Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Seeing through Hate. Enjoy the 1100-word chapter. I don't own Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto and a few others do.
Kaito took a deep breath. His lungs still stung from Hanabi's fingers being jabbed into his stomach. He weakly turned his head to the side to look at Hanabi.
"So, what do you want to talk about?" Kaito questioned Hanabi and managed to pull his legs to his chest while he blinked.
He couldn't feel his stomach or legs at all. Hanabi nodded and stretched her legs out in front of her. She hummed and blinked before turning to Kaito.
"About the future." Hanabi said in a matter of fact which made Kaito hum. Hanabi did have a tendency to be straight and to the point when it came to things.
"You just said you're going to be leader in a few months." Kaito put in as he brought his hands to steady himself from falling over.
Kaito watched Hanabi shift her weight to help him keep from collapsing. The Hyuga heir sighed, more annoyed at herself for using what she thought would only slightly incapacitate Kaito.
'Seems I am going to have to call the family doctor. I thought I only put enough charka in to disable him for a few minutes.' Hanabi mentally stated to herself while letting out a sigh.
Kaito blinked before realizing that Hanabi was keeping him from falling over. It was enough to make him blush slightly.
"You've been around me more than my father." Hanabi put in and wrapped her arms around Kaito's waist to keep him from falling over.
"My duties were assigned to you." Kaito responded and tried to push himself up only to feel a massive pain in his stomach. "You are the one who's servant I am. If you forgot? My father served your father… And Lord Hyuga ordered me to attend to you." Kaito said before Hanabi sighed and flicked her friend on the skull.
"OW!" Kaito hissed which made Hanabi smirk in amusement. "Why the hell did you do that!?" Kaito yelled, breaking the royal like tone he used.
"Because you always act like my servant and not my friend." Hanabi said and leaned backwards. "My father can be called Lord Hyuga. You've never once called me anything but my name." Hanabi said which made Kaito smirk.
"Would you prefer I call you princess punch?" Kaito asked to which Hanabi held up 2 of her fingers which crackled with charka. She smiled like someone about to gut a defenseless monster. Her closed eyes didn't help.
"Would you like another demonstration of my technique?" Hanabi innocently asked as Kaito's eyes widened in terror.
"NO, I'M GOOD, HANABI!" Kaito yelled which amused the Hyuga heiress as she stood up.
Hanabi helped Kaito to his feet and started to drag her friend towards an empty room so she could check his injuries.
Kaito sighed with annoyance. Hanabi was not someone you messed with, maybe she wasn't as powerful as her sister or cousin? But Kaito knew that Hanabi didn't need to be a super shinobi like Naruto or the others to be dangerous.
"Ow…." Kaito said with a wince as Hanabi rolled her whitely lilac eyes and leaned Kaito on the wall. "Please never use that move on me." Kaito said while leaning on the wall.
Hanabi said nothing and turned to her friend. Kaito hummed and clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth.
"You still didn't answer my question." Hanabi said while sitting across from Kaito.
Kaito cleared his throat and sighed before he tilted his head and looked at the Hyuga heir.
"What? About you taking over the clan?" Kaito questioned and hummed with amusement. "I'd still serve you like I have been. As I was pointing out, my father served your father for years." Kaito stated as he slowly climbed to his feet.
"That doesn't mean you serve me by default." Hanabi put in which caused Kaito to purse his lips together in a small smile.
"And what are you implying?" Kaito questioned Hanabi as he slowly pulled himself across the room. "That I SHOULDN'T serve you? You've been my friend for like 5 or more years. You seem to forget that I served in the Hyuga clan's forces during the war… Why do you act like I should walk away?" Kaito asked Hanabi who only sighed and rolled her eyes.
She didn't know why she was even discussing the issue of becoming the leader of the Hyuga clan. Kaito probably only cared about the fact that the fact that meant he was serving the master of the clan.
"You are hopeless." Hanabi said with a smile as another servant walked by. "I need you to contact the family physician." Hanabi ordered which got a bow from the servant walked.
Hanabi turned back to Kaito who was busy leaning on the wall. She walked over to him as Kaito turned to his friend.
"And yet you've been my friend for like a decade or so." Kaito responded and slid down the wall. "Besides, you know for a fact I'm not going to leave the clan over something like that. Did you want me to quit or something? I've been your partner, servant… Whatever your dad asks me to be. I don't complain about what I've been given." Kaito said to which Hanabi sighed and cupped her chin.
"Lady Hyuga?" Both Kaito and Hanabi heard from one of the servants behind them. "Lord Hyuga has requested you and your staff to meet with him after master Kaito has his wounds checked." The servant said in a way that made Kaito raise an eyebrow.
'Master Kaito? Do they have to make every person they talk to sound important?' Kaito mentally questioned himself as Hanabi nodded and waved the servant off.
"Your father wants to speak to both of us?" Kaito questioned and got a nod from Hanabi before he hummed.
Kaito blinked and hummed with amusement while holding his stomach.
Hanabi could only roll her eyes and sigh before waiting for the doctor to come. She would save gentle fist for when she was trying to kill someone.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that Hanabi and Kaito do have a… Unique bond. I also want to point out these chapters will be anywhere from 900 words to 3000. Next chapter will be in 2-10 weeks and will show Hanabi and Kaito meeting Hiashi and more bonding. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
