Third Person's POV
"I see. Sakura, you've come, too." Kakashi said making the three look at him confused.
"Now you can formally register for the Chunin Exam." He continued.
"What do you mean?" Sakura said confused
Akira just put her hands in her pockets. If Sakura didn't come Naruto and Sasuke wouldn't be able to get the chunin exam... or she may be put in their team since it always requires 3 genins in a team.
Akira looks at Sakura. But if Sakura didn't come earlier, she herself would personally bring Sakura here and convince her. She wants Sakura to take the Chunin Exam. She wanted all her teammates to take the Chunin Exam. Besides, she doubts that those geezers wouldn't do anything if they know that Sakura wouldn't join the chunin exam. Or in a more unlucky situation they will just drop the two; Naruto and Sasuke... or the whole Team 7. Tch... They have a lot of reasons on their hands.
Akira snaps out of her thought when she feels eyes looking at her.
"Eh? Why?" She asked confused. Did she miss something?
Sakura points at her. "Then... if I didn't go would Akira will be able to join Naruto and Sasuke-kun?" Sakura asks.
Akira looked at Sakura. She can see the hope in her eyes.
"Then-" Sakura said, but Akira stops her.
"Don't tell me your planning to back out now. Come on we're already here, you can't just let this chance slide because you're worried." Akira said nudging her a little.
Sakura looks down "But-"
"Sakura-chan, Akira's right. You come here on your own will. Trust Akira, she would take that Chunin Exam like a piece of cake-dattebayo!" Naruto said giving Sakura a thumbs up.
Sasuke cross his arms and nodded, a small smile on his lips.
Sakura looked at their Sensei, which gave her an eye smile. Assuring her that Akira will just be fine. Sakura smiles, her courage is coming back. Akira isn't weak, she can't let herself think that Akira would not be able to defend herself. Akira is strong, shannaro! "I'm ready!"
"Sakura! Naruto! Sasuke! And, Akira!" Kakashi said looking at them one by one.
"I'm glad you all came. You're a team I'm proud of." Kakashi said as he gave them an eye smile.
He looks at Akira "Akira, I just needed to tell you something"
"Now then you three, go on!" Kakashi said giving the three an eye smile again as he step aside.
Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke looks at Akira with a smile and nodded to her, Akira also gave them a smile.
"We'll wait for you, Akira-ttebayo" Naruto said excitedly as they open the door and walk inside.
Akira nodded still with a smile, even though she knows that they will not see it.
"Now, then Akira" Kakashi said as he crouch on her level. Kakashi looks at Akira's shoulders, wanting to see where is it
"Sensei?" Akira said tilting her head a little. What's wrong with her shoulder? Are they dislocated? Maybe, she trained too much?
Kakashi sighs and looks at Akira again. "Please don't be too reckless. If you think you won't be able to do it, then-" Kakashi said as he put his hand on her shoulder.
"Come on. Why are you worrying now, you just reassure Sakura earlier. What's with the change of mind" Akira said smiling a little. She knows her Sensei might be worried. But she doesn't want them to worry too much, if she knows that she can't do it by herself, she wouldn't come here in the first place.
Kakashi looks at her. His tense shoulders, relaxing.
He sighs "Right, do your best" He said eye smiling as he squeeze her shoulder slightly.
"Just be careful, Akira" He continued as he stands up and ruffled her hair.
"Hmhm" Akira hums as she nodded and gave her Sensei a reassuring smile.
"You may go now!" Kakashi said as he step aside, letting Akira walks inside.
Akira sighs and pushes the door open leaving her Sensei outside.
Once the door close, all eyes look at her. The atmosphere becomes tense. Wow, awesome... this is awesome.
"Akira-ttebayo!" Naruto said jumping at her.
"Oi!" Akira said shoving him away.
"Naruto, calm down you're going to attract attention" Sakura whispered, nudging him a little.
Akira looks around a smile appearing on her lips. They were all looking at them.
"Yo! min-na!" Akira said waving her hand at them lazily.
Sakura sweatdrop. Just what is she doing? She shivered when their glare become more intense.
"B-baka" Sakura whispered nudging Akira
Akira wanted to laugh. Why are they all getting worked up over nothing... They weren't intimidating at all, staring at them like that. Pshh...
Akira put her hand down and put it inside her pocket with a sigh. Just a few minutes...
Akira just look at them, innocently. They look at her trying to be intimidated, which she wanted to laugh at. They really getting angry, she wasn't even doing anything.
She smirks at them. But got shoved away when someone jumps, a glimpse of blonde her. Akira's brows twitch at that. Gosh here we go, it's been a long time.
"Sasuke-kun, you're late! I thought I'd be able to see you for the first time in a while, so I was waiting in excitement" Ino said as she hugs Sasuke.
Sakura looks at her a tick mark appearing on her forehead. "Get away from Sasuke-kun! Ino Pig!" Sakura said walking to them.
Akira sighs. Man, she thought Sakura didn't want to attract attention, but they surely gonna attract attention by what they were doing.
She looks at the people in the room, one by one, observing them. She just wanted to see who are these people. She continues to look at them not bothered by all of their stares. She just continues doing that as the other rookies talk with each other.
Akira looks at the person who stands beside her. A sigh can be heard.
"I heard you're taking the chunin exam, alone..." The person whispered.
"That is sure troublesome," Shikamaru said with a sigh.
"Well, I can't really do anything about it" Akira said, shrugging her shoulders. Really, how in the world did they know about it, at all costs, she didn't want all of them to know.
"Oi! Akira, I heard that-!" The person said but someone buts in.
"Kiba, you should not shout something like that, it's because-" The person said as he fixes his glasses.
"Ah, mo, you guys, can you not talk about it. Sorry Shino, for cutting you off." Akira said with a sigh as she takes a quick glance at Shino. Just what are these people doing...
"It's fine, I-" Shino said
"You sure can pull it off? I doubt it" Kiba said smirking at Akira.
"Shut up! You won't even be able to lay a finger at Akira-ttebayo!" Naruto said looking at him weirdly.
"Sorry, Akira, Naruto-kun. Kiba didn't mean it..." Hinata said a blush on her cheek appeared when she looks at Naruto.
Akira sighs. There's too much happening, the chunin exam is not even starting, yet.
"Hey, you guys! You should be a little quieter. You guys are the 'rookie ten' fresh out of the academy, right? carrying on like that with cute faces...Man. This isn't a field trip" The person with glasses said walking towards them.
Akira's brows knitted as she walks forward "I'm sorry but who are you?" Akira said raising her brow.
"Yeah! Acting all haughty!" Ino said looking at the guy.
"I'm Yakushi Kabuto. Anyway, take a good look around you." He said making all of them look around. He observes a rookie genin who is looking calm. Looking like she didn't want to be there, and was not even bothered by all the glare the other examiners giving her. She would just raise her eyebrow at them. He smirks. So this is who he is talking about...Akira.
They turn to look at him again as he drops his smirk. "You guys remind me of my old self"
"Is this your second time?" Sakura said
"No...It's my seventh time. This exam is only held twice a year, so it's now my fourth year" Kabuto said making them look at him. Others with amazement and others with confusion.
Akira got left at the back when they all walk forward gathering around Kabuto as he kneels and pulls out cards in his pocket.
She looks at him with curiosity. The seventh time, really? A Konoha genin... Is the chunin exam that hard, she never saw him in Konoha, despite her always wandering around. Well, maybe he's always on missions if he is still a genin for a very long time.
Akira walks toward the door with a sigh and peeks outside. She can feel the eyes looking at her back.
Kakashi was leaning on the wall, deep in thoughts. He is still worried. He actually wonders who is the proctor this year...
He jumps when the door opens just very slightly, an eye peeking outside. He perks up recognizing who is it.
"What are you doing?" Kakashi said as Akira looked at him
"Sensei tell me, is the chunin that hard? Is there anyone who takes the chunin exam six times already?" Akira whispered and try to act like she just looking outside.
Kakashi looks at her confused. "Well, yes and I don't know, I still didn't see the file of the genins besides I'm not going to tell you... Are you backing out now?" He asked teasing
"huh? no..." Akira whispered.
"Then why are you asking? You know that this is prohibited..." Kakashi said crossed arms. Yes. going outside once they enter the room is prohibited. But even if they were caught, the consequences weren't that bad, or they will just be asked to go inside again.
"Nothing..." Akira said as she walk inside again.
"Tch...but why is he still there..." She whispered walking towards the other genins that are still gathered around Kabuto.
Kakashi's shoulder drops. He somewhat feels relaxed when he talks to her, but now he feels nervous again.
Akira walks toward them and looks at what they're doing. Akira raises her eyebrow seeing a familiar face. Gaara of the desert...
"His mission experience, eight C-ranks. B-ranks...Wow, one B-rank as a genin eh...He's a shinobi from a different land and is a rookie, so there is no further detailed information." Kabuto said as he looks at them.
"But... it seems he has returned from all his missions uninjured." he said as he stand up and fixes his glasses.
Akira takes a quick glance at the mentioned Shinobi. Their eyes lock for a few seconds before she turns her gaze again to Kabuto. Uninjured...and on top of that a genin doing a B-rank mission uninjured. At their first met, she sense his immense chakra...Just what is he? He really has a nasty look on him... Akira can't help but to smirk, she feels excited.
Kabuto got their attention when he place another card and put chakra into it. "Leaf, Sand, Rain, Grass, Waterfall, Sound... There are a lot of exceptional Genins from those villages who have come to take the exam this year as well." He said. Then he turns to look at them.
"As far the Village Hidden in Sound goes, it's a village of a small nation that just sprang in recent years, so there isn't much information..." He said as he fix the cards.
"At any rate, they're all Hidden Villages with nothing but crackerjacks," Kabuto said as he stand up.
"Ah man, isn't this exciting!" Akira said with a sigh, a little louder than she intended to do.
They all look at her with confusion. There wasn't exciting at all, it just make them more nervous after knowing all those informations.
"This isn't going to be easy." Kabuto said walking beside Akira, he gave her a smile.
"Well, let's just see," Akira said as she looks at the other examiners. A smirk on her lips.
Kakashi looks at the door he can't seem to get relaxed. He feels like this chunin exam will be different from all the previous chunin exams. He feels like something will happen. Even when he is outside the room he can still feel the intense atmosphere inside the room.
He can hear subtle voices talking inside the room, but he can't make out what are they talking about. A certain voice got his attention as a smile appear on his lips.
"Ah man, isn't this exciting!" The familiar voice said. Akira, you... He can't help but let out a chuckle.
A small smile appear on his lips again as a more energetic voice echoed in the room. He can even imagine Sakura trying to shut him. He is really proud of his students.
Kakashi sighs and started to walk away from the room as he put his hand in his pockets. He should probably leave, he knows his team will be okay. He should probably go to meet the other jonin.
"My name's Uzumaki Naruto! I won't lose to any of you! Got it?!" Naruto shouts pointing at them. Sakura quickly jumps on him and covers his mouth.
"Hmph" Akira and Sasuke just smirk and look at all the shinobi in the room.
"Oh, I feel better, Akira-ttebayo" Naruto said looking at Akira once Sakura let him go. Sakura's brows twitch at that.
"Right, after provoking everyone" Akira said with a smile.
"It's true, I'm not going to lose to any of them. And you, don't you dare lose to them too-dattebayo!" Naruto said pointing at Akira
Akira raise her eyebrow but nodded when Naruto's eyes looks at her waiting for her to answer "Hai, hai" She said. Naruto quickly nodded a big smile on his face.
"Is she the one his talking about?" The guy whispered a creepy smile on his face.
"Tch... I doubt that kid can do anything. Why don't we test it out? Maybe I'll play with her a bit, eh..." The girl said with a smirk, looking at the purple eye kid.
"We'll add to his data. Those Sound Shinobis are brutal in their own way." The guy whispered a creepy smile spreading on his lips.
"I..." Kabuto started, making them look at him again
"I heard that, in the rookie genin, there is someone who's gonna-"
Akira raises her eyebrow knowing what is to come but tenses as three chakras are rapidly going in their direction.
A senbon rapidly goes in their direction. Akira quickly pushes the others out of the way making them all roll to the ground. A kunai flew in Kabuto's direction, he jump away from it as it pierce the floor.
Akira suddenly got violently pushed into the wall as soon as the senbon hit the wall. An arm was placed on her neck as the person pinned her against the wall making her unable to move. She didn't move feeling a sharp metal on her neck.
The rookie looked at the scene as they recovered from being pushed by Akira.
"Akira, why did-" Naruto said but stop when he looks up seeing the situation. Naruto's brows knitted as he formed a hand seal but a hand stop him.
"Sasuke?" Naruto said brows knitted.
"Let her, here we can see if Akira could handle the chunin exam." Sasuke said looking at Akira that is cornered, a smirk on his lips.
"But-" Naruto said but cut off
"We will get in trouble, besides, I thought you trust her. We will help if she needed it" Sasuke said making Naruto sigh and nodded
Sasuke looks at Akira with a smirk on his face. He is worried... but he wanted to know if Akira is really able to defend herself. Besides, this could be Akira's warm-up before the chunin exam.
"Hmph, is this what you can do?" The girl said as she pinned Akira against the wall.
Akira's eyebrows arch. "A sound shinobi, huh? Why are you causing trouble of all of a sudden" Akira said a smirk placing on her lips.
"I don't think you will be able to handle the chunin exam, with this kind of skill." The girl said confidently.
"Sorry, but I don't really have time for this" Akira said.
The girl becomes still feeling a kunai point on her back. She takes a glance at her back. When did she...? She didn't see her form any hand seals.
Sasuke smirks as Akira jump down the ceiling. Hmph, stealthy as always, and fast as always.
The girl smirked as she averts her eyes to the Akira in front of her. Shadow clone. Now, she understands she already form a shadow clone when she pushes her teammates...but she didn't see Akira form any handseal, interesting.
"Hmph, what's the point of the shadow clone if your real body is here" She said looking at Akira in front of her.
Akira smirk. "What makes you think that, that was the original...?" The Akira at her back said making the girl confused.
Akira catches a glimpse of the other fight. Sorry... but...
"What?" The girl said as the Akira in front of her popped. She didn't have time to react when she got kicked on her back as she violently makes contact with the wall making her drop on the ground, painfully.
Akira sighs. She didn't intend to kick her that hard but... looking at the other fight... She didn't want her and the Konoha genins to look so weak.
"Ohh..." Kiba said seeing a crack on the wall. That must have hurt so bad.
A puke can be heard making them look at the person.
"Kabuto-san. Are you okay?!" Sakura said running to his side.
"Yeah...I'm okay" Kabuto said as he sat up, Sakura is supporting him. He takes a glance at the other fight and smirks as he wipes his mouth. It's too bad he didn't see it.
Akira steps away a little from the girl. Not really wanting another fight.
The girl stood up slowly, as she wipes the blood on her nose. Damn it.
Akira just looks at her, wondering if she will attack again.
The girl was about to attack again when a poof can be heard in front of the room. They all look at the newcomers.
"Silence! Degenerates!" The person said.
The smoke clears, revealing a person with scars on his face, and other Konoha shinobi.
The person smirks looking at all the examiners "Sorry to keep you waiting... I'm Morino Ibiki, proctor for the first test of the Chunin Exam"
