It was a stormy night aboard the S.S Venture, and the crew was on the way home from a terrific voyage with Jack Driscoll tagging along. Jimmy, the cabin boy, slept in a cage down below and usually had no problems sleeping. Well, at least not before Mr.Hayes died...he truly did miss the man. And would wake up screaming his name, only to still be safe and sound aboard the ship. One night...Jimmy's sleeping problem went a little too far. He thought he was in a jungle, wandering around helplessly...trying to find any sign of human life. He went deeper and deeper into the jungle, he thought he could Driscoll calling from behind him but he still pressed on. And through a denise fog appeared Mr.Hayes, beckoning Jimmy to follow him...he smiled & rushed after him. "Jimmy stop! Stop!" Jack called from behind Jimmy. He thought it was bizarre that Jack would want him to stop, after all...He knew how much Hayes meant to him. Jimmy came to the edge of a cliff, he saw Hayes standing at the bottom waiting for him beckoning with his hand. Jimmy looked down and saw a huge piles of leaves, he knew if he got his footing right that he could make the landing. All of the sudden a roar errupted and Jimmy snapped back to the real world, he was no longer in a jungle but standing on the edge of The Venture. He looked down below and saw water, the skies were dark & stormy...Was Jimmy dreaming? The young lad was still half-asleep and could not real from fake...he looked around dazingly and was suddenly grabbed from behind and jerked back down. He was slapped across the face and was found in the arms of Jack Driscoll, who looked at him like he had just witnessed a murder. "Mr.Driscoll? What happened?" Jimmy asked. "It's all right, Jim...It was a bad dream" Jack brought Jimmy closer to his chest and hugged him, he looked around then looked at the small boy. "Just a bad dream."
