A/N: My first story for 'What Does the Fox Say' (WDTFS) and surprisingly it's also the first WDTFS story in this fanfiction. Highly recommended for those that prefer manhwa focuses on working adult rather than innocent school life shoujo ai but beware, the manhwa consists some adult, spicy, uncensored scenes though. The story takes places after chapter 119, a fiction continuation after Baek Seju's lunch with a business associate.

"You are alone."

"Yes. She left early once I make it clear there isn't any new business opportunity for her anymore."

"Oh…"

"Have a seat. Don't waste this good wine."

Sumin obliged. Seju asked for a new glass and filled it half full for Sumin.

"Long time no see."

Seju laughed lightly. "It's only few months, Sumin." 'But this is the longest time we have been apart for more than 10 years.'

"I know." Sumin murmured softly.

They sipped their wine.

"I will promote your position later." Seju suddenly said.

"Why?"

"I will be away for some time. I need someone that I could trust to run the company. For your current position, I let you to decide what to do with it. Hire, promote or temporary leave it empty, you'll make the decision."

Sumin kept quiet and waited. Waiting for Seju to explain the reason for her departure.

"Father left me a villa at Jeju island. The villa turns out to be an old hotel. That was where my father hid my mother when I was still in my mother's womb. I decided to refurbish it and rerun it as a hotel."

"By yourself?"

Seju hesitated. She looked out through the window. First snow of the year started to fall. Seju chuckled.

"Hm?"

"Remember you told me not to wait for you under the snow anymore? We got to see the first snow again. Feels like it's kind of fated."

Sumin's gaze shifted to the falling snow.

"Are you worry for me?"

"Huh?" Sumin's focus back on Seju.

"I'm asking, are you worry for me?"

"I…." Sumin looked away.

Seju smiled. "This sums up our relationship right?"

"I don't understand."

Seju's attention returned to the outdoor snow. "We know each other since high school. Dated for few years. Locked in bittersweet relationship for more than 10 years…If I had known earlier you still love me, if I were courageous enough to break, to pursue whatever love you left behind for me in those 10 years, perhaps, maybe perhaps we would have ended differently. But I didn't dare to push it, afraid it might irk you, and destroy whatever love hate relationship we had back then that you would actually totally leave me for good. Little did I know, to get you back, the only thing I have to do, is to tell you I still love you."

"…."

"Our relationship is just like a tangled web. We know where it started, but we couldn't find where it ends. There were too complications, too many routes, too many intersections tying the web together. It's impossible to completely destroy the web because whatever happened had been etched deeply in our heart. All those loves as well as all those hates. Hence, I always have soft spot for you and I know in your heart, there is always a spot for me."

Sumin sighed and whispered lowly. "…..Yes…"

Seju looked deeply into Sumin's eyes. "For the first time in my life, I'm glad you won't ask for reconciliation because otherwise you will make my heart deeply conflicted."

"Huh?"

"I won't be alone in Jeju so don't worry. Previously... I don't how to learn to live without you. I couldn't imagine my life without you either. But...there is…..there is someone in Jeju….for the past few months she helped me to cope with it and surprisingly she did well. I'm...I'm considering to explore new possibility with her."

Sumin felt a sharp pain on her heart. Perhaps she was getting used to be the center of Seju's life, perhaps she was getting used to have Seju waiting for her, or perhaps she was getting used to go back to Seju's arm whenever she pleased, hence, to hear Seju said it with her own mouth, that she would be really leaving for good, though technically Seju supposed to have said her last goodbye few months ago, Sumin couldn't help from feeling disappointed and dejected.

"If I could turn back the clock, I definitely would not let us to end it this way, but still, Sumin-ah….." Seju smiled. "I do not regret meeting you."

Sumin remembered the smile very well. The exact smile that make her heart fluttered when she first set her eyes on Seju.

"Perhaps…..we can only continue this fate of ours in our next life….."

'I bet you don't remember the first time we...-Sumin'

'I remember clearly the first time we met…..-Seju'

Gone were the days where specialty coffee was prepared and served by a barista. Biometric technology had advanced in retail industry where repeating consumers just need to scan their iris, or thumb, or biometric watch on a machine to have their order and payment processed and this was how a certain black haired woman got her coffee everyday.

Today, the black haired woman was in rush. She overslept and was rushing for work but still, it did not deter her to grab her daily Americano 7 shots first. Once her coffee was done, she quickly grabbed it and make a quick turn dash to her office. It was at this moment, just like everyday drama, a hand flung out of nowhere, knocked her coffee loose from her hand, spilled it all over her shirt, it left the black haired woman totally stunned.

"My god…Im sorry…I'm so sorry…"

It took few seconds for the black haired woman to finally recovered her senses. She was in full rage by now and cursed. "What the fuck. Why the hell did you…." She stopped short the moment she came face to face with the offender. For an unknown reason her heart beat wildly.

The offender, a woman with tied up shoulder length pink hair apologized again. "I'm sorry. I did not notice you were in front of me."

For the black haired woman, the unpleasant encounter suddenly became the last thing on her mind right now. "You…do I know you?"

"I guess no but…you look awfully familiar to me."

"What's your name?"

"I'm Bu Sek Jae. How bout you?"

"I'm Sim Sun Gun."

Bu Sek Jae smiled. For an unknown reason, Sim Sun Gun thought she saw that smile before. Somewhere in the distant past.

"Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too."

A/N: Stories about bittersweet relationship always get me hook to it. The reason I wrote this 1 piece is because I felt that the relationship in between Sumin and Seju ended too abruptly and I felt that there are some words that were left unsaid in between them. Furthermore, I felt the author was being slightly injustice towards Seju, hence I wanted to give a good ending for Seju. I'm still working on my story and like usual, I need plenty of time for that.
