Hello, everyone. Sitting on the Event Horizon here with the prequel of my Hyperdimension Neptunia fanfiction - Cure for a Lonely Heart. It is here that I was able to bridge the gap between the chapter of Infinite Crisis of Infinite Neps in Nanya's own Hyperdimension Neptunia fanfiction - Hyperdimension Neptunia One-Shots and Cure for a Lonely Heart.
In fact, the latter part of this fanfiction is pretty much that chapter only in my Neptune's point of view with a few changes to the dialouge as well. Sorry about that, Nanya.
Without further ado, let's delve in what happens when you...
Hyperdimension Neptunia: Wish Upon A Glove
In the continent called Gameindustri, there are four countries that are run by four deities. The first one is Lowee, the Land of White Serenity even if its deity is anything but serene. Next is the country of Lastation, the Land of Black Regality and its deity is pretty much a himidere. The third country is Leanbox or the Land of Green Pastures because of its new opportunities it gave with its buxom deity doing her best for her country to grow with its numerous opportunities. Finally, there is Planeptune or the Land of Purple Progress and it showed with its deity being as progressive on her nation's technology and games as she could.
For a long time now, the all-important resource – shares or the faith of the people had to be fought over in another land called Celestia. Even then, everything had ended up in a draw and thus everyone had made a pact on not to attack each other, but just compete in terms of game making for their people (and the other countries') to enjoy.
Of course, either of the four countries would align with any of the others to obtain technology or games that would give them a slight lead on the others. Not that the alliance would remain permanent anyway, just enough to make the aforementioned games then both parties would then split.
Now, how else do the deities or what they themselves would call as goddesses gain shares. Well, there was doing quests to help their countrymen in getting some required items or getting rid of unwanted monsters.
It was this method that one of our goddesses had taken in addition to signing laws that would benefit the citizens, signing requests from the military, police, and even hunter guilds to improve their equipment, weaponries, and even vehicles, sign proposals for new games or hardware for their in-house gaming companies (usually after doing a brief test herself), and even signing the budget after it was submitted by the council that also governs the country under her.
All in all, it was something that the goddesses (and even their goddess candidates along with the oracles) would want to finish or at least lessen before the end of the day or leave for a while to either rest or partake in quests.
Unfortunately for one goddess, she did not have an oracle or a goddess candidate (more like a secretary that could only organize the paperwork for the said goddess to address when she had the time to do so) and thus was the busiest of all four deities in Gameindustri, and probably beyond as well.
"Hey," a certain young woman of only fourteen years then interrupted me. "You don't have to rub it in."
My humblest apologies, Lady Neptune. I was not able to determine that while narrating I had come close to your proximity. Please forgive this humble narrator for I am only doing my duty while flitting about the whole landmass.
"Now stop talking like one of the council members or a robot servant," the young woman – Neptune then said with a shake of her head. "I'm guessing that you've been giving the readers a heads up on Gameindustri. Also, a quick description of moi would be much appreciated."
Of course, milady and yes, I am.
The aforementioned young woman was wearing a short-sleeved mini-hoodie with blue and purple lining. The said hoodie is closed by a button emblem with a large N and has two strings that look like controller plugs.
Underneath the hoodie is a dark purple dress lined with light purple that zips up from the front and has pockets on both sides along with white lining along the bottom. Both hoodie and dress were both covered in blue goo from fighting a multitude of dogoos and some other stuff from other monsters.
Blades of grass tend to stick on the light blue and striped thigh high socks with the most concentration of the blades on the frills at the top, all of which had been stuck at the same blue goo as the other items of clothing.
In fact, the purple-colored parts including the N of her sneakers were also hard to see thanks to the amount of goo splashed on it.
"Blame the gosh-darned doggos that loved to get in my way and was even first in my list of quests to do today," the goddess of Planeptune then added with a grimace before blowing some goo off a strand of her hair above her nose. "Alright, continue narrating as I'm going to be busy for the next few hours."
Of course, milady. Umm, you don't mind me tagging along and narrating your…adventure, right?
"Of course not," Neptune answered with a shrug. "At least I get some company."
Thank you, milady.
The Planeptune Console Patron Unit or CPU had continued her walk from where the Planeptune police car had left her before returning to their patrol. She had gone towards a new dungeon that was still unnamed and barely explored in Sega Mountain range in East Planeptune near the center of the country.
This was why Neptune was given by the scientists - a bracelet that fired pulses of radio and sound waves to map out the new dungeon in all three dimensions along with an inertial navigational system determined the goddess' own location within the dungeon in the absence of the Global Positional System due to interference of the Earth's surface in between Neptune and the satellites.
"It's a good thing that I overstocked on healing items," Neptune said to herself after clearing the first two floors. "I wouldn't let anyone in the guild come here even as a group; as they'll be slaughtered here."
As it was, the monsters of this particular dungeon were much stronger than even Neptune had realized and thus she had to transform to Purple Heart a few times just to deal with some of the stronger ones.
The treasure boxes were also strange as they tend to give the rarest of items in triplicate thus Neptune's personal inventory was quickly filled. This was why she had gotten back to her basilicom to get rid of the found items and replace them with stronger and stronger healing items as she had gone back to the dungeon five times in the past four hours now.
The dungeon itself was seven floors down and each floor had much stronger monsters and even tougher floor boss monster waiting for the unfortunate adventurer/s to arrive. Thankfully, once the floor was cleared so were the monsters. The monsters themselves were found to be not just from Planeptune, but from the other countries as well.
At the end of the final floor of the dungeon, Neptune had found a leather glove seemingly covered in circuits and strange flecks of what seemed to be silver or gold along with a sack load of ultra-rare items. She put it on and wondered on why a glove would be in a treasure box at the end of a particularly tough dungeon as she had pulled out an eject button and pushed it tiredly.
Once out of the dungeon, Neptune then took a quick nap before taking off once again for home as Purple Heart.
-oOo-
Neptune then landed on the garden rooftop of her basilicom, still wearing the glove as well as carrying the other rare items that she had found along the way in a sack before transforming back to her human form.
Rather than just go to the living room and take a quick nap, the Planeptune CPU had gone down the elevator first towards the guild HQ and writing her report as well as giving the rare items to the counter in exchange for a lot of money that she would keep in the bank.
"Those is quite a treasure you've uncovered, Lady Neptune." The girl in the counter could not help but quip upon seeing the rare items. "Although, considering how dangerous the dungeon was before you cleared it, we have to send our top agents and makers first to do some needed investigations once their current quests are over."
"That would be a good idea," Neptune said with a grateful sigh. "I'm still not sure if those monsters would respawn after a while though as I repeatedly came across the dungeon a few times within the day before using an eject button to get out for the last time. Even then, I suggest extreme caution as these guys are as powerful as area bosses we have dealt with in the past."
"Yes, Lady Neptune." The counter girl replied while taking peeks at the machine that was counting the paper credits that she would later give to the CPU. "Actually, both Miss IF and Miss Compa were among the agents that had tried to enter the dungeon earlier but were forced to flee as they had run out of items and even SP much too quickly to continue at the first floor alone. We were forced to ask for your help and we're now very grateful that you had cleared the dungeon for us."
"Anything for the people, I always say." The Planeptune CPU answered once given the stacks of money that she kept in her inventory. "I'm just glad that no one was killed there."
"So are we," The bluenette girl agreed with the statement. "Truth to tell, that dungeon just showed up in our maps according to our scientists and so are those from both Lastation and Lowee who were also called in to investigate."
"Alright," Neptune added with a sigh. "I'll talk to both Blanc and Noire about that since this may be a sign of some weird spatial disturbances as MAGES would put it and that would be bad. Goodbye."
"Farewell, Lady Neptune."

Once Neptune had gone to her room and ate dinner that was prepared by the basilicom's chef, she then rested by reading a book that was based on the Celestia Wars that she and the other goddesses had shared as a reminder on how easy it was to fight amongst themselves before realizing that the people below them were suffering because of it until she slept.
It was because of their actions that criminal groups like ASIC had sprouted like sown seeds no thanks to Arfoire and her ilk. It was just good timing that she and the other goddesses had noticed that the people were losing faith in them and thus joined hands in dealing with the criminals in their own game.
Not that the war itself was bad, in the first few years, it was something more akin to harmless (but very embarrassing) pranks made between well-known pranksters in high school. There were even a few instances that Neptune herself could not help but smile at the memory where she and the others were no more than kids in adult forms just playing games.
-oOo-
A hundred years in the past, Noire was enjoying her book as she laid down underneath a tree in Celestia. She was in her human form at the moment as she saved her CPU form for fighting only.
Such was the peace in that part of Celestia that the Lastation CPU did not even think that a certain lilac-haired protagonist would ruin her day in the most disgusting way.
It all started with a rubber (yet realistic) black Arachnia spider being slowly lowered from a branch above the unsuspecting goddess. Once the spider was placed in position in between the opened pages of the book, the shrill scream that followed was overwhelming.
Thus, we were forced to zoom out for a second. From the now wide angled view of the forest, we could see the animals running or flying away from ground zero. Wait, is it my imagination or did I just see a grinning Purple Heart flying away along with the birds?
"Neptuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeee!"
I guess I was not imagining things then. (sweat drops) Then we see, Black Heart in hot pursuit of Purple Heart who could not help but laugh at the red-faced goddess chasing her in the air, after the latter had used her shares to boost her speed and altitude even more.
"When I get my hands on you," the white-haired goddess was yelling above the din of the wind. "You won't be able to walk the next day."
"Noire..." Purple Heart yelled back in shock, even stopping for a moment. "I didn't know that you're into girls. Sorry, but you're not my type."
"Neeeeeeeppppppppptttttttunnnnnnnneeee!"
Yes, it was just another day in Celestia.
-oOo-
Back in the present the following day, Neptune did sigh at the reminder that Noire did get even with her a whole month after that. 'All that wasted bowls of chocolate flavored pudding though, flushed literally down the drain.'
The lilac-haired CPU of Purple Progress had remembered Noire's revenge as if it was yesterday. It was a time when Neptune was minding her own business and playing her favorite retro game -1942 in her basilicom's living room when she heard someone had broken into her kitchen and stole her ingredients for pudding like sugar, milk, cornstarch, gelatin, chocolate, and rice.
By the time that Neptune had arrived to apprehend the intruder, she was taken down by a sudden spray of knockout gas. Upon waking up three hours later, all ingredients were all thrown to the kitchen sink and washed away.
It was a waste considering that the Planeptune CPU had to save the needed monies from her various quests and even a part of her allowance in order to buy enough ingredients for pudding that she could eat for a month.
Thankfully, both Vert and Blanc tend to prank each other rather than the other two CPUs to keep things simple.
"I'm just thankful that whatever war couldn't have started because of those creeps that tried to use our constant absence in our basilicoms," the pink-haired goddess said with a sigh. "Still, even though we've all been working hard, how is it that I'm the only one without a sister."
Neptune was startled when her house phone rang. She calmly walked towards the phone before walking towards the ringing phone and picked it up as she sat down again.
"Purple Heart," she answered automatically and professionally. "What is it, Cynthia?"
A sweet croaky voice was then heard on the other end. "Miss Neptune, there is a Mister Heart and a Mister Factory here to see you."
"Are they both game designers?"
"Yes, Ma'am."
"Then tell them to wait for me in the conference room and to use the time to set up their presentations," Neptune then said with a sigh. "I'll be there in ten minutes."
"Yes, Miss Neptune."
The Planeptune goddess then returned the phone back to its cradle and headed to the elevator, her mind recalling the time she had taken the call from Factory regarding a new game that they were hoping that Planeptune may make a reality.
-oOo-
Neptune had arrived at the conference room within ten minutes. She saw both men and their assistants already setting up their laptops and their borrowed projector as well as laying their prepared brochures and even notes. Accompanying them were the basilicom staff preparing snacks and iced tea.
"Good morning, gentlemen." She said upon entering the door. "I am ready for our demonstration today."
"Miss Purple Heart," Mister Franklin Heart said with aplomb upon hearing the voice of his country's patron goddess. "Thank you for letting us demonstrate our new game."
"Be prepared though," Neptune then added. "Other than Shenmu 3 that is currently in the market, Planeptune isn't that good with role playing games. The Lanar series is a personal favorite though."
"Wait, isn't Lanar taken over by Lastation recently?" Mister Steven Factory then asked after ensuring that presentation would go without a hitch. "I've actually heard that both Miss Black Heart and Miss Black Sister were caught playing it during one of the symposiums two months ago."
"Ah," Neptune said with a nod. "So, that's what they were playing. I was playing Tank Dragoon myself since that particular speech was long and boring. It was Blanc who nudged me back to reality."
The meeting then started with both game designers extolling their new game that was based on the goddesses themselves as well as their enemies. Neptune nodded at the given points and even asked questions on various topics like hardware compatibility and graphic requirements.
Near the end of the meeting, a Planeptune console was brought in for Neptune herself to play the game and see for herself what the game would be capable of and if it would be fun.
It was to everyone's disappointment that the game had lagged at some instances and there were some bugs in the interface and even cutscenes. After one such debacle, Neptune had enough and logged out before turning off the machine.
She then told the developers. "I am really sorry, but it seems that your game isn't compatible with my game system. It is a graphic resource hog and thus try as we might, we just cannot keep up with your requirements."
"But we actually turned down the specifications to fit your console," Steven then exclaimed. "We actually wanted your console to have this as its flagship game in the next season. Please reconsider, Miss Purple Heart."
"First things first," Neptune then added with her left forefinger raised. "You can call me Miss Neptune as it is less formal than my goddess's name. Also, there really is no need for you to downgrade your game just so we can market it."
"In that case, where would we go?" Franklin then said with somber tone. "If your console is not able to keep up with our game, that would go double for Lowee. And our game would be ignored compared to those already in Leanbox."
"There is still another option," Neptune then said with a slight smile. "You can still try Lastation."
"You're giving our game to your chief rival?!" Steven and Franklin added aghast.
"As much as I don't want Noire to have something to rub to my face," the Planeptune goddess answered with a wry smile. "I wanted your game to thrive in an environment where it can grow and give its players the most enjoyment they could get."
She then motioned both men to come closer and added in a low voice. "We actually play with the other nation's consoles either in the laboratory or even in secret and I'm sure the others would do the same. As such, I will also join the multitude of players of your game despite it being in a rival country's console."
"In that case," Franklin then said with a wide smile. "We would like to thank you in being honest in your review and even pointing us in the right direction. Although, there are rumors of Miss Black Heart actually playing Planeptune games like Spy Hunter in the privacy of her room."
"I'll keep that one under my hoodie," Neptune said with a smile, happy that Noire also plays retro-games like her in secret as well. "No sense in blurting that to Noire's face and watch her blubber a whooper of an excuse."

After both Mister Factory and Mister Heart had left the basilicom smiling, Neptune had thought to examine the glove that she found just the day before.
"So how can I activate this thing?" Neptune said to herself. "Starlight, star bright. I wish I may I wish I might. I wish my wish will come true tonight?"
Nothing had happened.
"Ok," the Planeptune goddess then thought for a minute before trying again. "Glove, follow my commands."
Still nothing.
"Maybe I could activate it by shaking it or something."
Neptune then shook the glove in her right hand, closed and opened her fist slowly at first then rapidly. And yet nothing still happened.
'Geez, there's got to be something that would activate this glove so I can wish that I could have everything I wanted.'
Suddenly, the glove had glowed brightly before it and purplish hole had opened above her with a lot and I mean a lot of Neptune clones falling from it. The original Neptune was about to say something when another purplish hole opened up underneath all of them, swallowing them all at once.
-oOo-
She (and the other Neptunes that numbered to about fifty or so) found herself in a grassy field nearby of what she thought at first was her basilicom.
"This place blows," one Neptune said with a grimace. "I'll go visit Verty-poo. Maybe she'll be more fun."
"I'll go with you," some of the Neptunes followed her.
"You think that Miss Gas Bags is fun," another Neptune sneered at the ones that ignored her and left. "I'll check out Blanny-blanny-B."
"Wait for us." Some more Neptunes followed the second one that left.
"You girls are too extreme," yet another Neptune said. "I'll go visit Tsun Number One."
"Hey, don't leave us behind."
The OG Neptune thought about visiting Noire too, but thought that it would be better if she would check out this basilicom first.
"Anyone who wants to explore this land, raise your hands." A fourth Neptune said suddenly. "Wait, there's a dimensional portal nearby. Even better."
"Let's go!" That Neptune and bunch of other Neptunes left for the said portal.
The OG Neptune shrugged her shoulders and left for the basilicom. 'Maybe there's someone who could give me a heads up of this place.'
-oOo-
Once inside the Basilicom, after marveling at how the technology seemed slightly different as well as some of the buildings and even people were, Neptune was warmly greeted by the staff who thought that their Neptune had come back from a quest.
Neptune had easily familiarized herself with the basilicom that still reminded her of her own. 'I wonder if there is a version of me here too.'
She had gotten to the elevator before realizing that there was a group of Neptunes back in the field that did not know where to go and may follow her or just do some exploring anyway.
Neptune had quickly deduced where her office was and went there, eager to do some work despite realizing that it was not her basilicom at all. Even then, the people there were still kind and really helpful, never mind that she was not the Neptune they know.
Once she was in "her" office, she immediately noticed the high stack of papers on her doppelganger (she later realized that this was the Hyper dimension, not her own dimension that I would call the Giga dimension).
Cracking her knuckles, Giga Nep sat down and went to work. She studied the various proposals and either signed them once they had met her requirements and made notes on them if they did not. She also noticed that her counterpart was not the only one who was working on the office she was in.
'So, there's these persons named Histoire and Nepgear that does the work as well.' Giga Nep thought while studying a particular proposal that caught her eye as she had noticed the different signatures on the documents that were already given the go signal. 'Oracle and Goddess Candidate, huh. Now why did that stupid glove not just bring me these two instead?!'
Remembering that it was the glove that brought her (and the others) here in the first place, Neptune looked at it and made a mental wish to come home along with the other the Neps.
Again, nothing happened except for a few sparks that meant that the glove was broken either from the fall or from using too much power all at once.
'Oh shoot.' Giga Nep thought sourly. 'Just when I needed it too.'
Having nothing else to do, Giga Nep just continued working.
-oOo-
While our heroine was contemplating on what to do with a certain proposal on using Bluetooth-connected controllers to Planeptune's star console – Zega, the door had opened to reveal a small blonde figure sitting on a book wondering why the office light seemed to be open as well as one of the Neptunes that followed Giga Nep.
The second Nep was holding the said figure close and seemed to be giggling softly. The figure, who was later revealed to be Histoire, the Tome of History and Oracle of Planeptune, confused at the fact that there were two Neptunes and that they were as different as night and day.
"Um, can someone please explain…"
The Oracle was not able to continue when a lilac haired girl in her teens had run through the still open door in what seemed to be purple pajamas. She was followed by as many as five Neptunes that Giga Nep had realized where part of the group that she left without thinking earlier.
She was yelling at the top of her lungs. "Histoire! What's going on? Why are there so many Neptunes?"
Giga Nep sighed softly as she realized that unless the power glove was fixed; there was no way for her to get home and get rid of the annoying clones. Instead of continuing her paperwork, she chose to silently watch the chaotic scene in front of her.
"That's what abababababababababa…." The one called Histoire was telling the other girl when she started shaking up violently, before lighting up and a projection lit up on the wall. "Hello, can you call me back? We're having a crisis over here."
The image had shown a smaller version of Histoire gave the larger one a dirty look before replying. "You're having a crisis?! I wake up this morning and there's three Neptunes trying to change my batteries; there's a Neptune begging Plutia to go Sadie and punish her and I got a call from Vert, Blanc, and Noire saying that there are multiple Neptunes around them, all of them declaring their undying love."
Giga Nep winced at the lurid description of a what seemed to be an oracle of yet another dimension that was calling for help because of the clones that she had inadvertently made. 'I may not like the CPUs of my world, but even I wouldn't wish this on them.'
Thinking that it was time for her to reveal her presence to the trio of oracles and goddess candidate, the visiting CPU then said softly. "So, it's happened over there too?"
As one, both Histoires and the girl who she later learned was named Nepgear, had looked at the visitor in puzzlement and surprise.
Giga Nep then continued with a slight blush. "Um, see, I had a ton of things I had to do today and I found this artifact yesterday from a weird dungeon that just popped up and after doing some work that included a presentation between two bigshots in the gaming industry. I don't know why but once I wore the glove, a voice kept telling me that it would fulfill my fondest wish."
The three nodded before Nepgear introduced herself and asked. "Which Neptune are you?"
"Not one from this world, I can assure you," the visiting Neptune answered with a sigh. "In my world, I'm the only CPU that doesn't have anyone really close to me. No little sister, no dedicated helper, no friends, and I'm not a friend of the other CPUs either."
Giga Nep the paused for a while before continuing. "I found this artifact along with a ton of rare items, come back home, do some work, sleep, and the next day once I get some free time, I tried to make it work before ending up wishing mentally – 'I wish I could have everything I wanted'. The next thing I knew, a hole in space-time opened up directly above me and a bunch of…"
She then gestured at the Neptunes that were just as entranced with the story as both oracles and goddess candidate were. "Well, mes for want of a better word, suddenly appeared from that hole and then we got dumped on this dimension, by the way, what dimension is this anyway? Some of them ran off to Lowee, some to Leanbox, some to Lastation, and there's those that left to do some exploring including that dimensional portal, don't ask me how they could feel that, and ran off. Of course, there's these girls that followed me here."
"That explains a lot," Both Histoires said at the same time.
"You don't have a little sister?" Nepgear asked, shocked as Giga Nep nodded sadly. "I'm sorry to hear that."
"Yeah…" the visiting Nep answered with a shrug and a deeper sigh. "I'm shocked too since it just doesn't feel right especially since your Neptune has you."
One of the other Neptunes had tried to change the mood in the room by suddenly glomping the goddess candidate while its fellow Neptune had nuzzled her face on Nepgear's butt.
With yet another sigh, Giga Nep added. "And no, I don't know why these Mes are acting like these either."
"Do you have the artifact in question?" The bigger Histoire then asked her as she tried to ignore the Neptune that was nuzzling her.
"It's broken," Giga Nep muttered in return as she lifted a glove in her left hand that had a bunch of wires and gold plating on it.
"I can fix it," Nepgear said with sparkling eyes…before her face had scrunched up into a frown. "Oh, um. Can the Neptunes hugging me let go and… Hey, no."
Nepgear spun around and bopped the Neptune that was hugging her from behind. "No trying to strip me."
"Can someone please explain to me what's going on?" A new but familiar voice had spoken and Giga Nep had to drink in the image of this dimension's Purple Heart. The transformed CPU was glaring at the Neptunes, causing all of them to stiffen.
"First of all," she told the two Neptunes that were holding Nepgear. "You two. Stop lewding my little sister."
She then pointed at the one that was nuzzling Histoire. "Loosen that hug, before I loosen it for you."
Finally, Purple Heart pointed at Giga Nep and added. "You…. I'm not sure if I should thank you for doing our paperwork or not."
"I was doing it because I did not want to go insane with the amount of m….us running around, Giga Nep answered while wishing that she could transform too, at the very least to compare her own CPU self with her Hyperdimension's CPU form's self and maybe spar with her."
Purple Heart could only rub her forehead in exasperation. "Okay, what's going on?"
"Well, just yesterday, I've been told to clear a certain dungeon that even our best guildsmen could not penetrate and it took a lot of healing and SP items for me to clear each level alone either in my human form or in my CPU form." Giga Nep told her Hyperdimension counterpart. "After a whole day of clearing the dungeon, I got this thing – the power glove, but I could not activate it. It was only after I've had breakfast and a meeting the next day that I tried again. This time, I got a whole lot of us falling down from a hole in space time then ended up here."
Purple Heart only nodded as what had happened could only happen to a fellow Neptune, despite not being in the same dimension.
"Yes, I see." Purple Heart then turned her attention to her little sister. "Okay, Nepgear. You bring the power glove to lab and get it fixed so we can fix this."
Turning to the wall, she then added. "This is affecting your dimension too, Mini-Histy?"
"Yes," Mini-Histy sighed softly. "I'm not sure that I'm ready for a masochistic version of you."
Both Purple Heart and Giga Nep shuddered at the thought. 'I'm not sure if I'm ready for a masochistic version of me too.'
Turning back to Nepgear, Purple Heart then added. "Nepgear, hurry before all the mes get hungry for pudding."
Nepgear had disappeared and was replaced by a cloud of dust that was whipped up by her passing with the power glove also missing from Giga Nep's hand.
"So…" Purple Heart said as she floated to the desk and transformed back to Neptune. "Wanna talk about this, Other Me?"
"Sure," Giga Nep really wanted to talk about the incident as well as a few more to her Hyper counterpart. "You know, you're really lucky to have Nepgear as a sister."
"That's true, but sometimes I wish I have the drive to work like you." Hyper Nep answered with a sigh. "Thanks to you, I'll remember to put more effort to paperwork than just goofing around. I don't want to be like those other us."
"Well, it's not like I have somebody to whom I could share the work with like you did with Histoire and Nepgear," Giga Nep then added. "I think I'll try again once I get back home."
"So, you don't team up with your world's other CPUs?" Hyper Nep then asked as she wanted to know a little more about her other dimension self. "Mine are a bit of a pain sometimes, but they do have their worth. So why don't you?"
"Well no," Giga Nep answered with a shake of her head. "Mostly because they have candidates that help them especially Uni and that each of us have our own goals and they don't always come together especially when it came to me. Uni's pretty much the leader of the Candidates being the oldest amongst them."
"Ah," Hyper Nep nodded in understanding. "Well, Nepgear is the oldest one here in Hyperdimension and she's the leader as well."
"I'm beginning to see why in the short time I met her," Giga Nep added with a shrug. "Still, I guess I'll wait for the chance for my Nepgear to be born eventually. Now, the only thing I need to do when she does get born is to take some more time off."
"If I'm ever in the neighborhood, I'll teach you to slack off." Hyper Nep said which made both Neptunes giggle. "Actually, I'm serious about that."
"Thank you," Giga Nep said with a sincere smile. "Although, I do take breaks every once in a while. Everyone agrees that I take the least breaks out of all of us goddesses."
"That's Noire's problem here so I come by a few times to get her to have some fun," Hyper Nep added with a slight smile. "Thankfully, she does take breaks more often now."
"Heh," Giga Nep grunted while still smiling. "Maybe she'll probably do the same with me sometime after I get back home since she's almost as bubbly as you are."
"A bubbly Noire," Hyper Nep said in a whisper as if afraid to say it out loud. "The only Noire I know that is bubbly is the one from Ultra Dimension where the little Histy we saw is staying. Now I really want to be in your neighborhood and before you ask, I'll even be helping you out with work."
"Just don't do too much or everyone in Giga Dimension would be shocked to see two of us working like mad."
"Right," Hyper Nep countered with a disarming smile. "Like Histoire and Nep Jr could not believe a Neptune working as hard as you do."
Again, both Neps laughed, each one of them enjoying their conversation and even sharing the work in between them. Both were so engrossed in work and their conversation that they did not notice the time.
-oOo-
After an hour has passed, a shrill shout had pierced the atmosphere once the sliding door had opened once again. "NEPTUNE!"
Both Hyperdimension Noire and Blanc had come in, faces red with fury (and embarrassment) followed by several Neptunes.
"Yes?" All of the Neptunes asked at the same time and if you listen closely, one of them had added a sigh. This caused the two Hyperdimension CPUs to scream in primal fear.
Behind them, Vert was blushing hard as she was being carried by several Neptunes while sitting on a throne on a scaffold of some sort. "Well, this is certainly…interesting."
"I love you, Verty." The Neptunes carrying Vert said at the same time.
"I really don't get why," Giga Nep grumbled with a sour expression on her face. "I can't stand my dimension's versions of the CPUs."
Seeing that this Neptune was the cause of their current misfortunes (then again, their Nep was in one way or another the cause of their misfortunes anyway), both Noire and Blanc pointed at Giga Nep and exclaimed angrily. "YOU! THIS IS YOUR FAULT!"
"Yep," Giga Nep answered with a nod. 'Hyper me is right. They are kind of annoying, but still not as annoying as my fellow goddesses.'
Hyper Nep figuring that she needed to distract her fellow CPUs before they may harm her new friend said after sighing. "Hey, Noire, Blanc, and Vert. I'm the Neptune you know."
"Prove it!" Noire demanded as she had more than enough Neps for a lifetime.
Hyper Nep then transformed to her CPU self, surprising the other goddesses including the newly arrived Rom and Ram along with two more Neptunes.
"Ok..." Noire said as she was surprised to see Purple Heart again. "Stay that way so I can tell you both apart!"
"Big Sis…" Rom was blushing as she spoke. "Can you tell this Miss Neptune to stop grabbing my butt?"
Blanc, Giga Nep, and Purple Heart had reacted quickly with Purple Heart being the quickest as she threw her chair to that particular Neptune causing the latter to fall in the floor with a loud cry.
"My hand slipped…" Purple Heart sheepishly admitted to a shocked Noire and Vert with both Giga Nep and Blanc wishing that they had acted faster.
Ram pouted. 'I wish Purple Heart would do the same to the Neptune that was braiding her hair too.'
"Sis!" Nepgear into the room, stopped for a moment to look at the dazed Neptune beside a chair then continued on inside. "I fixed it."
She then ran to where Giga Nep was sitting and gave her the power glove. "You should…"
"Say no more, Miss Nepgear." Giga Nep answered as she wore the power glove.
Once she felt it snuggly in her left hand, Giga Nep then snapped her fingers. The other Neps suddenly stiffened.
"I don't feel so good." They all said at the same time before turning into pixels and disappearing.
Can I say meta? Probably as this is Hyperdimension Neptunia after all.
"Well, that happened," Giga Nep muttered and even winced as Vert crashed to the floor. Not because she was sympathetic to other CPU, but because it cracked the floor. "Sorry about the floor."
Purple Heart turned back to Hyper Nep and sighed. "No, that's fine. We can fix that."
After a moment, she then did some hand movements and a white portal opened up behind her. "I apologize, really, for all the insanity I caused."
"Well, it wasn't that bad," Vert muttered as she got up, her face flushed while everyone else looked at her with raised eyebrows. "Ahem, the Neptunes who were with me were very nice."
"So, you didn't get carried around your Basilicom butt naked then?" Noire asked, muttering in anger.
'Or almost get lewded in front of your sisters," Blanc grumbled while she looked at Rom, who was blushing, and Ram, who was trying to fix her hair from the braids that had been put in it. 'Truth to tell, Ram does look cute with those braids. I think I'll braid her myself tomorrow.'
Noire suddenly stiffened and groaned. "I forgot Uni back in Lastation. I hope she's ok."
Giga Nep was then reminded of her own dimension's Uni who she could rely as just as much as she could count on the other goddesses of her dimension in a fight or important decisions regarding trade or cooperation for some games.
"I hope things are better in Plutie's world," Hyper Nep muttered, wondering what happened over there as Ultra Histoire had not contacted them anymore.
"Well, this is where I go home," Giga Nep said with a wave at her new friends and acquaintances and walked to the portal.
She then paused and turned to look at Hyper Vert. 'Question?"
"Yes," Vert blinked in confusion.
"Do you have a younger sister?" Giga Nep then asked, with Vert shaking her head. "Dang it, I was right, my world is messed up if you have a sister and I don't."
With her head thrown back, Giga Nep continued on to the portal.
She could hear Vert exclaiming just before the portal closed behind her. "Wait, what's this about a sister?"

Giga Nep emerged in her bedroom and continued on towards her office to catch up with the work she left behind for three days now, according to her digital calendar. She then called up her secretary and explained that there was a snafu with the power glove, but she was back and ready to tackle her increased workload including her backlog.
-oOo-
That night, just before she slept. Neptune once again concentrated her thoughts in her second wish. 'I wish I have someone to be with me when I needed her most.'
The power glove shuddered once again and a certain blonde sitting on a book popped on Giga Nep's right.
"Huh?" the small figure asked as she looked around. "Where am I? Who are you?"
"My name is Neptune, Console Patron Unit of Planeptune," Giga Nep answered. "And I believe your name is Histoire, right?"
"Yes," Giga Histoire answered hesitantly. "How did you know?"
"I guessed," Giga Nep answered with a large smile. "If you'd like, you can sleep with me and then we can talk about Planeptune's new Oracle tomorrow."
"I'd like that," Giga Histy said before both girls had laid on the bed and fell asleep.
As Humprey Bogart said in end of Casa Blanca, this is the start of a beautiful friendship. Of course, the Hyperdimension group along with those from Ultradimension as well as Ultra Nep, Croire, and Uzume Tennouboshi would later be visiting the Giga dimension, bringing chaos and excitement to its resident goddesses and their allies. I am quite sure that everyone will be taking notes with Hyper Nep probably making yet another link between the Giga and Hyper dimensions as well.
