I don't want to sound like a Saturday morning cartoon villain, but…" Roman stopped and sighed. "Who cares? Time is money people!" he yelled as he tapped his cane on the ground.
Ruby narrowed her eyes, 'I guess this is the secret hideout Roman mentioned when Blake spied on him.' she thought. 'Still, brute force is a bad idea.' she thought as she used her semblance to move around.
As Roman continued to look around and double check his cargo. The criminal started to notice how there are so few of his hired henchmen around. Roman looked around as he wondered if this was time for a shift change or if they changed position. Either way, Roman didn't like the idea of having too little men. To few employees mean less work being done at a slower rate.
After a couple of minutes of continuing the next stage of his plan. Roman decided to get to the bottom of this.
"Okay, I want a head count. How many of you are taking extended breaks?" Roman asked as he backed away from the train. Suddenly an unconscious Fang member fell in front of him, "I've heard of forced overtime and forced vacations, but forced nap times?" he asked before noticing a trail of red flower petals.
Roman quickly raised up his cane and prepared to fire on the intruder. As he saw several more members of the White Fang started to hit the ground.
"Really Red? Do you know how much harder it is to keep these ones employed?" Roman asked with frustration.
"Maybe I like see you get angry, Hat." Ruby said, mocking him by giving him a dumb nickname.
"Hat!? You annoying brat!" Roman yelled as he fired towards the sound of Ruby's voice.
Before Roman could even hope to hit the girl who has annoyed him with her presence on more than one occasion. He heard the sounds of an explosion in the distance. Where he saw the rest of Team RWBY and Doctor Oobleck run out. Causing more chaos in the midst of all of this confusion and it didn't help that Ruby knocked out a good chunk of Roman's lackeys with her stealth abilities.
"What is she? A ninja?" Roman asked as he kept looking around for Ruby.
Suddenly several knives hit the train car beside his head, "My big brother taught me!" Ruby yelled.
"Then I know who to send the casket too!" Roman yelled as he fired at the location where the knives originated. Only for his hat to get pinned as well, "I'll add a bill to that as well, Red!" he yelled as he ripped off his hat and hopped aboard the train.
By then, WBY and Oobleck managed to take down the Fang members that got in their way. They proceeded to run towards the train as they heard Roman barking out orders to get the training moving despite not being prepared for an official departure. Roman didn't care as he realized his operation is already compromised and needing to get a move on.
At the same time, the team saw their leader's red petals float towards the train.
"Ruby's on the train!" Yang yelled.
"Then we better hurry up and get on!" Blake said.
"Don't worry about it girls. These tunnels have long since been abandoned and likely collapsed. There is no way that train could move anywhere." Oobleck said confidently.
"Hurry up and get on the train! We're moving ahead of schedule before a certain someone ruins everything again!" The voice of Roman announced as the train started to move.
"Or not." Oobleck said as they jumped aboard the train.
With Ruby
As the train picked up some speed, Ruby did her best to hang on while trying to move towards the door leading to the inside of the train. Ruby's initial plan was to get to Roman with a more safe approach. Which was going through the main doors on the sides of the train. However that was no longer possible and the problem wasn't that the doors weren't located between the train car cables.
"Ruby!"
The problem also wasn't that Ruby's teammates were here. Actually that made things less concerning as Ruby wouldn't be able to leave them behind.
"What were you thinking going on your own, you dolt!?" Weiss asked frantically.
"I fell!" Ruby argued.
"Not down the hole! Getting onto this train!" Weiss corrected.
"Well I don't have time to explain because I think I found a bomb and now we need to move again." Ruby said as she pointed to the interior of the train car.
Oobleck adjusted his glasses as he looked inside, "Correct Ruby, that indeed is a bomb. I recommend we move and cut the train car's cable." he said as the girls nodded.
As the team jumped onto the next car. Blake stopped midway and prepared to break the cable only for it to release on it's own just as Oobleck crossed.
"Professor Oobleck…" Blake tried to say before being interrupted.
"Doctor!" Oobleck yelled, wanting to remind everyone of his proper title.
"Doctor Oobleck, I think someone already planned to release these cars." Blake said as the car exploded once it war far away from them.
"Well that solves that." Oobleck said, unaware that they are far from safe.
"Profe- Doctor Oobleck, we have another bomb." Weiss said.
"And another here!" Yang yells.
"This train is armed with bombs? But why?" Oobleck asked out loud as the next train car broke off.
From then on, the teacher and first year students continued to make their way across the train. While simultaneously trying to avoid being taken away by the many train cars that contained explosives. Reaching Roman is the end goal, however it appeared that the White Fang had other ideas. For a group of racist extremists, they really did not want to lose Roman to these girls.
It was a mystery as to why they didn't show any concern as to why their train cars were exploding.
"Get the humans!" one of them ordered.
The White Fang quickly ran up to them, "We're surrounded." Weiss said.
"You're going to let a few thugs stop you?" Ruby asked before running at them.
Before anyone said anything, Ruby used her semblance to bypass the first group. All of whom ended up falling off of the train due to Ruby quickly shoving between each dash while their guards were down. Seeing that they were being attack all of a sudden. The White Fang focused on Ruby until Weiss created a giant path of ice in between them.
"Well now I'm more afraid of you abandoning us." Weiss said in a serious tone.
Ruby nodded before ducking down at Weiss' sword rapidly struck each Fang member that was within range. Meanwhile Ruby grabbed her whip and started pulling down and Fang member with a long range weapon that could hit Weiss. Yang assisted in that regard as her gauntlets allowed her to hit some mid range Fang members while Blake also dealt some rapid strikes with her sword.
Though unable to witness the remarkable dispaly of forced close quarters combat. Oobleck soon realized what the purpose of the bombs were for. As each time one train car exploded, the ceiling above them would collapse. Resulting in attracting large amounts of Grimm who could sense all the negative energy from the fighting.
"I guess that's why they weren't worried about the bombs." Oobleck said to himself. Though he was still curious, "I suppose it is possible to survive jumping off from a train at this speed if properly prepared. Though, I do not want to imagine the criminals who these girls have knocked off of the train." he adds.
With the unfortunate souls
The White Fang members that fell of the train due to the fighting found themselves in a predicament.
"I knew I should have stayed being a plumber." One of them said.
"Is anyone armed?" another asked.
The few that were able to regroup soon found themselves being cornered by these mindless animals. As the Grimm snarled and charged at them.
"Someone find a way out!" a third Fang member yelled as so few were able to defend themselves.
Back with Oobleck
The teacher shrugged, "Who am I kidding? I can't worry about every little detail." he said before joining the girls in the fight. "We need to stop this train!" He yelled.
"That much is obvious Doctor Oobleck!" Ruby replied, making the doctor falter.
What was even worse was the fact that the stolen Atlas Paladins appeared and started shooting at them.
"Now is not a good time!" Ruby yelled.
"I can hold them back! Just go!" Oobleck yelled.
"I'll stay behind and help Doctor Oobleck. You guys stop Roman and the train." Yang said. Only for Yang to grab Ruby's arm, "Wait Ruby, I'm sorry about earlier. I was being stupid again.."
"I don't want to hear another stupid excuse." Ruby interrupted as she pulled away. "Not that you really care." she said, hurting Yang in the process.
Unfortunately, Yang had no chance to continue talking. As she had to worry about fighting the Paladins with Oobleck.
Inside of the train
Once inside, the girls made a beeline for the locomotive. When out of nowhere, some multicolored girl with an umbrella jumped out. Not wanting to let the train reach it's destination, Blake jumped in and distracted the multi colored girl. As Blake struck the girl with a quick strike, she immediately shattered like class. Resulting in Blake being hit in the back of the head with the umbrella. Only to reveal that Blake was made of stone and shattered upon impact.
The umbrella girl looked around quickly only to be kicked by Blake from behind. Though she quickly recovered and prepared herself against Blake's tricks.
"Okay, what was that?" Weiss asked as they kept running.
"Have you ever heard of nightmare fuel Weiss? Well now you have witnessed seizure fuel." Ruby answered.
Weiss groaned, "I think I know what you mean now. Wait, wasn't that the girl who saved Roman last time?" she asked.
"I think it was, but…"
*SCREECH*
Ruby stopped mid sentence as a White Fang lieutenant with a big chainsaw appeared, "Okay, they must be desperate." she said.
"I can handle him!" Weiss said.
Ruby nodded as she burst into petals and moved around the chainsaw wielding. However, it appeared that he did not have any concern with Ruby getting past him. As he looked fairly excited to deal with Weiss on his own.
"Lucky me, I get to kill a Schnee." the lieutenant said as he revved up his chainsaw.
Weiss refused to give into fear and took her usual fighting stance.
With Roman
Like in a typical supervillain fashion way, Roman stood at the front of the train where he awaited his destination. At least until Ruby kicked the door down and revealed herself. Roman groaned very loudly as he turned to face the masked girl yet again.
"What is it with you Red? Are you mad? Is it because I almost blew you up that one time at the Dust store?" Roman asked. "Because you need to let it go. In fact, you tried to do the same to me!" he yelled as he fired his cane at point blank range.
Only to miss as Ruby bursted into petals. Before delivering a high kick to the face. Letting out a curse from the pain, Roman rolled away as he started swinging his cane at Ruby. Who in return, pulled out a one handed staff from her behind her back. The two traded blows back and forth until Roman backed up and gained some space. Where he started shooting again while cautiously avoiding hitting the train controls.
"If I don't get rid of you now. There's a chance you are going to ruin all of my other operations!" Roman yelled as he kept missing.
Ruby snickered, "Sucks for you Roman. Also, can I ask you a personal question?" she asked as she ran around the shots.
"What!?" Roman asked as he managed to hit Ruby's masked face.
Ruby looked unfazed, "How come all of you thieves and crooks work so hard to break the law." she said before being hit again. Hard enough for the mask to fall off, "But you don't this much effort in a real job?" she asked, revealing a smirk.
Roman tightly gripped his cane, "The gain, Red. it's the gain! You don't gain this much bagging groceries!" he said sounding frustrated.
When suddenly Ruby brought down her head against his. In his frustration and lack of attention between each strike. Roman didn't notice that Ruby hardened the sides of her head. As the collision hurt Roman more than it did Ruby as he landed on his back while cradling his face.
"OUCH! YOU LITTLE… I'm going to get a massive bruise from that!" Roman yelled as he flipped his cane.
Where the handle fired a hook and wrapped itself around one of Ruby's legs. Ruby stood her ground as Roman tried to pull her down. As she picked up her her staff and tried to hit him while he was down.
Back with Blake
With the fight almost having turned into a battle of illusions. One that would make anyone else cross eyed by now. Blake found herself having to keep an eye on Neo who was glaring at Blake. Most likely because she was not a fan of someone using their own illusion technique to confuse her. Though Blake is lucky that Neo is a mute, otherwise she would hearing the short girl curse up a storm.
Before they continue their battle, they heard a loud bark.
"Huh?" Blake asked.
Neo raised a sign with a question mark in response. Both girls saw a chibi dog standing at the doorway of the car. Blake's eyes immediately widened as she recognized the dog. Neo looked around the dog before pointing her umbrella at Blake suspiciously. By now, Blake wanted to run away as if the dog was about to chase her like a normal dog would do to a cat. It didn't help that the dog started to sniff around the air before moving towards Blake.
At that moment, Neo quickly thrusted her umbrella at Blake who parried the attack before jumping over her. Blake counter attacked and started rapidly swinging at Neo until she shattered like glass again. By then, the dog was already in front of Blake. Causing her to quickly jump over the dog just as it opened it's tiny mouth as Neo prepared to attack again. Ending with Neo seeing the giant amount of sharp teeth in the dog's mouth as the canine increased in size.
Neo was so confused and disturbed by what she saw. At first, she thought that this battle of illusions and tricks was making her delirious. That she assumed that the tiny dog that looked quite like a stuffed animal. Immediately transform into a hulking dog that was red with fury and growling at her like a rabid wolf. The one thing that went on in Neo's mind was:
'I think this is why Roman would not buy me any pets.' Neo thought as the dog chomped down on her.
Immediately shattering into glass again.
"GRAAAAAHHHHH!"
Clearly the dog was not happy with being fooled. Prompting Neo to run away and think of how to save Roman with this creature onboard.
Back with Ruby
*THUMP*
Roman hit the floor again, "I suppose this is the part where you give some heroic anecdote Red? Or maybe ask why I turned to life of crime? Because both seem redundant." he said, as he didn't have anything witty to tell her.
"Not really, just remember the importance of a good night's sleep Roman." Ruby said.
"Why do I need to remember…?"
*SMACK*
"Good night Mister Clockwork Orange." Ruby said as she knocked Roman unconscious.
Before Ruby could focus on the stopping the train. She heard Weiss crashing into the locomotive with the lieutenant following her. Ruby immediately ran to the side of her friend as the lieutenant's chainsaw was about to rip her to shreds.
*CLANG*
"Weiss, get back! I'll hold him off and you hit him!" Ruby yelled as she drew a sword from her cape.
Weiss snapped out of her shock, "Sure!" she said as she quickly stood up.
As Weiss was about to find a weak point to hit the lieutenant or at least disable him with her ice. They were interrupted by the sound of rabid barking as the dog that attacked Blake had barged in.
"What the heck is that!?" Ruby asked as she lost concentration.
Causing her to lose her grip on her sword, making it slide across the ground as the lieutenant stumbled around. As the monster dog was about to attack again. The lieutenant moved out of the way in time to avoid it's range. Before aiming for Ruby to end her and Weiss' life before considering an escape route.
Ruby's eyes widened in horror as she raised her arms to block the weapon. With more ice seemingly forming around her arms in an attempt to actually shield herself from the motorized weapon. Just as the lieutenant wildly swung at Ruby. He stumbled and let go of his chainsaw, making it flying over the air and into the monstrous canine's mouth. Instead of killing it, the chainsaw embedded itself into the dog's mouth and making it choke for a moment as it attempted to vomit out the weapon.
With this brief moment of rest, Ruby saw the White Fang Lieutenant lying on the ground. With her own sword stuck against the side of his throat. With Weiss standing over him with eyes filled with sheer terror before she collapsed and fell to her knees.
"Weiss?" Ruby asked, only to hear some murmuring. Ruby quickly got up and put her hands on Weiss' shoulders, "Weiss! It's okay now! He won't hurt you anymore!" She said trying to comfort her.
"I killed him… I killed a person… he was breathing… a living breathing person…" Weiss muttered as tears fell down her cheeks.
"Weiss, snap out of it. Please, you're not a bad person!" Ruby tried to say.
"RAAAAGH!" The canine snarled as it ripped out the chainsaw form it's mouth.
"Weiss! We need to run, now!" Ruby yelled.
But Weiss kept murmuring, "Blake was right…" she whispered.
"What?" Ruby asked.
"BLAKE WAS RIGHT!" Weiss screamed.
Ruby didn't have time to comfort Weiss in her moment of hysteria. Thus she quickly lifted the girl over her shoulder and picked up Myrtenaster before running. Using Petal Rose, Ruby managed to float around the wild canine as it attempted to attack them. Where she immediately made it straight to the top of the train where she found Blake trying to look for another way in.
"Blake!" Ruby cried out.
"Ruby? What's wrong with Weiss?" Blake asked as she saw Weiss looking traumatized.
"You were right… the White Fang…" Weiss muttered.
"What is she talking about?" Blake asked.
Weiss started breaking down into tears again, "I killed a faunus Blake… I killed him without a care…" she said in between hiccups.
Blake still looked confused, "One of the White Fang had a chainsaw and overpowered her. I tried to stop him, but I got distracted by this monster. So Weiss killed him when his back was turned." Ruby rapidly explained.
Blake's eyes widened, "Then that means…" she trailed off as Weiss held onto Ruby for comfort.
When suddenly, the monster dog bursted it's ugly head from the train cart's roof. Blake felt even more terrified as the monster attempted to squeeze itself out onto the rooftop. Before anyone said anything, Ruby gently placed Weiss into Blake's arms.
"Take care of her Blake, please." Ruby said as Weiss was still crying.
As Ruby left to deal with the monster. Blake did her best to comfort Weiss. Where she started thinking about their argument a couple months ago when it came to the White Fang. If Blake was still her naive self, she would have likely admonished Weiss for her actions and being a typical Schnee as depicted by the public. Now, the open minded faunus could see Weiss, not as some spoiled brat with a perfectionist complex. Blake saw a scared woman who loathed herself for acting out on self defense.
"I'm like you said…" Weiss as her tears stained Blake's shirt.
Blake shook her head, "No! You're not Weiss! You're not a monster! You did what you had to in order to survive!" she tried to tell her. "That wasn't just a faunus you killed. He was a bad man with no concern for your life or the lives of others!" she said trying to pour her heart out.
Just then, Yang arrived after having dealt with some of the Paladins, "What's going on? Is Weiss hurt?" she asked.
"No, but we'll explain later. Right now, Ruby is in trouble." Blake said as Yang looked around for her sister.
"I'll help her! You two take cover! Oobleck is distracting a few Paladins." Yang said before running after Ruby.
As the two sisters engaged the monster dog in a fight. Blake continued to comfort Weiss while trying to bring her back to reality.
"Weiss, I know you feel like utter crap. Trust me, I felt the same way in an accident a long time ago." Blake said as Weiss started to go silent. "You feel like a monster. You feel like your pride was just nothing. That deep down you're really weak and can't handle things when your actions mean more than your words." she explains.
"Ruby watch out!" Yang yells as the dog starts throwing punches at Ruby.
"I got it! Just hit it from behind!" Ruby yells as she avoids the beast's fast punches.
Doing as she said, Yang started to use all of her strength to put a dent into the dog. Causing the beast to snarl in pain as the sounds of loud crunching is heard coming from it's back. As the dog turned around, Yang surprised it with several blasts to the head that made it stumble backwards. The mad dog snarled loudly as it recovered and attempted to crush her with it's fist. Only for it to be severed by another large blade that Ruby pulled out.
"I think we need a new game plan." Ruby said.
"Yeah, first we need to…"
*CRUNCH*
Yang stopped mid sentence as she was horrified by the dog's return. The demonic looking canine bit down on Ruby's abdomen as it pounced on her. Yang screamed with all her rage as her semblance came to life. Each punch she dealt to the dog was coated with a lot of fire to the point that it's own fur started to turn to ash.
"LET HER GO YOU STUPID ASS MUTT!" Yang screamed as she kept punching the beast.
Only for it to whine as several spikes made of a crystal like material came out. Suddenly, Ruby was free from the beast's jaw but not without some injury. As the beast cried out in pain and attempted to remove the spikes from it's body. It ended up stumbling backwards and off of the train. Where it ended up rolling away and towards the horde Grimm that were now chasing the train.
"Ruby!" Yang called out as she tried to grab her sister.
"Yang, let me go. We need to stop this train." Ruby said as she saw that the train was about to crash into a giant pair of locked doors.
"You're injured, I can jump into the front and hit a switch." Yang said but Ruby shook her head.
"No Yang, it's too late." Ruby said before bursting into petals.
"Ruby no!" Yang yelled as Ruby dashed towards the walls where the train was about to hit her.
Blake held onto Weiss in a tight embrace, "Weiss, for what it's worse. I'm really sorry for what I said earlier when we met." she said as a tear fell down her cheek. "I wish I was a better friend to you and everyone else." she said as Weiss gripped her arms.
"No… I'm sorry for judging you all before getting to know you." Weiss said as she looked into Blake's eyes.
As Yang attempted to use Ember Cilica to give her the boost jump she needed to get to Ruby. Her gauntlets immediately locked up from having used her ammunition. Yang shook her head frantically as she tried to think of a way to save her sister who was standing at the path of the train for no reason.
"Ruby move out of the way!" Yang screamed.
Ruby ignored her sister's screams as she took deep breaths. The masked girl reached for her hand as she triggered the switch on her ring. The very same one Weiss accidentally cut herself with a few days ago. Ruby continued to pant as she prepared to cut herself with the jewel. All the while hearing the incoming train heading towards her.
Ruby closed her eyes and attempted to drown out the loud sounds.
Flashback, the day Yang abandoned Ruby
Ruby was crying as she dragged herself across the forest of Patch. As the girl continued to cry out for help. The Grimm managed to claw at her shoulder and leg. Causing Ruby to drag herself while feeling her injuries open further as she attempted to escape.
"YANG! YANG PLEASE COME BACK!" Ruby cried out as her face was stricken with tears. "ANYBODY! MOMMY! DADDY! UNCLE QROW!" Ruby continued to cry out as she looked around for help or some escape route.
Instead, all of Ruby's hope relied on one tree. A very large one with a small gap that she could fit through and possibly take shelter in. As the Grimm continued to chase Ruby and continued to get closer. Ruby made a dash for the tree in an attempt to hide from the Grimm. Once she reached it, Ruby found no solid ground near the entry way of the tree.
Causing her to plummet into a body of water. Having fallen and not knowing how to swim. Ruby's screams were drowned out by the water as she sank deep. Causing the girl's real life nightmare to further continue.
That is, until she felt a sharp pain in the back of her neck. Causing the girl to feel like her flesh was on fire. Before the tree she was under exploded from the release of a powerful source of golden lightning.
End of flashback
Ruby screamed as she stabbed her and with the ring. Causing her entire body to be engulfed in golden lightning. Causing the entire train tunnel to fall apart as the lightning destroyed the ceiling leading to the streets of fail.
Meanwhile, Blake and Weiss dragged Yang away. As Weiss surrounded the group in a large dome of ice in an attempt to brace for the crash.
With JASN
The group was astounded by the sight of the massive steam coming out. Once the lightning died down, they were able to see that the city was still in one piece. Only they were still unsure of what was going on.
"Was that some kind of explosion?" Josuke asked.
"Explosions cause smoke, not… steam." Adam pointed out as he lifted his mask to see with his one good eye.
Naruto narrowed his eyes, "Sorry guys." he said before jumping off of the bullhead.
"Naruto!" Josuke yelled.
Squall groaned, "Why the hell do you have to be so difficult?" he asked as he jumped down.
"Are you guys suicidal!?" Josuke screamed only to see them land on a building rooftop.
Squall chased Naruto towards the center of Vale. Where he was going to get some answers as to why his partner was acting irrational all of a sudden. Meanwhile Adam contemplated jumping down as well while Port was trying to get the pilots to swing around for his students.
"Adam, you know Naruto the best. What is going on with him lately?" Josuke asked.
"By this point, this is a mystery to me." Adam answered honestly.
"Hang on everyone, something is coming out of the fog." the pilot said.
As the bullhead maintained it's distance from the center of the town. Port and his two remaining students were shocked. Beyond capable of understanding the sight that stood before them.
"Is that a new Grimm?" Adam asked.
Port shook his head, "None I've ever heard of before. Even so, Grimm are not capable of looking relatively human.
With Naruto
Squall tackled his partner down, "What is wrong with you?" he asked.
"Not now Squall, I have to get to the center. Ruby is in trouble!" Naruto yelled.
"What does any of this have to do with your sister?" Squall asked.
"A lot, some secrets aren't meant to be revealed Squall. I get that maybe I'm annoying and pester you, but that's because I actually want to befriend you guys." Naruto said as he pushed Squall off. "I get that you had a bad life and I'm not trying to be mean or act like a hypocrite." he said with a sigh.
Where he then looked at the giant figure coming out of the steam.
"But I understand that I can't force you or anyone to tell me anything you are not comfortable with." Naruto said.
Squall shook his head, "What is so bad that you need to hide it from everyone?" He asked before seeing the giant figure.
"That." Naruto admitted as he pointed at the giant.
"…what… is that?" is all Squall could say as his mind failed to comprehend the situation.
Naruto sighed, "That's my sister." he answered.
At the center of Vale, with WBY
Yang hissed as she felt a lot of pain corse through her body. As the dome of ice that Weiss created in an attempt to protect everyone did save them from a life threatening injury. They still had to go through the ordeal of crashing through a blocked tunnel and into the surface using a high speed train.
"I'm alive…" Yang said sounding surprised. Where she then looked around for her teammates, "…where's Ruby?" she asked as she struggled to stand.
Despite seeing her two teammates among the steam that surrounded them. Yang was determined to find her sister and guarantee her safety. Instead, the girl would find something more concerning than her sister's health.
"GrAhAhAhAh!"
Yang quickly covered her ears as she heard a loud animalistic shriek nearby. The shriek was so loud that Yang could feel her entire body vibrate along with the ground as if a small earthquake had occurred. Now nervously trying to find the source of the shriek. Yang found herself looking above to find some sort of giant female with exposed flesh standing over her. The female was no doubt at least 15 meters tall and dwarfing the buildings around town.
Yang quickly took cover as did Blake and Weiss as the giant slowly moved around the debris. Where it kneeled down and placed a hand on the giant hole created by the train. By this point, the Grimm were about to invade the city until the giant started to release some sort of crystal like material that attached itself to the ground and completely sealed the giant gaping hole.
Even with the screams of all the civilians running in terror from the sight of the giant. Yang could only hear nothing but the sounds of the ringing caused by the crash and her own heart beat. For when the giant was done sealing up the Grimm's path to Vale. She looked towards Yang and her team. Where they all got a good look at the monstrous female.
The giantess had big silver eyes, black hair and red hair at the bottom where it stopped her neck. The female looked at team for a moment before looking away as if they were of no significance to her. Once again, WBY was confused as the giantess exploded into steam just as Atlas fired several missiles at the monster. Only to completely miss and end up hitting an empty building that was evacuated.
"What the hell was that?" Blake asked.
The steam quickly dissipated and all that was left of the giant was rotting bones and flesh. Like the Grimm, this monster's corpse would likely disappear before anyone could get a chance to study it.
"That thing… it looked like Ruby." Weiss spoke up, but her friends gave her an odd look. "What? It did? The hair, the eyes and maybe the face if it wasn't all flesh like." she continued.
"Then where is she now?" Yang asked.
Suddenly, Naruto arrived and ran to Yang's side, "Yang! Where's Ruby!?" he asked.
Yang shook off any surprise that Naruto gave with his arrival, "I don't know." she answered.
Naruto sighed, "Damn, we'll have to look. Can you walk?" He asked.
Yang started to stand, "Yeah, let's… ahh!" she yelled as she almost collapsed.
Only for Naruto to grab her, "I'll carry you." he said as he lifted her arm over his shoulder.
Squall also arrived and helped Weiss and Blake. Both still feeling the shock of the giantess' appearance. But that didn't distract them for long as they wanted to find their missing leader. When they did, Ruby was lying on a piece of road debris with her cape and sweater in tatters and her mask being a couple of meters away from her.
Yang slowly picked up the mask, "We need to get her to a hospital." she said before wincing.
"You all need a hospital." Naruto replied before gently putting her on the debris. Where Naruto went to pick up Ruby, "Wake up Ruby, wake up baby sister." He whispered.
"Hmm… hurts." Ruby muttered.
"I know it hurts. That's why we need to get you out of here." Naruto said as he gently helped her up. Only to find strange markings under Ruby's eyes, "These aren't wrinkles." he said as Ruby fought to maintain consciousness.
Just as the entire Atlas military had arrived and mobilized to control the situation.
In the distance
The monster dog slowly reformed back into's chibi form as it approached it's master. Whimpering as if it were any normal puppy who had been abused by humans. The owner was a young woman with long brown hair tied into a ponytail with long dog ears drooping over her head.
"Poor Koro, what did those mean people do to you?" the woman asked as she stroked the dog. "That Blake, her and her human friends all mistreated you. Don't worry Koro, we'll get them all back. Not even the Grimm or giant monster creatures can stop us." she said.
Koro continued to whimper before licking it's owner's cheek as a sign of affection.
Nearby
Cinder watched the scene unfold as Atlas arrived to rescue anyone that was hurt in the explosion. All the while trying to find any sign of the giantess that was nearby. Only to come back empty handed as the creature's remains were already gone.
"Mercury, did you get footage of that thing?" Cinder asked.
"If the quality was any worse, this would be as good as any conspiracy theory video." Mercury answered as he handed his scroll over to Cinder.
"I wasn't able to get much footage either." Emerald said as she handed over her own device.
Cinder studied both devices and felt frustration as it was merely some shadows and blurry images of the creature moving around the town. It was only after a moment of patience that Cinder caught an interesting glimpse of the creature's face. Pausing the video on Mercury's scroll, Cinder tried to tamper with the device's basic editing software. Even then, Cinder was hardly able to get a detailed look at the creature but she could identify some of the features.
"Silver eyes and a mix of black and red hair." Cinder murmured before remembering something. "Do you still have that video of that masked girl who fought that champion Pyrrha?" she asked.
Mercury snorted, "Everyone recorded that fight. It's all over the internet." he said which made things easier.
After a painstaking effort to find a good video of the exhibition match. Cinder smirked as she found a good look at Ruby during the fight. of course, the red/black hair style styled into a bob matched, but thinking about it now. Cinder did meet Ruby before but never focused on her eyes.
"I think we found our real Titan." Cinder said.
"Titan?" Emerald asked.
"Yes, Titan feels like a good name for this thing." Cinder said as she felt a great interest in Ruby Rose.
Later that day, RWBY Dorm Room
Ruby started to calm down after Naruto fed her a box of cookies and some milk.
"Feeling better?" Naruto asked. Ruby nodded, "Good, now… how the hell do we get over this?" he asked.
Ruby slapped his arm, "No swearing!" She yelled.
"Okay, ouch. You didn't need to hit me so hard." Naruto said as Ruby glared.
"No one is going to say anything. They have no proof that was me. You can convict me." Ruby said as she crossed her arms.
Naruto sighed, "If that's true, how are we going to cover up your eyes?" he saked.
"My eyes?" Ruby asked curiously.
Naruto pulled out a small mirror, "Look, there's these lines under your eyes. The same ones when you transform." he said as Ruby stroked her eye bags.
"I'll just wear my mask the entire time then. Where did I put it?" Ruby asked before hearing a knock on the door.
Yang slipped her head inside, "Hey, can I come in?" she asked.
Ruby hid her head under her covers, "No." she said.
"Ruby, I don't know what happened on your trip, but your promised to be nice." Naruto said.
Ruby gave a light glare, "I don't want her." she said hurting Yang.
"Ruby." Naruto said sternly.
"She loses her chance." Ruby said as she hid her head again.
"Ruby Rose, you come out from under those covers right now." Naruto said in a fatherly tone.
Ruby really didn't like it when Naruto spoke to her like that. Not because his voice would be raised and she would be scared, but because it reminded her of Taiyang. As these situations would be followed by Tai's terrible attempt at being hilarious.
"Ruby, I understand you're angry and I don't want to force anything other than you being civil. So what does Yang have to do for you to at least look at her?" Naruto asked.
Ruby stayed silent and refused to take her head out of the covers. Naruto sighed as he at least wanted to get a good understanding of what happened. He waited for Ruby for at least another minute until he heard the sounds of Yang rummaging through some drawers. Another moment later, she heard a lot of intricate cutting in the background.
"Hey Yang, are you okay back there? Is sounds like a lot arts and crafts going on back there." Naruto asked without looking at her.
"I'm just uh… doing something to earn Ruby's forgiveness." Yang said.
"You're not getting it." Ruby said without looking at her either.
"Then let me show you how devoted I am to it." Yang said.
"Nice try Yang, but you didn't just hurt me. You hurt my mom's memory. So don't think some art diorama…" Ruby said before Yang interrupted her.
"Here you go." Yang said as she presented some hair.
Naruto looked confused, "Yang, if you are really that desperate. At least… wait, who's hair is this?" he suddenly asked.
"Mine obviously." Yang answered, shocking the pair.
Ruby popped her out from the covers and her jaw instantly dropped. Since Yang was a child, she was always sensitive about her hair and not letting people touch it. That long hair was important to Yang as a mane is to a lion. The moment a strand of hair falls, Yang would always become furious and tap into her semblance.
Now the mighty lioness had some weird crop like hair that only reached down to her neck.
"Yang! You cut your own hair!?" Ruby asked with a shocked face.
Yang smiled at her sister, "Because I do care Ruby. I get it, I'm stupid and my mistakes never seem to end. So half the crap that comes out of my mouth seems meaningless." she said. "I know I hurt you and mom has probably been pissed at me since I left you alone in the woods. So, I hurt myself in the process." she said as she raised up her hair.
"Did you cut yourself?" Naruto asked.
"No Naruto, Yang has a lot of pride in her hair. This… this is practically her heart and soul." Ruby said Yang gave to her.
"And I'm giving it to you. I think I deserve to take the hits or once. You can do whatever you want with my hair. Burn it, throw it away or force feed it to me in some baked cookies." Yang said as she was letting Ruby do whatever she wants to her by this point. She then gave a weak laugh, "Besides, I might be less annoying if I don't look like Raven." she said.
By now, while it seemed stupid to anyone else watching this unfold. Ruby can actually see that Yang was on her breaking point to have Ruby back in her life. Ruby looked at the hair in shock before Yang gently hugged her. Despite having some difficulty with how her bed was placed. It's still a mystery as to how Glynda hasn't demanded the bed to be taken down.
"Another thing Ruby, I don't know what happened earlier. Except, no matter what. I will always see you as my little sister and nothing less." Yang said as she tightened her hug. Ruby's eyes widened as she realizes her big secret is out, "I'm really scared, but not for myself. For not being able to stand with you when this happens." she said.
By now, Naruto decided to exit the room to give the two some privacy. Only to run into Blake and Weiss who were patiently waiting for the two to make up if possible.
Eventually Ruby hugged back as her tears fell, "You still want me?" she asked.
"Of course." Yang said before breaking the hug. "Though, I think Blake and Weiss caught onto… whatever that thing was in Vale." she said as Ruby's eyes widened.
"Can Naruto be here? He knows how to make things less uncomfortable." Ruby said.
Yang nods, "Of course, he's a nice guy. I can see that now and I trust him." she said.
Ruby glared, "You're not allowed to date him." she said.
"I-I-I don't like him that way!" Yang argued.
A few minutes later
With both girls and Naruto now inside. Ruby decided to explain the situation from earlier. Even now, Weiss saw many notifications going off at the same time on her scroll from the news applications. All of which were related to photos and crude videos of the giantess that was seen in Vale just before Atlas arrived.
"I hope you can clear this up Ruby. Because unlike us, the media is going crazy." Weiss said as she read the headlines.
Terrorist Attack in Vale?
Unidentified Grimm Living Under City Streets
Huntsmen Defend Vale in Midst of Sudden Grimm Attack
Atlas Investigating "Titan" Attack
"That's a cool name." Weiss said as she read the last title.
"What is?" Yang asked as she peered over Weiss' shoulder.
Naruto coughed into his fist, "Can we get back to topic. Ruby already feels sensitive and I don't want to find her sleeping outside of this dorm at night." he said.
"That's right, put your scroll away Weiss." Yang said as Weiss glared at her.
Blake sighed, "Let's get to the point. I know I'm not the one who should be asking about secrets, but can you tell us about your transformation Ruby?" she asked.
"Yeah, that's not a secret anyone can expect… or hide." Weiss said as she tried not to be insensitive.
Ruby nodded, "It was right before Naruto found me and Yang left me behind." she said as Yang was hurting.
By this point, Yang's tough exterior was becoming as sensitive as glass.
"After Yang left me behind, the Grimm started to appear so I tried to hide inside of an old cabin. When that failed, one of the beowulf's clawed me on the shoulder. So I started to run knowing that they would break in." Ruby explained.
"Ruby I…" Yang tried to say only to be interrupted by the story.
"I was lucky enough to escape the cabin, but it didn't last." Ruby said as she grabbed her shoulder. "I was already weak and slow. So it got worse when my leg was scratched at." she said as the girls winced.
Weiss looked like she was in visible pain as she reached out for the scar on her eye. It wasn't a childhood injury, but a Grimm did cause that blemish. Thinking about a child going through worse really messed her up. Not any more than Yang who thought she could have prevented the injury.
"My body was weak and I couldn't run for too long. The only hope I had was running inside of this tree with a small passage." Ruby continued to explain. "I thought I could hide out there until the Grimm wandered off. Instead, there was this pool or lake or some kind of body of water and I fell in." she said.
That caught Yang's attention, "But Ruby, you didn't learn to swim by that age. Dad was super protective and would freak out whenever we got too close to water." she said.
Taiyang is normally remembered by most to be very relaxed and a reasonable man to speak with. However, as a father, the man will tear Remnant apart for both of his daughters. So the fear of either one drowning in water is a natural fear Tai has.
"I honestly can't remember Yang. I was screaming and trying to get control of my movement. Then I remembered this sharp pain in my neck and I blacked out for most of it." Ruby explained.
"Then maybe your "Titan" form was too big for the water and tree to hold." Weiss suggested.
"Maybe, I just remember waking up in a mess of flesh. My giant body was above me and breaking apart like the Grimm when they're killed." Ruby replied.
"And what happened next?" Yang asked nervously as she was ready to break into tears at any point.
"Naruto found me. He said he was looking for mom, but… I had to disappoint him." Ruby said as Summer was deemed dead by that point.
"And you Naruto?" Weiss asked.
Naruto sighed, "I found an angrily giant that was stumbling around. Kicking around any Grimm that snarled at her until she passed out." he said only partially truthful. "I didn't find aunt Summer, but I found a cousin who I think of as a little sister." she said as Ruby hugged him.
Ruby broke the hug and looked at her team, "So, how does this change things?" she asked.
Weiss sighed, "It means we have to keep you away from the public eye." she said before walking up to Ruby. Then surprised her with a hug, "And we're still friends, but… I think this might take some time to get used to." she said.
Blake nodded, "I still don't understand how this all works, but I want to help if I can." she said, not wanting to abandon anyone again.
"Naruto?" Ruby asked.
"My radar isn't hearing to any lies or negative feelings." Naruto answered.
Ruby smiled, "Thanks guys. It's just been really hard trusting people in the past few years." she said.
"Is that why you were sensitive about Mountain Glenn?" Yang asked. Only for Ruby to start shivering, "I'm sorry, I'm being stupid again." she said before facepalming.
Ruby gave Yang a weak smile, "Maybe losing that hair made you lose some brain cells." she said.
Naruto started to laugh, "That's my girl-OUCH!" he yelled as Yang slapped him.
"My sister may be more important than my hair, but I'm not letting anyone laugh at my pixie cut or whatever this is." Yang said.
"It's a real mess Yang. You didn't have to use garden sheers." Weiss said as Yang glared at her.
"I can help fix it if you want." Blake suggested.
"Thank you Blake, you're my only real friend here." Yang said.
"So, does this "Titan" form relate to your weapons?" Weiss asked.
"What are you talking about Weiss?" Ruby asked.
Weiss pulled out a knife, "You left this on the wall when you tried to kill Sun the other day." she said as Ruby blushed.
"You left evidence behind?" Naruto asked.
"She left a whole lot to block the hole where the train came from." Weiss said.
Naruto groaned, "Look what you did now." he told Ruby who blushed. "I swear, you got too much attention." he said.
Ruby shook her head, "Before big brother gets mad, the answer is yes Weiss. That's one of my abilities." she said.
"You have more than one?" Weiss asked with wide eyes.
"I can harden my body, heal and I have more than one form. I think they interchange." Ruby answered.
By this point Naruto was at the door, "Hey, where are you going? We're having a moment." Yang said.
"I'm grabbing Josuke so he can help me destroy the evidence. His semblance can heal people and take objects apart." Naruto said.
There was no way Josuke or anyone else would help him destroy evidence protected by the Atlas military.
"Regardless, we are keeping you away from the public's attention." Weiss said as Ruby nodded. "Now, how do we deal with your eyes? Your social life is also at stake too." she said as Ruby felt offended.
With Ironwood
With his incident caused by him shooting Ruby. Ozpin had less faith in the general as he was now arguing with the council about giving full control to Ironwood. As this debate happened in the background, Ironwood started looking deep into the material used to block the Grimm from entering Vale. Despite the few that escaped, they were quickly disabled without any casualties. Leaving Ironwood to investigate the mysterious "Titan" that everyone witnessed.
Along with the strange residue that it left behind. Unsure of what the creature is or it's abilities. Ironwood is very sure that this creature may be more intelligent than the Creatures of Grimm.
"General Ironwood." one of the scientists called out.
"Report." the general said.
"Through our analysis. All we could decipher that this material is completely foreign and does not match any natural element on Remnant." the scientist said.
Ironwood raised a brow, "Then was it handmade or created?" he asked.
"I'm not sure, but it doesn't appear to be created like most chemicals. Other than that, this material is devoid of aura and very difficult to break down with standard tools." the scientist answered.
"Then was the creature a Grimm?" Ironwood asked with some doubt.
"Personally, I would say unlikely due to the appearance of the creature. Without the body, we could not study it. Other than learning that it's body breaks down like a Grimm." the scientist answered. Yet it was nothing that interested the Atlas general, "However, unlike the Grimm and this is fairly important to consider. The creature did appear to have biomass and for now we did come up with a theory. Though there is a heavy lack of evidence to support it." they added.
"All theories are questions that need to be answered. Any information learned today will help us prepare for tomorrow." Ironwood said.
"Yes General, though understand that even I am skeptical about this." the scientist said. "My colleagues believe that the creature is not dead. Instead, it merely shed it's skin or broke it's body apart like a lizard to escape predators." they continued.
Ironwood did take this thought into consideration, "This does sound rather foolish, but don't let that impede you. Keep researching, there is no telling when this giantess will return." he said as the scientist nodded.
Once they left, Ironwood almost wanted to believe that such a creature was capable of such a feat. For not even a mindless monster like the Grimm is willing to end it's own life. Those tunnels were very small and couldn't have held something that gigantic. Even more confusing is where it came from.
'This thing may be more intelligent than the Grimm. If that's the case, it may have assessed the threat on it's life.' Ironwood thought before approaching a communications officer. "I want you to contact Major Esdeath. I want her unit to arrive on the double and be ready for unexpected threats." he said.
"Right away sir!" the officer said with a salute.
"James." Ironwood winced as he heard Ozpin's voice. "I think we need to have another talk before you tear this entire city open." he said sounding very serious.
Like a child receiving a scolding from a parent, Ironwood felt some anxiety. Even if Ozpin did not have absolute authority over him in some cases. There was something about Ozpin's tone that made the general go stiff.
At night, back with RWBY
With WBY learning about Ruby's deep secret and choosing to be patient with what else the girl was hiding. Naruto went back to bed to catch up with his team. There was no doubt they would question what happened as Squall saw Ruby's Titan form in person. Perhaps that would be a talk they would have later in the future.
Squall was at least open to waiting things out as he wasn't the type to pry into things outside of his business. Except seeing a giant monster did make him feel a bit anxious. Adam on the other hand, he felt similar but knowing Ruby for a while made him slightly less tense. The problem would be Josuke since his mind still can't handle what's going on. Leaving the leader as the only one out of the loop.
Now, RWBY was preparing for a good night's rest from the recent events filled with stress.
"Are you sure you're fine Ruby?" Weiss asked.
"Yes, but how are you holding up Weiss? We didn't get the chance to check on what happened to you." Ruby said.
Weiss looked saddened, "I'm still scared and I feel like trash, but with what happened afterwards. I'm still confused and shaken." she admits.
"If you want to talk about it. I'll hear you out." Ruby said making Weiss smile.
"You two are cute friends. I wish kitty and I were like that." Yang said as the girls laughed.
"But we are friends." Blake said.
"Blake, Weiss already told us about your porn. I think it's bad enough you focus on that first." Yang replied.
Blake blushed, "It's not porn! It's an erotic novel!" she argued.
"Blake, my brother wrote Ninjas of Love. I am an unfortunate victim of his first manuscript." Weiss said as she pulled out a photo of Jiraiya.
Blake's eyes widened, "What!? Your brother is my favorite author!?" she asked with a shocked face.
Ruby laughed, "HAHA! We even met him, remember? You lost your chance at an autograph!" she said.
Blake sighed, "The world is cruel and unfair." she said.
"Hey, what's this about being a victim? What happened?" Yang asked.
Weiss groaned, "When I was little, my brother Jiraiya was a goofball. Except my younger brother and I loved him. Since he would always play with us so often that my sister would get jealous." she explained.
"Sounds like someone I know." Ruby said as Yang pouted.
"So one day, I went into his room to look for him and found a journal. I was a dumb kid and tried to read what he wrote. So when I asked my mom about it… she snapped and got real angry." Weiss explained as she started to laugh. "Actually, it's pretty funny to think about it now. I have never seen my mom so angry before. Except for the time I learned the word Dolt." she added.
"So what's the origin story of Ruby's pet name?" Yang asked.
"Okay, it's not a pet name. Also, that's a story for another day." Weiss said as Yang and Ruby whined.
"I guess not everyone has a perfect family. Sorry about insulting you earlier Weiss." Blake said.
"It's fine, when your brother is a pervert and you hardly see your sister. You tend to wonder what a normal family looks like." Weiss said as she admits to the Schnee Family being a mess.
Ruby yawned, "Good story anyways, good night guys." she said.
"Good night Ruby." the other three said.
In Team JASN's Dorm Room
With the boys having settled down for the night and resting from recent events. All four boys fell asleep fairly quickly. Dreaming about what's to come. While anyone who feels stressed and exhausted tend to sleep like a rock. Naruto started to act erratically as he tossed and turned in his bed.
Unbeknownst to anyone, the last Belmont saw an image of a strange man. One with no face, horns of a ram on his head and purple flesh that radiated brightly.
"God is coming." Naruto muttered.
TO BE CONTINUED…
RWBY JASN!
1 - What Team JASN was doing the whole time
Professor Port stroked his mustache as he stood before his students, "Welcome gentlemen to Blood Gulch. Here, I will regale you with a lesson instead of a story. Though if you wish to hear my tales afterwards, I do not mind at all." he explained.
"This place looks like something out of Vacuo." Josuke said.
"It does doesn't it? However, we are still clearly in Vale." Port said.
"Are you sure? I think we're pretty far from town." Naruto asked.
Port nodded, "Why of course we are." he said.
"I think Professor Port lost his marbles." Josuke whispered.
"Anyways, as you boys know. There are two threats on this planet and one of them is the Grimm. Can one of you tell me what the other is?" Port asked.
"Criminals and bandits?" Josuke asked.
"Dangerous wild life?" Adam asked.
"Each other?" Squall asked.
Naruto tapped his chin, "People who hate ramen?" he asked, earning looks ranging from confusion to glares.
Port laughed, "No, none of those things. Though I have to admit, Mister Belmont was the most accurate." he said as everyone face faulted. "No the second real threat to Remnant and it's inhabitants is…"
*BOOM*
"The covenant." Port finished as several banshees started to shoot at them.
"The covenant!? We're under attack by aliens!?" Naruto asked.
"Precisely! Now, instead of our unique and colorful weapons! We will be picking up every weapon in this conveniently placed cache!" Port said.
"And then what?" Squall asked as he was confused and terrified now.
Port suddenly tied a headband around his head, "Now, we get onboard that cruiser and destroy it from the inside! Let us go gentlemen!" he yelled as he grabbed a rocket launcher and ran.
"You heard him." Josuke said with a sigh.
"I didn't sign up for aliens." Naruto said as he grabbed an assault rifle.
"Whatever." Squall said as he grabbed the M9D pistol.
"If everyone is doing it. I guess I'm doing it too." Adam said as he grabbed a shotgun along with a gerka knife.
From that day, no one would ever know that the four heroes were fighting aliens while a war on crime was taking place elsewhere.
2 - Stupid Titan!
As Titan Ruby looked at Yang. She cried out in pain as a missile hit her in the back of the head. Ruby turned around and glared as she saw James Ironwood standing on a roof with a rocket launcher. Before the general could fire again, Ruby grabbed him and took him to a nearby farm. Where she ripped open to the top of a barn.
Just as a farmer came out, "What the!? Get the hell out of here you stupid giantess!" he yelled. "I don't need you ruining my farm again!" he adds.
Ruby ignored him as she dropped Ironwood into the pen for the pigs. Where he landed on their food and proceeded to be munched on. Ironwood's screams of pain were tuned out by the farmer's angry screaming.
"You damn free loader! Those pigs will get indigestion now!" the farmer screamed. He got even more angry as Ruby grabbed a cow and broke off the top of a water tower, "Put those down! It's bad enough you're ruining this year's harvest!" he continued to scream.
Ruby ignored him as she used the top of the water tower as a cup. Where she squeezed the milk out of the cow until the tower was full. The cow was as dry as a raisin by this point so Ruby tossed it away. Before she started drinking, she stumbled towards the nearby cookie factory.
"Hey! Don't go near my brother's cookie factory! You nearly put him out of business last time!" he yelled.
Ruby didn't not bother to register the farmer's words. As she ripped off the roof of the factory and stole most of the cookies inside. Before sitting down to enjoy them with her milk.
"Damn it! Stupid Titan! You ruined the economy!" the farmer yelled as he hopped around like an angry fool.
Watching as Ruby sat down and enjoyed herself.
END OF JASN CHIBI
Notes: For anyone thinking that I just put in a random ability and want to complain. Hold your horses before you run straight for the comments and make up some angry comment. Here's every piece of evidence that pointed out that Ruby is a Titan Shifter prior to this chapter.
-Ruby dreamed of a parasite consuming her and later a giant that stared down at her.
-Penny points out that like Blake, she could not confirm Ruby was completely human.
-Glynda mentioned that Ruby survived and regenerated from an explosion to the face. Aura can't regenerate that much damage. Haha, put that one down in your notes right next to "Hazel's semblance is pain numbing, not regeneration" as reference.
-The random weapons (which none of you have questioned yet) were spawned the same way the Warhammer Titan spawns weapons. As Ruby recently confirms that she accessed more than one ability.
-Ruby has repeatedly hardened parts of her body and unlike a typical shifter. She can use more than one Titan's ability despite appearing only as a Female Titan. This adds weight to her body and she used it to surprise Pyrrha by crashing into her like a cannon ball.
Finally, for those that thought Ruby was a maiden. I guess it is my fault since I should have used crystal rather than ice. Though her powers could be argued considering how not every Titan is the same and that's not considering the seven types we know. Seeing as Eren was able to manipulate some minor fire to hurt Annie despite this being an anime only scene. Regardless, I can spoil that Team RWBY does have a maiden.
I can't tell you who it is as not even this individual is aware that she's a maiden. For now, I guarantee you that it's not Ruby but someone else.
