Hey everyone!

So I got good news and bad new.

Good News: I have posted this Non-Chapter!

Bad News: This is not a Chapter

I guess I should explain. This is a one-shot with Merlin Arthur and Beatrice. It's also set around modern times. I based in in the fall, where the leaves start changing color and fall out of the trees. Since it's fall break, I decided to write this. No, it is not a chapter int he story line. I had find time to write even this. I worked hard on it so I hope you like this fun scenario! READ ON MY READERS!

(I still don't own Merlin. I only own this story and my character. Nothing Else.)

Beatrice loved leaves. How could she not? Whenever Arthur finished with racking up a pill of brown and red leaves, Beatrice would run and leap into it. Arthur would glare at her and yell her off, but that never bothered her. She had better plans for Princy Boy.

You see, Giles was on vacation from the hospital, so that left Merlin to take care of Beatrice. When Arthur heard of this, he immediately decided that he was going to be in charge of Merlin during these events. Beatrice didn't mind. Like she said, she had plans. Big plans.

Merlin sat down next to Beatrice on the wooden bench outside. His blue eyes looked concerned.

"Arthur giving you a hard time?" He asked.

Beatrice shook her head. Arthur's being Arthur: A Royal Pain in the Tail.

"At least you don't have him as a boss."

The she-cat nodded. Thank the Lord.

Merlin let out a laugh. Then placed his elbow onto the table. "You have a plan, don't you."

Beatrice gave him an offended look. How DARE you think that I, a LOYAL member of his FAMILY, would even PLAN against his royalness.

"How big is it?"

Beatrice flattened herself on the bench. Big.

"Do I have a part in it?"

Of course.

"Let's get started, then."

~.~.~

Arthur had finished another pile of leaves. He let out a huge sigh and leaned against the rake. Usually, he would have Merlin do this work, but most likely Merlin would join that cat in her play. He closed his eyes and listened to the sound of nothingness. "Finally." He muttered. His peace didn't last long.

Behind a tree, Merlin watched the pile of leaves with forced concentration. With one hand he reached dramatically for the pile.

"Detonate." He muttered.

For a few seconds, his sky blue eyes turned gold, but once that second passed, they faded back to blue.

Beatrice took that moment to strike. She ran from her hiding place (a different tree) and with all her force, leaped towards Arthur. She landed onto his shoulder, just in time to catch a glimpse of his expression, then leaped again in the hurricane of leaves.

Arthur's face was priceless.

(Looking back, Beatrice swore she heard Merlin dying of laughter from behind his tree.)

At times like this, Beatrice wished he could hear her. So he could hear her laughing at him and shouting things like: POP GOES THE WEASEL!

Once Arthur regained his senses, he picked up Beatrice by her scruff and stared into her eyes.

"Why you little devil." He sheathed. Beatrice tried to look as harmless as ever.

Arthur pointed a finger at her. "You're not the only one who did this. Were you?"

I don't know what you're talking about. She said, giving his a smile. This made him look even more disturbed and simply let go of her scruff.

Beatrice didn't land on her feet.

She took that moment to run to the tree Merlin was hiding. His face was so red, that it looked like he was trying to mimic a tomato (and was doing a great job at it. Gold star!)

"That. Was. Worth it." He gasped.

Beatrice smiled up at him. It was, wasn't it.

Merlin stood up and the two proceeded to walk back towards that house. Only one thing made them stop in their tracks.

"MERLIN!"

WOOHOO! I'm honestly shocked on how quick I wrote this and how much I'm proud of it. That being said: I apologize for any grammar errors you find.

News on Updates: I just placed another one-shot in A Ghost's Legacy. I wrote it weeks ago, but still. It was fun to write.

Note: I want you all to know that I'm in process of writing a book. When I say that, I don't mean a fanfic (even though I love writing for you guys). I mean a literal book with chapters and a plot and a cover of it's own. I just finished writing chapter five! If you want me to say more about that next chapter, place it in the comments. If you never want to hear me mention it again, place it in the comments. I'm all ears.

Last Thing: The spell Merlin used made the leaves blow up. I tried to find an Old English generator, but all of them said the same thing. Just wanted to clear that up.

Thank Yous: Thank you all for reading. I hope you love reading this as much as I love writing it. See you next chapter!
