Troublesome
Whenever Shikamaru thought of Temari, the first thing that came to his mind was simply troublesome. She was more troublesome than Ino. She was even more troublesome than his mom.
What made her so troublesome, exactly, Shikamaru wasn't quite sure. It just made her all the more troublesome that he couldn't pinpoint what made her so troublesome in the first place. It was more a mix of everything about her, really: her smirk, her attitude, her voice, her habit of saving his ass when he was perfectly capable of saving it himself (or so he insisted). But the thing that made her the most troublesome woman ever was the fact that he couldn't get her off of his mind; he couldn't ignore her like he did all the other troublesome women in his life.
Even his favorite past-time of cloud watching wasn't safe from thoughts of Temari. Wasn't it bad enough that the clouds he admired so much kept morphing into Temari-like shapes? No, it just couldn't be left at that. Temari herself had to interrupt his cloud watching -- had to block out his entire view of the peaceful sky with her spikey ponytails and smug smirk.
But then her smirk smoothed into a full-blown smile.
And Shikamaru's heart skipped a painful beat.
So troublesome.
Fin.
A/N: That was so totally pointless. And I so should be working on Let It All Out instead of revising and posting the drabbles I have in my notebook. Oh well. Review?
