Ch 16 Hoping For A Miracle
"Donnie you're like seriously freaking me out," Casey said.
"Yeah," Raph chimed in. "Just tell us how Mikey is already!"
"Mikey is barely alive," came Donnie's soft reply. "He's lost a lot of blood and his throat has been slashed. Its a miracle that's he alive at all. He needs to get back to the lair so I can give him blood and properly treat him."
"Uh problem Donnie," Raph said. "How the Hell are we gonna get him back on the Patrol Buggy?"
"We're not," Donnie said. "Mikey took the Shell Raiser here and that's what we're gonna use."
"But how?" April asked. "We don't even know where Mikey parked it."
"Um guys?" Karai said. "We need to get the Hell out of here! Like right now! Shredder's on his way back here!"
"Help me lift Mikey!" Leonardo cried out. April and Karai went to help the blue masked turtle. Donnie opened the window and he, Casey and Raph climbed out while the others lowered Mikey out, being as gentle as they could. The group took off full force towards the exit. Once they were safely outside Donnie pressed a button on his belt.
"I sent for the Shell Raiser," the gap toothed turtle informed the others. "It should be here any..." Then as if on cue the Shell Raiser came squealing around the corner, stopping right in front of the group. "I'm gonna send the Patrol Buggy back to the lair," Donnie said, after climbing in and helping get Mikey settled. April was holding a cloth to the youngest turtle's neck, trying to stop the bleeding. Leo got into the driver's seat and floored it out of there.
"He's losing to much blood!" Donnie cried out as he applied more pressure to Mikey's neck. "I need my emergency medical supply bag!"
"Got it!" Raph cried out, handing his slightly younger brother the bag. Donnie quickly pulled out his stitching bag and began to stich Mikey's throat. After a few minutes he was done and the bleeding stopped.
"Whew that was to close," April said, wiping the blood off her hands.
"He still lost a lot of blood," Donnie said, felling the side of Mikey's neck. "His pulse is very weak," the purple masked turtle said, reaching into his bag and pulling out two large needles and some tubing and a pump.
"Donnie what the Hell are ya doin'?" Raph asked as he watched with wide green eyes as Donnie stuck one of the needles into Mikey's arm.
"He needs blood," Donnie repeated as he connected the needle to the tubing, which he had connected to the pump. "He won't make it back to the lair at this rate. I'll have to give him some of my blood until we reach the lair."
"But D won't that like make you super weak?" Casey asked, his black eyes wide.
"Yeah it would," Donnie confirmed with a nod.
"Donnie that doesn't sound like such a good idea," April said, her eyes wide as well.
"I agree with April," Karai chimed in. "And isn't that dangerous without the proper equipment?"
"There's always risk with these types of things," Donnie said. "But what other choice do I have? Mikey will die if I don't do it." With that Donnie prepared to stick the needle in his arm. But Raph stopped him, putting his hand on Donnie's arm.
"Use my blood Donnie," the red masked turtle said. Donnie opened his mouth to protest but Raph held up his hand. "Donnie we're gonna need you to be 100 percent," he said. "And you ain't gonna be able to do anything if you're weak. So if you can use your blood then you can use mine."
"Raph," Donnie began.
"Damn it Donnie don't argue and just stick me with the damn thing!" Raph shouted. "We ain't got time for this! Now stick me!" With that Raph sat next to Mikey and held out his arm. Donnie quickly stuck the needle in Raph's arm and started the pump. Within minutes blood started flowing out of Raph's arm and into Mikey's arm.
"Let me know if you start feeling light headed Raph," Donnie said, sitting beside his red masked brother.
"Sure thing," Raph said, as he leaned back. Donnie let out a sigh and leaned his head back too. The rest of the trip back to the lair was spent in silence.

After what seamed like hours the group had finally reached the lair. Leo quickly jumped out and ran to help Donnie carry Mikey. April was helping Casey walk since he had a broken ankle while Karai went to help Raph. "I don't need your help," Raph snapped, glaring at Karai.
"Alright fine," Karai said, crossing her arms. "Go ahead. Stand on your own. I won't help you. But I think you and I both know that after giving all that blood plus the fact that your shell has a crack in it you're gonna need help. But go on and try and do it yourself."
"Fine I will!" Raph growled as he tried to stand. But his head was spinning as he tried to stand. Then a sharp stab of pain went through his shell. As much as Raph tried not to he cried out in pain as he fell back to the ground.
"Now can I help you?" Karai asked. Raph glared at his sister but said nothing. Instead he held out his hand for her to help him. Karai picked Raph up under his arms and gently hoisted him to his feet. Putting Raph's arm around her and making sure he was steady Karai helped him walk out of the Shell Raiser. The two siblings walked wordlessly towards Donnie's lab, both of them anxious to hear about Mikey's condition.

Moment later Raph and Karai were in Donnie's lab where Donnie was working frantically to save Mikey. Splinter was tending to Casey's ankle while April and Leo helped Donnie. Karai got Raph settled into a chair and he closed his eyes and leaned his head back. "Raph are you alright?" Karai asked, kneeling beside her red masked brother. This got the attention of Splinter, who had just finished wrapping Casey's ankle.
"Yeah I'm alright," came Raph's soft reply. "Just a little dizzy."
"Here my son," Splinter said, holding out a glass of juice. "This should help with the dizziness."
"Thanks Sensei," Raph said, taking the juice and drinking in. Splinter knelt down beside his son and put his hand on Raph's forehead. "Sensei," Raph began. But Splinter held up his hand, silencing him as Splinter gently pushed Raph forward so he could examine his shell. Splinter silently taped the crack in Raph's shell as Karai handed the green eyed turtle a few cookies. After a few minutes of silence Casey finally spoke.
"Man I hate all this waiting," the dark headed teen said as he began to stand. But a sharp pain went through his ankle and he quickly sat back down.
"You should not be moving around Casey," Splinter said. "You have a broken ankle.'
"Man its a good thing my old man is out of town," Casey muttered. "There's no way in Hell I'd be able to explain all of this to him." The group all nodded in agreement but said nothing for a few more minutes.
"Man I hope Mikey's alright," Raph said. Then as if on cue Donnie looked over at them as he wiped the blood off his hands. Leo and April did the same as they sat beside the rest of the group with exhausted sighs.
"How is Michelangelo?" Splinter asked, looking at Donnie.
"Not so good," Donnie said. "There was so much damage done. And like I said before: he's lost a lot of blood. Luckily we managed to keep his stable thanks to Raph and I managed to give him blood but my supply is depleted now."
"But he's going to be alright isn't he?" Karai asked. Donnie looked at his sister and opened his mouth to respond.
A/N this looks like a good place to stop guys. Hope you all enjoyed ch 16. Review please and thank you
