A/N: I am so sorry this took so long. I have been having some issues and I haven't been wanting to write at all. My depression is pretty bad, and I am not sure why. I will be moving again in a couple months. My boyfriend and I are moving into a house with a friend of ours and I am excited about that. Can't wait! Anyways, I hope you all enjoy this chapter!
Disclaimer: I do not own Tokyo Mew Mew. Tokyo Mew Mew is owned by Ikumi Mia and Yoshida Reiko.
Chance Encounter
Chapter Six- Enter Aoyama Masaya
I rushed home, my face burning, and my clothes slightly damp. I couldn't believe I was in that position with Shirogane. And we were caught by his guardian, Akasaka-san. I didn't think I could face Shirogane again.
When I reached home, I unlocked the door, and judging by the lack of shoes in the entryway, my parents weren't home. I slipped off my shoes, and went into the main part of the house, heading toward the kitchen for a snack and drink before I started on my homework. I glanced over at the counter and saw a note from my mom.
Dear Ichigo,
Your dad and I are on a date tonight. 3 We will be out all night and will not be returning tonight. Teehee. There are some rice balls in the refrigerator and we will see you tomorrow. Make sure you get up in time for school.
Love,
Mom
I stared down at the note and sighed. So, I was on my own tonight. I opened the fridge, and I saw the rice balls mom had left me. I grabbed the plate, and headed upstairs to my room with my bag. I pushed my door open and dropped my bag by the desk before setting the plate down. I looked out the window to see the sun setting.
I walked over and stared at the sunset for a few moments, before I noticed a guy walking by my house. He was tall, had dark hair, and he was wearing a different uniform. He must've felt eyes on him, because he looked up at me and waved. I waved back, and watched him go into the house across the street from me. I had no idea we had a neighbor like that.
I went back to my desk, flipped on the radio and pulled out my math book. With all the water that was dumped on me, I was surprised none of the items in my bag got wet. My phone and wallet were in my bag, so I was grateful no water got it.
I started on my homework, and about half way through, I got a text. I looked down at it, and saw it was from Shirogane. He apologized for his behavior and asked if I would forgive him. I shot him a text back saying I did and I would see him at school the next day.
The next morning, I woke up earlier than normal, and got ready for school. I was going to stop by a store on the way to school and get something to eat. As I was leaving, I noticed the guy from the day before leaving as well.
"Good morning!" he said, noticing me.
"G-good morning," I said, stumbling over my words slightly.
"My name is Aoyama Masaya," he said, bowing slightly.
"I am Momomiya Ichigo," I said, bowing back.
"So, you are the daughter of the new people that moved in? My mom said that she saw someone around my age, but I leave early for school and I get home late. I commute quite a distance and I have kendo practice."
"I actually go to a school nearby. My family and I moved here from Nemuro, Hokkaido."
He was looking me up and down before he spoke again.
"Well, I got to get going. Don't want to be late. See you later, Momomiya-san," he said.
He waved and walked away. I stood rooted to the spot for a few moments before I started walking to the nearest convenience store. I grabbed a rice ball and ate it on the way to school. I didn't have a bentou box, since my mom usually made it for me. But, that was okay, I could get something in the school cafeteria.
I arrived an hour early and after checking my indoor shoes, I slipped them on and headed up to my class. The school was so peaceful, and the only people here were people that had morning clubs. I checked my desk and everything looked good. The morning passed by with no incident. Lunch came around, and just as I was leaving to go to the cafeteria, a girl called out to me.
"Hey, Momomiya, we need to talk to you."
I sighed as I turned around. This was really tiresome. But, today, there were different girls. I had never seen these girls before. There was a girl with long, purple black hair, a girl with blue black hair in buns, a girl with light green hair and glasses, a girl with blonde hair and a girl with long pale blonde hair.
"Lettuce said she saw you with another guy this morning," the bun girl said. "Are you two-timing Shirogane-senpai?"
It took me a couple moments to realize what was coming out of this girls mouth. Two-timing on Shirogane? That was laughable. Shirogane and I were not in a relationship to begin with, but these girls didn't need to know this.
"I am not two-timing, Shirogane-senpai. The guy I was talking to this morning is a next door neighbor, and we happened to be leaving at the same time. That was it."
They girls didn't look like they believed me, and pushed past me. I didn't feel remotely hungry anymore and there was one person I wanted to see.
"There you are, Momomiya-san. I wanted to know if you wanted to eat lunch together."
I turned, and the person I wanted to see found me first. Shirogane Ryou.
A/N: What did you think? Sorry if it sucks. This was hard to write. Anyways, as always, constructive criticism, but please no flames. See you in the next chapter!
