Project Lupa Assassins vs the Pack chronicles CHAPTER 1

SHIELD has a secret one only a select few know about. One that Skye will find out and join, but how can she when she is keeping her own secrets from them? Will they accept her? Will this secret tear them apart? What dangers awaits them?

CHAPTER 1

Skye looked around the room she was currently occupying with the dark hexagon shapes on the wall and the empty seat across from her it was obvious these people wanted her to feel her upcoming doom. She waited impatiently as her fingers tapped against the table and she looked around the room for probably the tenth time she found herself sighing as she thought of all the possible outcomes. Why was she doing this again? Oh yeah she wanted answers. Finally someone came into the room it was Agent Coulson that she met when she was first brought in but this time Ward was not with him which she was happy about that man was a robot. Instead he came in with a woman, who looked like she could kill with her bare hands. Was she a ninja?

"We need your help." Coulson stated

"Like I said before why should I help you?" Skye replied as she had already had this conversation before when Agent Ward was in the room and she gave him so much attitude Coulson had to get him to leave the room.

"You located the hooded hero." Coulson stated

"Billions of dollars and state of the art computers and I still beat you with a laptop I won in a bet. Wow, for a secret spy organisation not that impressed if this is your best."

"What about this guy? Are you impressed by him?" Coulson asked playing a clip on a tablet of Mike rampaging through a factory destroying equipment.

"That is not the guy...he just needs a break." Skye stated now all serious, her attitude had completely changed.

"Then give him one, what have you got?" He asked. She looked at him then to the other agent and sighed.

"Promise you won't hurt him."

"That is not our intention." Coulson stated and she sighed again before handing over everything she had found on Mike Peterson. She was taken out of that room and moved to a different room that was more open, she had to hide the smile she was right they were on a plane. This new room had a holotable and a giant screen on the wall where Coulson began to debrief his team. Ward still looked pissed at her, she was introduced to FitzSimmons who she could not help but find adorable and Agent May who remained stoic the entire time Skye had no idea what she was thinking. When she heard Fitz and Simmons state that they had no solution to fix the cameras from the building that blew up Skye found herself volunteering them some information that she had.

"Your stuff is here but you were right we couldn't get in." Coulson stated and Skye felt a smug smile pull at her lips. Skye 1 super spy agency 0. She managed to convince Coulson let her take her van back to her alley with Agent May escorting her. Looking over the agent across from her as she sent Fitz the information she was on the phone with him and his ramblings had her smirking. As she half listened to Fitz talk she found herself assessing Agent May.

"How long is this going to take?" May asked

"Just about...and done." Skye stated closing her laptop after Fitz had hung up.

"Good let's get..." she stopped speaking as Mike turned up and threw her into a wall. Skye found herself wincing at the impact.

"Mike what are you?"

"Saving you from the scary men in black suits. Now it's your turn to save us." He replied and it had her freezing as he pulled his son into view Skye ended up helping him, taking him to the train station where she deleted him from everything while sending a distress signal to Coulson it does not take a doctor to realise something was seriously wrong with Mike. They turned up, they actually turned up. She was surprised they turned up but then again they wanted Mike...or so Skye thought but when the shooting started and Mike had fallen over the railing and the man was about to shoot her but May turned up and saved her. May saved her and the others saved Mike maybe these guys weren't so bad after all. Coulson ended up taking her to drop Ace off at his Aunts. He had made her an offer one she was not so sure about. Yes she would be getting what she wanted but at what cost because yes they told her there was a price but not what it was until she agreed to it.

"So anymore thoughts on our offer?" He asked as they drove on in silence.

"I'm not exactly a team player." Skye replied

"We're not exactly a team, but we are doing some good and you will get front row seats to the craziest show on earth. That is what you wanted no?"

"But at what cost?" Skye asked "I am not the best at following orders I don't like." Skye stated "besides you might get sick of me and revoke this offer." Skye added but in a quieter voice Coulson barely caught it.

"Only one way to find out. But i know for certain that if you agree to our terms you will not be sent away." He stated

"What happens if I say no?" She asked

"You can leave with the added bonus of a bracelet that stops you using computers." Coulson replied

"At all?"

"To begin with, then over time you should be able to use one given you don't go where your not supposed to." He replied

"Well when you put it like that." Skye stated agreeing to the terms that made Coulson smile and she couldn't help but smile in return it was contagious. When they returned to the bus they went up to his office once agin Agent May joined them and he held one folder both of them looking at Skye who shuffled on her feet not looking at the gaze.

"Let me say this once you sign this there is no turning back. So I ask again are you certain?" He asked after starring at him for a moment longer she found an interest in her shoes as she thought this over.

"I agree." Skye stated he handed her a piece of paper the writing was very small but it was clear that she agrees to the terms and conditions of what happens next she saw the terms and conditions but she never really reads over them so she skimmed them as the others watched her before she could change her mind she signed it. Skye. Handing it back to Coulson he raised an eyebrow at the one name but Skye could only shrug she had no family name to inherit. He nodded before smiling that was when he explained it. Part of Skye thought this was some big practical joke this could not be real. Genetically enhanced agents using wolf DNA basically making werewolves. It was a lot to take in. He ended up giving her the first injection in his office at the base of her neck which took a lot of convincing for her to allow them to seeming she hates needles. But one stern look from May had her stop complaining and accepting it. After that Coulson ended up showing her around the bus. It ending in her bunk where she ended up lying down because she was not feeling well.

She dozed off but ended up waking up seeming they had a mission. She ended up standing beside Jemma in the command room where Coulson gave a briefing. They were going to Peru to contain an O84 which Skye did not get a very good explanation of. She ended up strapping in next to Coulson as they took off for Peru, she wasn't going to mention that this would be her first time leaving the US legally. Once they were in the air Skye returned to her bunk feeling light headed, Coulson ended up sending Jemma to keep her company and make sure she was fine. Skye clung to her pillow as Jemma rubbed soothing circles on her back. Skye really wanted a hug so ended up holding her pillow tighter.

"You should get some rest, you will feel better afterwards." Jemma stated

"Will you stay with me?" Skye asked

"If you want me to."

"Please." Skye almost begged she did not want to be alone.

"Okay." Jemma replied moving on the bed making herself more comfy and taking this chance to be bold Skye moved so that she was lying on her although she was watching her the whole time to see her reaction and remained tense until she saw Jemma smile and ended up hugging her. Skye woke up when Jemma told her they needed to strap in as they were landing and Skye had to admit she really did feel refreshed. She moved out to the table and strapped in. Ward ended up joining her and she could tell he did not like her so was very grateful that Jemma came and sat next to her.

Driving through the forest to get to the temple was definitely a surreal experience but not as much as seeing the temple itself. Coulson wanted her to observe what they did and so far the only thing she could tell was that Ward was not a team player, but also Fitz and Simmons were not experienced she started thinking this was their first mission together. That was when the gunfire started and Skye once again felt that she was in over her head. Meeting Coulson's ex was something else also, especially the look May gave him. They were once again on the plane, after having an argument down in the lab Skye wanted some down time she returned to her bunk but after a while she went out to the lounge. Grabbing a drink she made her way to Ward offering an olive branch. Skye would like to call herself an excellent judge of character when it comes to others she wasn't sure if it was the amount of people on the plane or the fact that she found herself getting along with Ward but something had her anxious. When the soldiers attacked she tried to stay out of Wards way she slipped out of the grasp of one of the soldiers only to be grabbed by another this one was holding her in a choke hold. Coulson came in and he looked furious. They were hijacked. Being tied onto the cargo hold floor had memories surfacing she would much rather forget it was taking everything in her not to show the others that she was panicking. What would Alex do? She thought to herself she closed her eyes and could picture Alex sitting across from her telling her to breath then to look around this was a puzzle find the solution. She ignored Fitz and Simmons monologue and Ward's slight irritation. She heard May mention how the doors were linked to the pressure in the plane. Easy fix destabilise the pressure. She could just see Alex with a smirk blinking a couple of times she wondered what made her think of her childhood friend.

She shared her idea with the others, it was scoffed at but it was doable. Fitz and Simmons developed her idea and made it almost logical. Then Wards blatant comment on how they were dead as soon as they land anyway sold them. There was no going back now, once they were all ready. She saw the looks pass between Simmons and Fitz before they blew a hole in the plan. Everything after that was fast they got the O84 back, Skye saved Ward's life and they detained the soldiers getting their plan back. By the end of it a wave of exhaustion hit Skye and her legs trembled she clung to the back of the couch before she fell. She felt Coulson staring at her but he didn't say anything. He had Ward on guard duty until they reached the base where they were heading now. He had Simmons and Fitz back in the lab stabilising the O84 and Skye had taken this time to get back to her bunk.

"Hey how are you holding up?" Coulson asked sticking his head in her room.

"I don't know...I feel exhausted and achey." Skye mumbled once again hugging her pillow.

"Just get some more rest, this is normal." Coulson stated before leaving her to her own accord. Skye was tempted to get her laptop but decided against it instead she closed her eyes and placed her arm over them also just for good measure.

She must have fallen asleep because she ended up being woken up by Simmons who was sitting on her bed gently waking her up.

"Simmons?" She asked confused

"Sorry Skye but you need to come with me." Simmons stated helping her up even when Skye tried to bury herself back in the bed groaning all she wanted to do was sleep. She ended up following Simmons back up to Coulson's office where he was with May both on the seats across from Phil's normal seat, in his seat was a woman she did not know.

"Skye this is Maria Hill. Deputy Director of SHIELD." Coulson introduced. Skye looked over Maria she held a very dominating presence. Skye did not know how to respond to her so she gave her a small nod but would not meet her gaze.

"You're the Maria." Skye stated understanding who she was from Coulson's explanation after she noticed the look pass between them. She remembered that Coulson said that Maria was their alpha.

"We have agreed that it will be best if you come back to DC with me during your transition if that is alright with you?"

"Will I be returning to Coulson?" She asked knowing that it did not matter what she said just like when she was a kid she would have to go where she is told.

"After your transitioning is complete, it is just that for the next two weeks is going to be hard." Maria stated

"Makes sense." Skye replied carefully she noticed the look Maria was giving her as she once again looked at Coulson and May.

"Alright, Simmons has gone to get your bag." Maria replied again Skye found herself nodding

"Everything is going to be fine, we will see you again in two weeks." Coulson stated reassuring her. Skye ended up walking out the room where Jemma was waiting with her bag, Fitz was with her and they gave her small smiles before nodding behind her no doubt greeting Maria.

"It will be alright Skye." Jemma stated as she led her away towards the cargo bay.

"Where are you going?" Ward all but demanded and honestly Skye did not want to deal with him.

"With me agent award." Maria stated with a cold expression Skye could not help it but it made her nervous. Jemma squeezed her hand.

"Agent Hill?" He asked clearly surprised

"That is Commander Hill to you agent Ward." Maria replied not letting irritation seep into her tone.

"Why is Skye going with you, Commander Hill?" He asked

"Evaluation." Maria replied giving no other explanation. She somewhat walked Skye off the bus and into an suv. She put up a small device on the dash before turning to look at Skye. "Sorry about that Skye. SHIELD has eyes everywhere."

"Coulson told me about the act." Skye replied with a shrug remembering how he told her that there is the professional side of SHIELD where they are top level agents and the Pack side where they are open and friendly. That those not in the pack are not to find out about it. Skye knew how to keep secrets so was not worried. "Where are we going?" Skye asked

"To my quin jet. Then back to DC."

"The base in Washington? Is that not like the main base?"

"SHIELD has many bases not just over America but in other countries also." Maria replied "but yes the Triskelion is one of our main bases." Maria replied. The flight to Washington DC was in silence Maria piloted herself and Skye sat in the co pilot seat and enjoyed the view. It was strange walking around with Maria everyone moved out of her way. She took her so many different corridors and up three different elevators Skye was officially lost. She then realised she was led to Maria's office, Maria went in Skye was not sure what to do. She was then taken down a different elevator after Maria picked up a folder. This one went down. Past the basement levels until they were in an under ground tunnel. Maria led the way through five different doors that was not counting the other doors they passed. Maria informed her to stay clear of them. The last door led to an open hanger.

"Welcome to project Lupa." Maria replied opening one final door to reveal that they were in an underground apartment. Maria ended up giving her the tour.
