Guy Diamond was flying to another of his annual autumn photoshoots but he stopped for a breakfast in Sweet Pop, when he was greeted by Poppy and Violet. Rose arrived in the cafe, just in time to have breakfast too. The two ordered some food and started eating together.
"Hey, Poppy." Guy waved.
"Hi Guy." Poppy called back. "Going to your daily photoshoot?"
"Yeah, but why is Violet with you?" Guy asked her.
"Violet is doing her part-time job with me for college credit." Poppy answered. "Any news from your animation studio?"
"Mr. Elfmore told me that I'll be getting an intern to help me with my work." Rose added. "Haven't you heard that today is about choosing an intern?"
"What?! An intern?" Guy gasped. "I didn't know about that."
"Have you checked your files of the interns' acceptance letters?" Rose asked.
"Yeah, but I couldn't choose any of them to be my intern." Guy answered.
"Okay, who brought letters to you?" Poppy asked.
"I went through the intern letters from Millie, Kore, George, Fangeline, Hooferman, Goren, Linda, but none of them are worthy enough." Guy answered.
"But you haven't read that intern acceptance letter in a pink envelope with flowers in it" Poppy asked.
"I didn't look, I'll just skip it." Guy said as he took out the envelope. It said "Meadow Spriggs" "Oh, I guessed I skipped it."
"Can you read what it says in the letter?" Poppy squealed.
"Okay." Guy sighed as he opened it. It read:
"Dear Guy Diamond,
I am a florist and an employee in Meadow Spring Flower shop. I am interested in getting a job in your studios.
I am creative and passionate about any kind of work you can offer me. I can offer assistance and do your job too. My most noticeable skill is being able to socialize with people and being attentive to detail like how I do it in my shop. I have somehow proven that my shyness is not a hindrance to learning and improving our skills as well as working with other people.
I hope you will give me the opportunity to work with you."
"Wow, this letter is so inspiring, she's a perfect intern" Guy gasped.
"Well, go ahead and call her with your phone." Rose said.
"I'll just look at the submissions she sent me." Guy nodded. "I need to be in the photoshoot today."
When Guy Diamond arrived at the photoshoot on time, an Indian girl walked right up to him. She has dark brown skin with purple short hair, which has green leaves and flowers, blue eyes, a blue bindi on her forehead, and magenta lipstick. She wears a white and bluish-green dress, round lavender glasses, yellow flats and a grey shoulder bag. She also has white flower-shaped earrings, and a yellow and bluish-green pair of butterfly wings.
"Hello, are you Dananjay Maheswaran? The modeling agency placed me to be your intern." She said, walking right up to him. "My name is Nari Saccandrika and my nickname is Meadow Spriggs."
"Oh, hello." Guy said. "You're new here?"
"I work part-time in the flower shop with Karma, growing plants when I am doing it alone but my real passion is organizing for models but I am unsure of doing it because I am too shy to talk to people." Meadow said in a meek tone.
"Why? Are you scared of socializing?" Guy asked.
"I'm too scared to talk to other mythical beings, I become uncomfortable about it." She added.
"Taking care of models is like taking care of plants." Guy assured her. "There might be a lot of tasks for you to do like answering and managing phone calls, managing the new model submission email account, helping to manage my modeling schedules, input my stats and images into the agency website and booking software, and greet guests as they come into the agency but you will learn a lot with me by your side."
"Wow, I've never made that connection before." Meadow gasped. "I've never been comfortable with social situations but I'll do my best as your intern."
"Fantastic, you could start with the basic tasks first."
Things went well with Guy having Meadow as his intern. He taught Meadow all the things she has to learn about modeling and organizing booking schedules with him all day, but she also did tasks, ranged from small tasks like picking up everyone's lunch orders or sitting at reception and screening phone calls, to some slightly more glamorous things, like taking a black Town Car to drop off a birthday gift for a fashion company. Still, she couldn't socialize with other people, especially when talking to people who want to have Guy Diamond model for their brands. After a hard day's work, Guy told everybody how his day went.
"Wow, you sure have a good relationship with your intern like I did." Poppy said.
"Vaya, seguro que tienes una buena relación con tu becario, la mía es complicada." Rose added.
"Huh? Are you speaking Spanish, Rose?" DJ Suki asked her.
"Sí, estoy aprendiendo español de Bernardo." Rose said. "My intern turned out to be a vampire but his dad is an aswang and his mom is a tlahuelpuchi. He speaks Spanish fluently."
"Yeah, she told me her problem about understanding her intern at work at lunch." Branch smirked. "I am teaching her some Spanish but I let my Abuelo teach her."
"I know how you feel, my intern and I have a hard time understanding too." Biggie said. "But he doesn't feel comfortable about handling animals, which is ironic because he wants to be a vet like me."
"Two of us are having a good relationship with our interns while Rose and Biggie are having a hard time understanding theirs." Poppy said. "I got an idea."
"¡Oh no, no digas una fiesta!" Rose nodded in disagreement.
"Not a party, but we can meet with our interns in the cafe tomorrow for lunch." She said.
"That's a relief." Guy sighed.
The next day, Poppy, Guy Diamond, Biggie, and Rose met up with their respective interns in Sweet Pop for lunch. Rose arrived with a vampire in a red hoodie, jeans, and sneakers, Poppy with Violet, Guy Diamond with Meadow Spriggs, and Biggie was joined with a male wolf wild in a yellow t-shirt, jeans, and rubber shoes.
"Chicos y chicas, me gustaría que conocieran a Gonzalo Yaotzin." Rose introduced her intern to them. "I am still learning spanish."
"Hola." He said.
"Everybody, I'd like you all to meet Meadow Spriggs." Guy added as he introduced her.
"I brought in my intern, Clawd Pawdell." Biggie said as he introduced his own intern.
"You already know Berry Violet." Poppy said. "Let's go and have lunch together."
At lunchtime, the four friends and their interns talk about their day as they ate their food. Meadow Spriggs is socializing with her newfound friends, who are also interns. It is very slow but she is making progress.
"So, what school do you guys go to?" Poppy asked them.
"We study at Oak University." Clawd answered.
"Sí, a mí también." Gonzalo added.
"Me too, how about you Meadow?" Berry asked Meadow Spriggs.
"I go to Castle City College but I work at the Meadow Spring Flower shop to pay my bills." Meadow answered.
"Wow, you're making progress, Meadow." Guy smiled.
"It's taking a long time but your teachings are helping me improve." Meadow said.
"Yeah, you're doing well too!" Gonzalo added.
"Whoa! You speak English fluently?!" Rose was shocked. "I thought you only spoke Spanish?"
"Oo, my papa taught me English and also Filipino but I noticed you don't understand Spanish so I use it so that you can learn it too." Gonzalo smirked.
"I don't get it." Rose was confused by her intern's revelation.
"You have a friend who is Mexican." Gonzalo said.
"Yeah, Branch, only he's quarter because his grandma, Rosiepuff is the one who is half while his Abuelo is pure Mexican." Rose said.
"You learn Spanish so quickly thanks to Bernardo's Abuelo, he is always the one I go to when learning Spanish to connect with my mama's relatives from Mexico." He said.
"Wow, looks like Rose is now connecting with her intern now." Poppy smiled.
"But what about Biggie?" Guy asked.
"Clawd has a reason why he doesn't feel comfortable about handling animals." Biggie said. "Tell everybody, Clawd."
"Okay, I still feel sick when I touch something gross from a beast's insides." Clawd cried.
"It's alright, Clawd." Meadow assured him. "With Biggie teaching you how to handle it, you will overcome it step by step, like how my internship with Guy helped me overcome my shyness."
"You're not alone in this, amigo." Gonzalo added. "There are other interns who also have problems like this."
"Awww, thank you guys!" Clawd cried as the other interns hugged him.
Poppy, Rose, Guy, and Biggie are so happy for them. They also learn a lot from their interns and their interns learn from them. Like plants, they also need time to grow too but it will take long, depending on the right time when they overcome it but right now, it is a new beginning.
