Project Lupa Assassins vs the Pack chronicles CHAPTER13
Sharon and Alex made it back to the bus only to find that the others were not back yet, Fitz and Simmons looked at them in the command room as Sharon took charge after getting Alex to sit and wait there as Sharon made contact with Maria. Coulson and Skye were heading back with May, Natasha would be the last to leave with Clint after the others had made it clear. Maria scanned the crowd trying to decipher how this trap would have happened and if she could reverse it to still get Marcel. Maria was surprised that Sharon had done that, they all knew this was a possibility with the bond but no one had ever actually done that choosing to have an equal partnership. Although she understood why she did it, she also knew that once Nick found out he would want to analyse it and document the findings of how it effects the bond. Alex kept her eyes on Sharon a smile on her face only a small part of her was nagging that something important was happening but the rest of her, the majority of her was in bliss, she wanted to get up and go over to Sharon… wanting Sharon closer, but Sharon had told her to wait there. So she waited. Skye turned up with Coulson and May one look at her had Skye sharing a look with Sharon.
"She's pretty high right now." Sharon remarked
"What did you do?" Skye asked her
"What I had to." Sharon replied, a small whine escaped Alex and she had a small pout. Sharon knew what she wanted so she let Coulson take over and moved over to Alex who fully grinned reaching out for her. Sharon pulled her in for a hug as Alex clung to her trying to get as close as she could to her mate. Skye looked like she wanted to take a step towards Alex but May stopped her pulling her away a protest on Skye's lips silenced when May gave her a look. May led her to the cockpit where she ended up getting it ready, she had started teaching Skye a crash course in flying and took this time to quiz her.
"We are running?" Skye asked when it became clear she was not thinking about the task of getting the plane ready to leave.
"Would you rather us fight?" May asked back
"I don't know, I just want him to be out of my life. I don't want to look over my shoulder scared he could turn up any second." Skye replied
"If we were to engage who do you think would win?"
"We would." Skye replied… "but at a cost, there would be casualties." She commented after all their opponents are highly trained assassins.
"Maria shared Alex's plan with you."
"It would have worked, she would have made it work." Skye replied but knew that if Alex went through with it she would not have survived it. "I can feel her again, its weird though the amount of happiness I am feeling off her right now." Skye stated with a frown this made May really look at her, was she jealous?
"What is it?" she asked
"We told her we are different, but this…this is like what he did. The feelings she is feeling right now are from the wolf bond. She was forced into this…because of me." Skye stated this had May tensing, she knew this is what Alex had said to them earlier and Skye had stood up for the pack but now.
"You knew what she was going to do. Sharon saved her." May stated, Maria was driving back with Bobbie and Lance, May had contacted her and was listening in she would need to speak with Skye after having a talk with Alex…maybe before that she knew that Alex would be in no state to talk to her just yet. But she will need to reclaim her in the pack.
Maria arrived back on the bus, the first thing she did was check on Sharon and Alex who were hanging in the cage, Alex looked up at her as she held onto Sharon moving in closer before she looked down.
"When this wears off call me." Maria stated, she had no idea what would happen if she claimed her right now and it was something she didn't want to find out. Sharon nodded and returned her attention back her mate. Maria then made her way to check on Coulson, they had cameras up but there was no sign of Marcel…then again they didn't know what he looked like. Natasha and Clint were making their way back so Bobbie and Trip would keep an eye on the cameras until they were safely back on the plane. Maria took this time to head to the cock pit where she knew May was keeping Skye.
Skye looked up and sighed when she saw Maria so she sent May a small glare before turning back to Maria. Maria ended up taking her up to Coulson's office as once Nat and Clint were back she wanted May to get them in the air. Skye fiddled with the sleeve of her jacket as she looked over at Maria who had yet to say anything.
"You understand why Sharon did what she did yes?" Maria asked
"I know." Skye replied Maria could feel a small amount of bitterness coming from Skye who found an interest in Coulson's collectables on the shelf.
"Talk to me Skye." Maria stated wanting Skye to open up without ordering her.
"There is nothing to say, what is done is done." Skye retorted "Are you going to punish her?" Skye asked
"She made a hole in the house, she left…" Maria responded carefully she watched as Skye seemed to go tense and it looked like she had a protest. "I will never hurt her." Maria tried to reassure her thinking back to Alex's memories and how they were punished.
"Are you going to claim dominance over her too?" Skye asked actually meeting and holding Maria's gaze.
"Skye? What's really going on?" Maria asked she could sense a strong need to protect Alex coming from Skye there was a power coursing through her nearly as strong as the pack link. Even her wolf was showing signs of this power. Coulson entered the room with Natasha and Clint.
"We are taking off we should strap in." Natasha stated sharing a look with Maria.
"You want to know what they did to us?" Skye asked looking only at Maria, this power had some intense rage behind it. That was when Skye showed her, opening the link all those memories she had blocked now open and broadcasting over the link. Several of the others in the pack went tense, Fitz and Simmons gasped Bobbie ran into the office but Maria was stuck staring at Skye whose expression was blank but her eyes held an edge. One she had seen before, in Natasha's eyes when they first brought her into SHEILD.
Pain! Anger! Hate! Red! Darkness! Blurred together as visions began to play across the link scientists in lab coats holding medical equipment and note pads. Doc ordering the doctors in the room to continue even when both girls were screaming and crying begging for it to stop. Pain so much pain, Flooded their systems. Coulson had to grip the back of the chair, May growled. Orders being drilled into them to submit. A large man standing over them with a cane. When the Oztark bond was formed Skye showed them how they used it by hurting each other until they both submitted, how they twisted the bond to His benefit to get them to comply and do assignments. How they made the Oztark bond was something Maria did not think was possible. There was so much pain as their identities were rewritten to complete each other.
"Enough! Skye Enough." Maria stated stopping her from showing any more, she looked over the younger girl in front of her how she had been through so much and up until they actually met Alex Skye had never shown this side of her, she never would have guessed she had been through anything as traumatic as that.
"They made us feel this way towards each other, this need to protect each other is still present yet neither of us despise it we want it, crave it. You want to see the similarities? I didn't understand…I was too wrapped up in this…I should have seen it. She was right."
"Skye?" Bobbie asked taking a step towards her as she turned to look at her Bobbie saw the pain and sorrow in her eyes. Coulson's door once again opened as Alex walked into the room surprising Maria as she marched over to Skye her eyes had a shine to them at first Maria thought it was her wolf but she could feel the same power coming from Skye. Sharon trailed behind her clearly confused as she looked around the room, Coulson on his part was thinking he needed a bigger office or better yet for them to leave his office and take this down to the lounge downstairs.
"takip edildik!" Alex informed her making Skye freeze, she was happy Alex had her senses back but what she had said made her blood run cold.
"No, we were careful." Skye replied at this Alex turned to Maria
"We need to get in the air…now."
"Why? What is going on?" Maria asked
"The plane is surrounded." Alex informed her making everyone in the room tense.
"Not possible this is a secure base." Coulson told her but she pulled a face at him
"Not for his people."
"How many?" Natasha asked at this Alex closed her eyes
"I can sense six."
"You can sense?" Coulson asked
"Don't question it please, if she is saying they are out there. What do we do?"
"We will fight."
"We can run?"
"Our window has closed."
"What?" Skye asked just as the plane shook.
"Sir one of the engines has been hit by something." Fitz informed them over the com
"Maria you might want to see this." May told her she was in the cockpit over looking the runway and there was a man standing there. She was angry that they had attacked her plane.
"Talk to us Skye? Alex what is going on?" Maria asked
"His people followed us, they are here."
"Can they get on board?" Natasha asked
"They will try to destroy the plane with us in it." Alex stated
"How do you know?" Coulson asked
"Because that is what I would do." Alex replied she shared a look with Skye.

"You have lost your edge."
"I will hold my own." Skye stated "We are stronger together."
"You're wanting to go out there?" Natasha asked
"They want us, we can get their attention." just as banging started on the plane as if someone was hitting it. Coulson moved them down to the command room where they met the others.
"So we can't just fly a way?" Trip asked
"Not an option now."
"They are on top of us." Hunter stated Simmons had pulled up the planes security cameras and senses.
"How long can we resist them?" He asked
"The planes integrity is strong it will take them time to break in." Clint stated
"Clint get up with May in the cockpit. Fitz see if you can do anything about the engine. Coulson update Nick." Maria stated. "The rest of you arm yourselves." Maria added she noted how Skye and Alex were staring at each other having a silent conversation with each other. She could also feel their power seemed to be growing. Alex's eyes were glowing brighter now as was Skye's.
"What are you doing?"
"Are you sure?" Alex asked Skye ignoring Natasha's question.
"I will protect my family." Skye replied at this Alex took one of the ipads on the counter and after a minute of typing some music suddenly blasted all through the bus.
"Let's go see how much they want to kill us." Alex stated but had a smile.
"Should she be smiling? Why is she smiling? What is with this music?"
"Any unwanted ears…" Skye informed them, "She's smiling well this…this is her element."
"Skye? What is your plan here?" Coulson asked thinking they wouldn't really go out and face six high class assassins.
"Don't give them targets you should stay inside." Skye replied turning to look at him and he froze seeing the look on her face was one he did not recognise, one he did not like.
"insieme?" Alex asked looking at Skye holding out her fist
"insieme." Skye repeated fist bumping her and those in the room felt it, something strong and powerful radiated through the two of them.
"Are they all like you?" Maria asked
"We are one of a kind, but they are just as strong even stronger possibly depending who it is." Skye replied
"We won't sacrifice you."
"Its not a sacrifice, it's the only logical option you have? You send assassins after assassins. Before you say anything about Clint and Natasha these are enhanced and deadly people. The world will still need the Avengers. This fight is not theirs to take nor is it yours trust us to get it done…"
"Skye?" Coulson stopped the plane shook again and their was a terrible groaning noise.
"We are no longer asking, if you go out there you will die and our secret will be out. This is the only logical option. Maria Please!" Skye stated ignoring the looks from Bobbie and Coulson who were both ready to refuse.
"We will monitor you from here, if I see you are in trouble we will come out." Maria stated
"Maria." Bobbie began to protest
"Then we won't get in trouble." Skye stated just as Alex placed her hand on Skye's shoulder the two of them disappeared surprising everyone in the room.
