While everybody was asleep, a strange plant grew in the middle of a farm in Castle Hills. It infected some spores into the produce of all the farms that were ready to harvest. All the vegetables were harvested to be shipped to Castle City so that everybody would have a happy and healthy meal for dinner. Everybody, except for the kids.
"Kids, eat your vegetables!" A single mom said.
"I don't eat broccoli!" Her daughter refused.
"I don't eat blok-ro-li!" Her baby boy followed his older sister.
"Here comes the airplane, Rocky!" The father tried to coerce his baby son to eat the broccoli but the child is stoically looking at the food.
"Yuck, I'm not eating that garbage!" An orc teenager protested. "This stuff is only eaten by sissies and rabbits!"
Outside, Rose and the Snack Pack are munching on hotdogs while flying back to Pop Village Apartments. Guy Diamond was just eating potato chips and he shared it with Biggie and DJ Suki.
"Poppy, all this eating makes me wanna have a healthy snack." Branch complained as he took out some hot sauce from Mexico and applied it to the hotdog.
"Branch, you always remind us to eat fruits and vegetables, why not relax and eat whatever you want." Poppy said.
"He's right, we've been flying back to the apartments for dinner and you told us that we should order hotdogs instead." Rose agreed with Branch. "And I feel like I'm getting high blood pressure."
"Too bad the broccoli tastes so nasty." Satin gagged.
"You haven't even tasted it yet." Chenille reminded her.
"Guys, the only way to get rid of broccoli is to eat it all up, like what my mom said when I was a child." Rose reminded them.
"At least we will be in bed when we get back, there's nothing wrong gonna happen." Poppy disagreed.
Suddenly, they heard screams everywhere in the city.
"CJ!" DJ Suki panicked as she heard a familiar cry.
The Snack Pack flew in different homes. Poppy went into Priscilla's apartment, where she saw her and her baby brother crying in the corner. Their parents turned green and their eyes glow eerily.
"Priscilla, what happened?" Poppy asked her.
"My parents tried to make us eat vegetables but….." Priscilla narrated.
"I refused so she ate it and….." Keith continued.
"Her eyes started glowing and she blacked out." CJ Suki and Toby sobbed.
"Oh no, I hope the others were okay." Rose panicked.
Suddenly, Harper, Aspen Heitz, Archer Pastry with Peter and his mother, Meadow Spriggs, Karma, Moxie Dewdrop, Mandy Sparkledust, Sky Toronto, and the other citizens who didn't eat the vegetables had arrived with all of the members of the Magic Task Force. Branch's cousins were sobbing with them, with his aunt Victoria and some of the relatives comforting them and the children and teenagers.
"Whoa, how did you all evade the zapnotism?" Branch asked them.
"We didn't buy any produce today since we have a stock of them." Victoria said. "We heard what is going on, all the children's parents and the adults became like vegetables."
"Don't worry, we'll investigate what is going on." Rose said as she joined Branch, Poppy, and Violet, who is riding her broom to investigate the farms in Castle Hills.
They flew over to one farm, where a weird plant was seen glowing nearby.
"Branch, come and take a look at this!" Poppy called out as she investigated the plant nearby. Using a spell, she discovered some weird, mind-controlling spores inside.
"I know what this is, it's a scout plant used by evil monsters called Glowrins or Glow Gremlins, evil monsters that are reanimated fruits and vegetables." Rose read on her cellphone. "The scout plant releases the mind-controlling spore that clings into anything it touches once it was planted in one place. Some become Glowrins while others become hosts to the spores that cause mind control when ingested."
"I can see it because all the plants were infected." Branch said.
Suddenly, an army of Glowrins is approaching. The four of them hid by disguising themselves as scarecrows.
"Men, branch out from the area and scout for our first wave to invade." Their leader, a big broccoli with a scepter ordered his minions.
"NOW!" Branch yelled as the four of them popped out of their hiding paces.
"Earth creatures!" The broccoli leader shouted, pointing to scepter. "Why aren't you hypnotized?!"
"Because we didn't eat none of your diabiological spores, taco face!" Branch spat.
"Well, then, eat this!" The broccoli leader said, as his minions started firing at them.
Poppy tried to fight them but when she sliced and diced them, their missing parts regrow. Branch tried hard to fight them but one of the bottles of hot sauce flew off his vest and into the carrot gremlin's face, searing it. Branch pounced at the monster and ate him all up, with its pieces caught in tortilla. He ended it in a burp after defeating the monster by eating it all up.
"Now that's what I call dinner." Branch smirked.
"BARBARIANS!" The Glowboid leader panicked.
"Grill ya later, fools!" Rose said as she grilled a corn monster with her fire magic and it popped into popcorn that she started eating them all up with salt.
"I got an idea." Poppy said as she and Violet took out some icing pipping bags from her purse, and they squirted all the Glowrins with it. They later ate all of them in a flash.
"Oh…I'm getting full." Violet gasped.
"I think I've got room for one more." Poppy moaned.
"There's no time, we need more than just us to eat this buffet!" Branch said as they all flew back to the city. They returned to the children and the unaffected adults to tell them what happened. Everybody, even the king's children and their unaffected relatives and bodyguards are with the crowd.
"You found the Glowboids's scout plant in the farm?" Gristle asked them.
"Yeah, and they are all heading this way." Rose answered.
"What is the plan?" Cloud Guy's sister was curious.
"It's simple, let's just eat them all up." Branch responded.
"Wait a minute, this is just some kinda trick to get us to eat vegetables!" The orc teenager yelled.
"Oh really? You should go to your mama and ask her to make you a bologna sandwich?!" Branch scolded him. "Oh, wait! You know what? She can't! 'Cause, she's been zapnotized by Glowboids! But you don't want to help save her 'cause you don't feel like eating a few vegetables!"
"How can I save her?" He cried, asking Branch for help.
"My mom would tell me, "The only way to get rid of your broccoli is to eat it all up." Rose said. "So, what do you say? Do it for your mom?"
The male orc teen thought about his mom for a while and raised his head to his fellow football teammates.
"Let's do it for the folks!" He screamed.
"YEAH!" Everybody shouted with him.
As the Glowrins are preparing for invasion, the children and the rest of the unaffected population are getting ready to fight them back. The children put cooking pots on their heads like helmets, Guy Diamond placed seasoning shakers, salt, and pepper shakers, and condiment shakers on a bandolier slung across his chest, Biggie placed squeeze bottles of mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard in gun holsters, Branch took out some knives and cooking utensils and placed them on his belt like a sword, alongside bottles of hot sauce, Rose armed herself with spoons, knives and forks alongside bottles of melted or spray cheese, and Poppy had sprinkle shakers, and pipping bags with icing or frosting all loaded up. After everybody was all armed for a delicious battle, Branch, the Snack Pack and the Magic Task Force had a set of battle plans read. They explained them to their groups and learn when to eat the Glowrins. When he finishes, everybody saluted and went to their places to wait for their enemies. The assault force approaches the city, but stops at the ruler's command.
"Halt!" The Broccoli leader sopped before turning to the Colonel. "Colonel, let's trim back that overgrown city."
The colonel was ready to ring out the orders but before anyone can obey the command, though, the vehicle was later grilled with fire magic. It was Rose, Smidge, DJ Suki, and several other fire sprites and elves.
"Those weeds have pulped my tanks! No matter."The leader growled before turning to the other Glowrins. "Infantry! After them! Storm the city!"
The army of Glowrins, all fruits and vegetables stormed into the city streets, unaware of the people, ready with pots, full of melted cheese.
"Release the Cheese!" Rose shouted as all the teens and all the children poured cheese onto the entire infantry of Glowrins.
"CHARGE!" Biggie commanded to everybody as they all started to pounce on all on top of the incapacitated invaders. Everybody digs in with great enthusiasm, pulling out pieces with their knives, forks, and scooping them with spoons. One apple Glowrin was chomped by a kid who pops out from a garbage can and squirted icing with a caulking gun, a strawberry Glowrin was ripped into half by Satin and Chenille, who both ate the halves. A troop transport made from a pumpkin and tomatoes rolls onto the scene, and a hatch in front open to allow its occupants to join the battle. They are met by the football team, with Branch standing behind them like a quarterback.
"Eighty-two! Thirty-six! Bite!" Branch commanded.
They tackle the invaders and chomp away with Branch squirting hot sauce at them before eating them. A soldier advancing down the block, the gun was drawn and stopping to look back and forth. No threats insight. Crunching is heard, and the soldier looks down—the camera following—to find the toddlers eating it from the legs up. Another enemy has Gristle at gunpoint, but Gristle threw salt at its face and he eats it all up.
DJ Suki saw Toby being tackled by a group of carrot Glowrins and she noticed a cage of rabbits so she kicked the cage open, releasing the rabbits, which hop over and quickly nibble the threat into submission.
"That's it!" Rose said as she took out a ram's horn and blows on it. Suddenly, her pet unisus, Majesty arrived. He is leading all the herbivores, from jackalopes, pegasi, unicorns, perytons, mythical horses, horned creatures, sheep, deer, goats, and many more to real ones. Rose flew up to Majesty and mounted on his back. All the equestrians with her mythical mounts and horses arrived in front of them.
"CHARGE!" She shouted as the animals stampeded through the city.
"RETREAT!" The Broccoli Glowrin cried.
The Glowrins try to retreat but it was too late. The animals eat them and leave pieces of the heads flying, with the riders and equestrians finish them off. Severed arms and legs flying everywhere during the feeding frenzy. Everybody continued to finish them off until the leader of the Glowrins was left behind, riding a carrot-like horse. The ruler makes a break for it but finds Branch and several other kids are blocking his path with bottles of hot sauce. They cheer and yell at him, and he directs his mount in a new direction. This time, he runs into Poppy and still more fired-up defenders. He is knocked to the ground when one of the goats munches the animal, and he raises his scepter to protect himself.
"No! No! Leaf me alone! I don't dessert this!" He cried.
Branch, Poppy, Rose, and Violet cornered him, and one by one, they open wide for a huge final bite of mutant broccoli. The scepter falls to Rose's feet and she stomps on it, ending the invasion. At the same time, a surge of light magic purified the whole place and released everybody from their mind-controlled trance.
The affected adults were wondering what is going on as they went outside to see the whole street is full of cheering, celebrating kids, teenagers, and unaffected adults alike. They were carrying the Snack Pack through the streets as heroes.
The next day, the king awarded all of the heroes for saving the city from a nighttime invasion. Everybody applauded for them, while the parents were so proud of their children for their achievement. They all learned that the only way to get rid of their veggies is to eat it all up and they get all the health benefits that come with it.
