~~Recap~~"I'm sorry Adrien." She uttered a whisper."Wait- what did you call me?" Chat shook his head at the sound of his name being called. She finally let go of the railings, and ran back inside the house.~~Recap Over~~Curious and in a state of shock, Chat followed her inside. To his suprise, she wasn't in her room. His cat ears flickered as he heard fast footsteps fading in the background. He opened the trap door revealing a young girl running down the stairs. The cat simply followed as he tried to process what she just said to him.

"Marinette! Wait- i wanna talk to you." But that didn't make her slow down in the slightest. Chat sighed in defeat as he began to pick up pace.

The young girl finally made it through the staircase and was heading for the exit door at the end of the corridor. However, she shrieked as Chat jumped in front of her and took hold of her arms.

"Please, listen to me!" His begging seemed to have no effect on the girl as she continued to struggle to break free of his strong grip. However, the more she struggled, the tighter his grip got.

"Let me go!" Screaming, she began to pull herself away from his grip only to be forcefully pulled towards him for a hug. Her breathe shaky and nervous. Her heart pounding at an inhuman rate as little sobbing sounds escaped her mouth. Adrien, however, was surprisingly calm. Embracing her tightly, he let her head rest on his shoulder. The only sound present at the moment were the shaky little uncontrollable breaths Marinette made.

"It's okay. It's okay." He comforted her.

It's okay...

Somehow, that was nostalgic. She knows she's heard that before. But where? As she tried to calm down, her eyes shut close. Her breathing relaxed a bit at the clam soothing motion of Adrien's hand stroking her midnight blue hair. When all of a sudden, her eyes flew open as she recalled something.

His voice echoed in her head like a broken record. As she stared into the misty windows, she could see their reflection. The dim lighting from outside the bakery assisted in making their reflection visible in this dead silent night. Though she wished it hadn't.

Instead of seeing the obvious reflection of herself being hugged by her crush in his leather black disguise, she saw something... disturbing. The tears of the boy she loved as his back was covered in the pool of his own blood. A knife sticking from his back as he held her closer. Still whispering that everything's alright. But it didn't seem like he was talking to her. More like as if he was telling himself that. Because she didn't seem hurt. She's actually... Calm? No, not calm but happy. Is that a smirk? Wait. That's not her- that's Vexer. Oh, don't tell me... She's the one who stabbed him, isn't she?

So does that mean that this reflection of them is actually a reflection of the future? Is Marinette to blame for everything that's about to come? Is she truly... evil? Is she willing to go as far as killing the people she cares about just because she couldn't fight off a damn butterfly!

Honestly, her life could have been way better if she never became Ladybug in the first place. She'd never have all these responsibilities, she'd never have to live two lives, she'd never have to keep secrets, she could have focused on her studies and her dream of becoming the best fashion designer in the world. But most importantly, she'd never have to hurt those around her. All of this was Ladybug's fault.

Ladybug...

Ladybug is the one to blame. She stole the chance for Marinette to live a normal life. If it wasn't for her, Marinette could have been happy right now. She could have been relieved from the mental and emotional stress she is cursed with. Ladybug stole her life from her. It's only fair that Marinette steals Ladybug's. Justice needs to be served.

At this point, the young baker couldn't care less. She pushed Chat to the side, trying to hide her sorrow in a cloak of anger. He had to admit, the sudden action caught him off guard. How should he know what she's thinking? He never got the chance to ask the young girl about her intentions as she quickly passed by him and headed to a nearby door. He simply followed. Putting his questions at the side for the time being. Which is something rare for him. He's a pretty stubborn soul. So stubborn in fact that he didn't even take the hint that she doesn't want him around when she slammed the door at his face.

He simply frowned and tried to open it. Only to find out that she already locked it. But that wasn't gonna stop him. A simple Cataclysm is a great way to open locked doors. As the door disintegrated to dust, his eyes widened in shock as his pupils shrunk.

"Marinette? What are you doing?" He asked as he tried to relax his eyes a bit. But had no luck with it.

The young girl was in tears. Her lose hair strands were stuck to her face from all the sweat and tears. Though her eyebrows seemed enraged, her eyes only showed... fear. Her breathing was as nervous as ever. One of her hands held onto a knife.

"Stay away from me Adrien. I'm going to end this." She warned as she brought it in front of her. The sharp knife was now pointing at her throat as she tried to take steady her breathing.

No way was he just gonna stand there like a statue.

"What is wrong with you!?" His caring voice hid his enraged feelings towards it her.

He took a few steps closer. Knowing he would stop her, she quickly brought the knife to face him. She was standing in a defensive stance right now much to his confusion.

He held out his arms in the air to signal he's not looking to hurt her.

"Could you please put the knife down?"

Tears threatened to fall once again.

"If I do, you'll try to stop me."

"Of course I would. That's what friends do. We stop each other from making mistakes."

"Then this will be the last mistake I'll ever make. Please. Just let me..."

"No!" He yelled as he got closer to her. His hands were still up in the air.

"I have to. It's the only way to make sure I won't hurt anyone ever again!"

"And what about everyone you're hurting now? How do you think I feel watching you do this right now?"

"I-" she stopped. Trying to think of a comeback.

"Or Alya... Or Nino... Or your parents." He continued while taking steady steps towards her. "I know you don't want to do this."

"Of course I don't. I- I don't want to die. But I can't keep living like this either!"

"Why don't you tell me what happened?"

"You wouldn't believe me even if I told you."

He was standing right in front of her now. The knife she once held to threaten him was now kept at the side. Her grip still strong on it. Her head was tilted downwards. As if she couldn't look at the boy. He placed his gently hand right below her chin and forced it to look up. For a brief moment, their eyes met. The silence present was not a bother. It was just them and nothing else.

"I will always believe you, Marinette."

Those words were enough to make her cry again. She let out a shaky breathe that she kept to herself a while ago. Somehow, those words were calming to her. Perhaps the most calming words she had ever felt. Her eyes widened in shock as she heard the loud cling.

Unknowingly, she had let the knife go. And as it hit the ground, she felt her senses coming back to her. Was she really ready to take her life away just a moment ago? The pressure built up around her as she felt her legs losing their strength. As she fell to the floor to cry, a familiar friend followed, still comforting her. With tears building up once again, she reached out towards him and brought him into the warmest hug she could ever give.

"Adrien... I'm sorry."

"It's alright now. You're safe. You know you can tell me everything."
