Homecoming!
36 year old Aria Fitz is in her car.
The sun is about to go down.
Aria in on the way to Nicole Kennedy College, her old alma mater.
She's been invited back for homecoming.
Not only that, she's also been given the honor to perform at the main party.
In the backseat of the car is a guitar hardshellcase and if you know a lot about guitar cases you can tell what brand it is.
Rickenbacker.
Last year, for her birthday, Aria recieved a custom-made Rickenbacker 381 in jetglo from Ezra and Belle.
Even though she own other guitars, it quickly became Aria's new favorite one.
The guitar is built to vintage-specs with full checkerboard binding and the carved body and all.
Unlike most 381s it has 3 pickups instead of 2 and it also has a Bigsby vibrola.
Aria use the guitar a lot.
"I can't believe how long it's been since I was a college-girl." says Aria.
On this day, Aria wear a red t-shirt, black tight leather pants and violet shoes.
She is happy.
Aria's best college-friend Emma Summer is already at the college, waiting for Aria.
"My old room..." says Emma as she enter what used to be her dorm room during her college years.
The room look very different now.
She think back a bit to when she used to live in this room, a room that she did like a lot.
"Guess I'll wait here." says Emma, taking a seat on the couch just outside the room.
To sit there feels very familiar.
Back in the day she'd sit here many times when she would lose the key to her room, which she unfortunately did often.
She'd sit here and read and such, while she waited for someone to help her unlock the door.
Emma is happy.
The couch is the same cozy read one as when she was a student here.
"Nice." says Emma, happy that some things haven't changed.
She feel comfortable to be on the very same red couch that she's been on many many times before.
It's almost like going back in time.
2 hours later.
"Emma, wake up." says a sweet female voice.
Emma open her eyes and sees Aria.
"I must've fallen asleep while I was waiting." says Emma.
Once she's fully awake, Emma notice that Aria has become much taller since college.
After college, Aria finally grew tall enough to be equal in height with Spencer Hastings.
"Still able to nap at any place, any time, it seems." says Aria, who remember that Emma would nap in the most unlikely locations when they were in college together.
"Guess so...nice seeing you again." says Emma.
"Thanks, Emma. Nice seein' ya as well, my friend." says Aria as she takes a seat next to Emma, on the left.
"Did you ever become a famous musician?" says Emma.
"No, I assume you'd know if I ever would. That wasn't the path I decided to walk. Instead I took over my dad's old job at Hollis. On he side I also write books based on all the weird things Spencer, Hanna, Emily, ALison and I went through." says Aria.
"Okay. I never became a popular comdian, unfortunately. Ended up as a saleswoman in a clothing-store, but I still write jokes in hope that it's not too late for me to reach my dream." says Emma.
"Ya can always do so. It ain't never too late for that. As for myself, sure I never became a sensation in the music-industry, but I've discovered that being a professor and author can be just as rewarding and many times even more. Life is good. The universe smile upon me and I know how lucky I am to have a great job, sweet friends, a wonderful husband and a cute daughter." says Aria.
"Thanks. You're so wise." says Emma.
"Well, I try my best to be a good friend to the people I care about." says Aria.
"Good. You're way smarter than me. I'm still a goof...sort of." says Emma.
"Be proud of yourself. To love being funny is nothing to be ashamed of, my friend." says Aria.
"Alright, Aria." says Emma.
"Yup. Feel free to do what ya're good at and love doin' a lot. Allow yourself to be happy." says Aria.
"I assume you do that." says Emma.
"Every single day, as much as possible. I'm makin' sure to keep myself smilin' and relaxed. People shouldn't change who they are just to please someone else." says Aria.
"Okay." says Emma.
"Sure, ya must be open and not inflate your ego beyond limits, but your own happiness cannot be set aside. In order to truly be good for others, ya must also treat yourself well." says Aria.
"Nice." says Emma.
"Indeed." says Aria.
Aria gives Emma a hug.
"Awww." says both women, being happy.
"I see. Two dorky lesbians, all sweet with each other. How adorable isn't that?" says a sarcastic rude egocentric female voice.
Emma and Aria look up and sees Melody Caruzo, who was the top bad girl on campus back in the days.
Clearly she's still not nice.
"We're friends, not a couple." says Aria, who was never afraid of Melody.
"Really? You ladies seem kind of close for being no more than friends." says Melody.
"Leave us, please." says Aria.
"Fine. Whatever..." mumbles Melody as she walk away.
"Wow...there's one person I'd like to forget and never meet again." says Emma.
"I agree." says Aria.
20 minutes later, Aria get to see what her former room here at the college looks like now.
The room looks very different.
Aria almost can't believe it's the same room, even though it is.
"Wow. It'd easy to think this is not the room I lived in, but it is the exact same one." says Aria.
Judging by what she sees in the room, Aria can guess that it's a girl who live there and that this girl love sports and anime.
"Time indeed change certain things." says Aria.
3 hours later.
Aria and Emma sit under the huge Sankt Gloria statue in the middle of the campus garden.
"I remember when you and I sat here for the first time." says Emma.
"So do I. It was the night after you'd gotten heartbroken when that guy rejected you in an extremely rude and disrespectful way. I comforted you for what must've been at least a couple hours." says Aria.
"Yeah. Thanks for being there for me, Aria." says Emma.
"Friends are supposed to help each other." says Aria.
"Okay." says Emma.
"Yup. Keepin' ya company out here was the least I could do when ya were sad and needed a friend more than anything else." says Aria.
"Sweet." says Emma.
"Indeed, Emma. You're a good person." says Aria.
"Thank you. You're awesome." says Emma.
"Thanks." says Aria.
"Yay." says Emma.
The next day.
"Okay..." says Aria as she tune her guitar.
She wear a ladies' formal suit in black leather and her hair is up in a tight bun.
Aria feel ready.
"Here we go." says Aria as she hang the guitar on with a white leather strap with red gems on.
She walk out onto stage and plug her guitar into the big Vox amp.
"Now we'll hear a song by our former top-student Mrs Aria Fitz." says Yvette Janeway, the president of the college.
Aria starts to play and sing.
Scarlet light, in the night.
I am there and I care.
We're together, now and forever.
Be my friend in the end.
Don't give up, you can see, all the glory.
Stop feel sorry.
Where did the child go?
I don't know.
When it's all said and done, can you make it be okay?
I had no idea what to say.
The final chapter of a book.
Stand around. On the ground.
Be so sweet.
It's a treat.
Being happy.
Life is not crappy.
Where did the child go?
I don't know.
When it's all said and done, can you make it be okay?
I had no idea what to say.
The final chapter of a book.
You are here.
Feel no fear, in the end, you're my friend.
In the sunshine.
You're the one.
Where did the child go?
I don't know.
When it's all said and done, can you make it be okay?
I had no idea what to say.
The final chapter of a book.
Hold my hand.
Be a friend.
You are strong.
Walk along.
Cozy winter.
Forget the danger.
I can never leave you, you are so cute.
Hold my hand and follow me.
I shall show you all the truths.
We can never end.
No, no, no.
All the way down the road.
Did you truly know about this?
Understand.
Open your soul and see the light.
Yes.
Relax.
Where did the child go?
I don't know.
When it's all said and done, can you make it be okay?
I had no idea what to say.
The final chapter of a book.
Yeah!
"Yay! Go, Aria!" says Emma as she stand up and clap her hands.
Aria perform another song.
The pain just fades away, but no one's told me.
It can be good if you relax and see.
Had such a lot of glory to be proud of.
We can be more than than friends.
The glory never ends.
And you love me and I also love you.
Violet star.
Oh, violet star.
Guide me and let me go so far.
Oh, violet star.
Great violet star.
Allow me to go very far.
You opened up my soul to all the pleasure.
That is how our future's emant to be.
I love that ou are always nice to me.
Feeling strong and very good and free.
All of can now so truly see.
Violet star.
Oh, violet star.
Guide me and let me go so far.
Oh, violet star.
Great violet star.
Allow me to go very far.
Oh...yeah!
"Beautiful." says Yvette Janeway.
"Thanks, madame." says Aria.
Aria is happy.
"Okay. That was Aria. Next up we have Belinda Olsen." says Yvette Janeway.
Belinda Olsen walk up on stage.
Aria join Emma and some other women at a table close to the stage.
The other women are people who Aria and Emma know, since they were students here at the same time.
"Your songs...they're so good." says Emma.
"Okay. Thanks, Emma." says Aria.
"It's great hear you sing and play guitar." says Emma.
"Nice. I'm glad ya like it." says Aria.
"Do you have any kids?" says one of the women.
"I've a daughter and her name's Belle." says Aria.
"Sweet." says the woman.
"Yup. Belle is a very nice girl." says Aria.
"Wonderful. I wish I had my own kid too." says the woman.
"Tanya, you'll find a man to have a family with. Don't worry. There's a soul mate for everyone. Ya simply haven't found yours yet." says Aria.
"I hope you're right, Aria." says the woman, who is named Tanya Reed.
"Be positive and luck's goin' to shine upon you eventually." says Aria.
"Amazing advice." says Tanya.
"Thank ya." says Aria.
Aria is happy.
She's glad she decided to come to this homecoming.
"Tanya, what do ya do these days?" says Aria.
"I work for Kevin Bronsen, building acoustic guitars." says Tanya.
"Nice. Perhaps ya could build a custom one for me." says Aria.
"Of course. Just let me know what specs you'd like." says Tanya.
"Sweet. I'll let ya know once I've decided." says Aria.
"Alright." says Tanya.
50 minutes later.
Aria, Emma and Tanya dance.
They're happy.
Emma wear a green dress.
Tanya wear a a tight red top and white baggy pants.
"Yay!" says Emma, being happy.
"Indeed, girl." says Aria with a sweet smile.
"Awww!" says Emma.
"Yup, my friend." says Aria.
"Wonderful to meet you again after such a long time." says Emma.
"I agree. You're a sweet person. Even though we don't see each other on any kind of regular basis, I still consider you as much of a friend as the friends I see almost everyday." says Aria.
"Thanks, Aria." says Emma.
"Yup, girl." says Aria.
"Awww." says a happy Emma.
Aria is happy as well.
"Sweet that you value me as much as your friends in your town." says Emma.
"Don't worry. I like you no less than I like Hanna, Spencer, Emily, Alison and Paige. You're as much of a friend to me as they are." says Aria.
"Thanks soooo much!" says Emma.
The next day.
Aria and Emma goes for a walk together to see what campus looks like these days.
Quite a lot has changed, but some things are also the same.
The college-bar is still there and it looks like Aria and Emma remember it.
Whenever one of them or both felt sad they used to go here for a few drinks.
"I guess stuff change." says Emma ina sad tone when they see that the campus-museum is gone.
Aria and Emma often went to the campus-museum.
Both of them feel sad when they see that their old dorm common room is now only used as a room to store old items that no one want to use.
They get a bit happy though upon seeing that the dorm dining room is still used today and looks almost the same as when they were students here.
"Nice. That's you, girl." says Emma when she sees a photo of Aria on the wall in the dining room.
"Yup. I'm surprised I'm still on the dorm's Wall of Fame." says Aria.
The photo is of Aria in a formal dress and holding a guitar.
"Hi, ladies." says Wendy Lexville as she enter the room.
"Hi, Wendy." says Emma.
Emma and Aria know Wendy, since Wendy was a student here at the same time as them.
"Ya look so different. I remember your hair being as black as mine." says Aria.
"I decided to change to blonde for no special reason." says Wendy.
"That fit you." says Emma.
"Awww! Thanks." says Wendy.
"No problem. Are you still gay?" says Emma.
"Yeah, all gay and totally married." says Wendy as she reveal her shiny wedding ring.
"Cute! Who's the lucky one who get to live with you?" says Emma.
"Nobody you know. Her name's Clara Wilson. She's a dancer from Ireland." says Wendy.
"Sweet. is she here?" says Emma.
"Clara's back home in Ireland. I live there now." says Wendy.
"Do ya still play piano?" says Aria.
"I sure do. I'm in an Irish folk-music group with 4 other women." says Wendy.
"Nice." says Aria.
"Yeah." says Wendy.
"Let me say, if I ever go over to Ireland I gotta make sure I hear your group perform." says Aria.
"Okay." says Wendy.
"Yup." says Aria.
"I have to leave now. Bye." says Wendy and then walk out from the room.
Aria and Emma leave the room as well.
To be here at college again is nostalgic for both of them.
Emma and Aria remember their days as students on this campus.
"It's interesting to see what our old campus looks like these days." says Aria.
"Yeah. So much is the same and just as much is not." says Emma.
"So true, my dear friend." says Aria.
"Awww." says Emma.
"I wonder if the fun-room's still around." says Aria.
"Let's go check." says Emma.
They walk down to the basement.
Both of them get sad when they see a sign on the door to the 'fun room' that says "Closed. Do NOT enter!"
When they were college-girls this was a room that had video games and similar fun stuff, which is why it was known as 'the fun-room'.
All the girls on the campus could come here and just be themselves without any guys and such.
"Oh...they closed it off. I wish I knew the reason that." says Aria.
"Me too, Aria." says Emma.
22 minutes later.
Emma and Aria enter the campus martial arts dojo.
"I was in here a lot." says Aria.
"Me remember." says Emma.
45 minutes later, in the college-bar.
Aria and Emma drink beer and eat chicken nuggets.
Usually Aria doesn't eat chicken nuggets, since it's junk-food, but today she allow herself a small treat.
Back when she was 20, Aria decided to stop eating junk-food on a regular basis.
"This sure brings back certain memories." says Aria.
"Yeah, Aria." says Emma.
"I'm glad I got to meet ya again." says Aria.
"Nice. I feel the same about meeting you, my friend." says Emma.
"Okay. Thanks, Emma." says Aria.
"You're welcome." says Emma.
"Alright. Very sweet." says Aria.
"Yay!" says Emma.
"Indeed." says Aria.
"Cute." says Emma.
"Yup." says Aria.
"Look!" says Emma suddenly.
"What...?" says Aria.
"It's still here, over there, Aria." says Emma as she gesture towards something on the other side of the room.
"Oh, nice. Very nice." says Aria when she sees what Emma is talking about.
There's a big marble tablet on the wall.
Aria, Emma and the other girls who graduated at the same time as them carved their autographs into that tablet during their senior year.
"Yeah. So cute that they still display it." says Emma.
"I agree." says Aria.
Emma and Aria are happy that the tablet is still around.
"Well, it isn't the super-talented babe and her very fun friend." says a woman named Valerie Evans as she walk up to Aria and Emma.
Valerie was a student here at the same time as Emma and Aria and also friends with them.
"Hi, Val." says Aria.
During college Valerie was known as Val by her friends.
"Hi, Aria. Sweet to see you and Emma." says Valerie.
"Cute seeing you too." says Emma.
"So, how's life?" says Valerie.
"Nice and cozy." says Aria.
"Good. I'm doing pretty well too." says Valerie.
"Are you still dating Cole?" says Emma.
"Uh...no. He's dead...car accident a few years ago." says Valerie.
"I'm sorry..." says Emma.
"Things aren't too bad. I work so much that I don't have much time for love anyway." says Valerie.
"Exactly what is your job?" says Aria.
"Math-teacher at Windstone Middle-School." says Valerie.
"Okay. I'm sure that's a very nice fit for someone like you." says Aria.
"Thanks." says Valerie.
The next day, Aria and Emma visit the school's trophy-room.
Neither of them won any triphy during their time as students here, but they still wanna come to this room to see all the trophies.
One of the trophies is engraved with the name 'Veronica Statiada'.
Aria and Emma feel a bit sad at seeing this, since they know that Veronica is dead.
Veronica won that trophy for Special Sevices to the School, but after graduation Veronica's life went downhill.
She got into drugs and crime and after such a life for nearly 5 years she drove her car off a cliff and killed herself as well as her boyfriend and her sister.
"I wonder why someone like her ended up in such a crappy situation..." says Emma.
"Unfortunately we'll never know the full truth." says Aria.
"Yeah. Those who could answer are either dead or evil." says Emma.
"Exactly. Veronica didn't deserve any of the stuff that happened to her. She was smart and very sweet. In no way did she deserve the death she brought upon herself." says Aria.
"True." says Emma.
Emma and Aria leave the room.
"I'm sure Veronica's brother miss her a lot." says Aria.
"Yeah." says Emma.
"So, where would ya like to go now, Emma?" says Aria.
"Let's go to college-bar. I'm hungry." says Emma.
"Cute that certain things remain the same." says Aria.
"Awww! Thanks." says Emma with a very sweet smile.
"You're welcome, old friend." says Aria.
"Opsss..." says Emma as she fat by accident.
"It's fine, such things happen sometimes." says Aria.
"Yeah, guess so..." says Emma.
3 days later Homecoming Week is over.
Aria and Emma part ways once more, but promise each other to stay in more regular contact this time.
"Emma, let's not take years until we meet again. Stop by Rosewood sometime. I'd like that." says Aria.
"Okay. Here's my current phone-number. Just call if you wanna talk." says Emma.
"Thanks. If ya ever come to Rosewood you'll get to see Hanna, Emily, Spencer and Alison." says Aria.
"Nice." says Emma.
"Yup, girl." says Aria.
"Yay!" says Emma.
"I could visit you in San Diego when I get a few days off." says Aria.
"Awww! That'd be so much fun." says Emma.
"Yeah, my friend. See ya soo, I hope." says Aria.
Emma and Aria shake hands and smile.
Then they each get into their own car and leave campus.
Both of them are happy.
"These days have been very sweet." says Aria as she drive towards Rosewood.
When she finally get home the sun is already going down.
"Mommy!" says % year old Belle Aria Fitz, sooo happy to see Aria.
"Hi, lil' one. Mommy's home now." says Aria.
"Yay!" says Belle.
"Aria, welcome back. Belle and I have been waiting." says Ezra.
"Thanks. It's nice to be home again, for sure." says Aria.
She takes off her coat and gives Belle some candy.
"Candy!" says a happy Belle.
"Did you have good time at the homecoming?" says Ezra.
"Yup. It was great." says Aria.
"I'm glad you had fun, babe." says Ezra.
"Okay. Nice. Meetin' my old college-friends sure was very good." says Aria.
21 minutes later, Aria, Ezra and belle eat dinner.
After that, Aria put Belle to sleep for the day by telling her a very adorable bedtime-story similar to how Ella did when Aria was little.
Once little Belle is alseep, Aria leave the room and walk down to the living room where Ezra is.
"The lil' one's asleep now, all cute, with her favorite plushie in a hug." says Aria.
"Good. She's probably happy that her mommy has returned. Belle missed you a lot while you were away and honestly, so did I, Aria." says Ezra.
"Wonderful. Sweet ya missed me. It was cute to see Emma, but it sure's awesome to be back here as well, here with you and our very cute daughter." says Aria.
"Belle is indeed cute and I believe she'll someday grow into a very beautiful and smart lady, just like you." says Ezra.
"I hope you're right. I'm doin' my best to be a good mom to Belle and make sure she get a nice bright future." says Aria.
"I'm doing my best as well, as her father." says Ezra.
"And you've done amazing so far. Belle is as much od a daddy's lil' princess as she's a mama's lil' girl." says Aria.
"That's true. Also whenever we need it, godmommy Hanna is ready to step in nad babysit. Honestly I'm surprised how good Hanna is with little kids. Not only Belle, but also her own daughter, as well as all the kids at Rosewood Sunflower Kindergarten." says Ezra.
Hanna work at the kindergarten.
"She sure has matured a lot over the years." says Aria.
"Indeed. Hanna has come a long way from the lazy teenage girl she once were." says Ezra.
"Yup, she truly has. I'd say Hanna's now equal with me, Spencer, Em and Ali. Who could ever think that back in the days?" says Aria.
"Not me. I've nothing against her, but she did seem stuck in a mind and soul of a teen for a while." says Ezra.
"I agree 100 %. College played a huge part in makin' her more of an adult. She couldn't always depend on her mom during her years in college so she had to woman-up and learn to be a lady." says Aria.
"College is meant for that, to help people reach maturity." says Ezra.
"Yeah. I matured a significant amount myself in college." says Aria.
"Yes, even though you were quite mature already." says Ezra.
"Guess so." says Aria.
"Have you heard anything from Mona?" says Ezra.
"No, not as much as a peep from the woman since she left the country." says Aria.
"I hope she's okay." says Ezra.
"Mona's quite tough. I like to believe she can face life pretty damn well." says Aria.
"You're probably right." says Ezra.
"Alright." says Aria as she takes a seat next to Ezra.
She gives him a kiss.
"The fact that me and the girls are still friends makes me happy." says Aria.
3 weeks later.
Aria is cleaning the kitchen when she hear the door bell.
"Who can it be?" says Aria.
She get a positive surprise when she open the door and sees Emma.
"Emma? Such a sweet surprise." says Aria.
"Thanks. Let's see...apron, sweatpants and rubber gloves? I assume you're in the middle of housewife-duties, cleaning to be exact." says Emma.
"You're correct." says Aria.
"Okay." says Emma as she enter the house and takes off her jacket.
"Yup. I'm glad ya decided to stop by." says Aria.
"I've a few days off so I thought it'd be fun." says Emma.
"Nice, Emma." says Aria.
"Yeah, Aria." says Emma.
Ezra is in the kitchen, cooking dinner.
And little Belle tries to help.
"Do we have room for a dinner-guest?" says Aria.
"Sure. Why do you wask?" says Ezra.
"Emma's here and I think she should stay for dinner." says Aria.
Aria and Emma walk to the kitchen.
"Emma, meet my husband Ezra and my daughter Belle." says Aria.
"So you're Emma?" says Ezra.
"Yeah. My name's Emma Eve Summer." says Emma.
"Welcome. I'm Ezra...Aria's husband." says Ezra.
"Hi, lady." says Belle, all cute.
"Hi, little girl." says Emma.
Emma open her bag and pull out a red plush dolphin, which she gives to Belle.
"Yay! Thanks!" says a happy Belle as she hug her new plush toy.
"Are ya tryin' to spoil my lil' one?" says Aria with a sweet smile.
"Not at all. Simply wanted to give her a cute plushie." says Emma as she blush a bit.
"I understand. That's sweet of ya. Lil' girls love plushies. Back when I was a kid I sure did love plushies a lot." says Aria.
"Me too. I had so many." says Emma.
"Plushies!" says a happy and excited Belle.
"Awww!" says Emma, all sweet.
"Seems as if my lil' daughter like you." says Aria.
"Yeah." says Emma.
"I'm glad she's comfortable with you. She's sometimes shy around strangers." says Aria.
"Oh, okay..." says Emma.
"You are one of the few adults that she's been fine with from the very start." says Aria.
"Cute." says Emma.
"Yup." says Aria.
"Aria, your daughter is adorable." says Emma.
"I'm glad ya think that she's a cute kid." says Aria.
"Little girls are cute." says Emma.
"That's true." says Aria.
"Mama!" says Belle as she hug Aria's left leg.
Belle does this often.
"Awww! Lil' one, go to the kitchen and help your daddy." says Aria.
"Yay! Daddy cool." says Belle as grab her new plushie and walk to the kitchen.
"I'm sure you're a great mother." says Emma.
"I'm tryin' to be the ebst mama I can be." says Aria.
"Okay. Awesome." says Emma.
"Alright, my friend." says Aria.
The End.
