A normal day
Alex was sitting on the porch with Glenn and Maggie talking stuff Rick and Michhone joined them he smiled at them it had been a month since Deanna's death and she wanted to make sure everything and everybody was okay Alex had settled into the family role he spends two night with Glenn and Maggie and two night with Rick and Michhone
"So nice to you stealing down with Maggie and Glenn." Rick.
"It's only normal that they would want to spend time with the baby of course Maggie is the baby's aunt." Said Alex.
"yes, she looked happy." He said.
"Yes of course she is happy that she got some family that is the important thing." He said.
"me and Daryl or going on a run need anything?" He asked.
"No, not really but if you want to do something I can watch over the gates?" He said.
"No nothing really like that why don't you spend time with Rosita or something?" Said Rick.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
"Yes Maggie babysitting and Carl still recovering Michhone is watching Judith so why don't you have some fun." He said.
"Yer not too much fun." Said Daryl.
"Ass." He said.
"Yer English boy." He said.
"Hey, they list of things." Said Denise.
"Do you want to do a job for me?" Denise said to Alex.
"Sure what is it?" He asked.
"Just I need someone to do paperwork in the office nothing too major-like." She said.
"Sure what about Tara I thought she was helping you?" She said.
"Yea she is but I want extra pair of hands." She said.
"All right you got it." He said.
"Wow, you helping." Said Daryl.
"Yes, I have helped in the past." He said.
"No no, your style is all wrong Eugune." Said Rosita.
"Look we all can't be soldiers said Eugune." He said.
"No, but when someone you love almost dies! What can you do but just let them die? No, you fight with every single thing you got!" She said.
"Hey mind if I join in?" Asked Alex.
"Be my, my guest." Said Rostia
"Fine be me." He said flirting.
"Better." She said.
"On a scale of 1-10." To her.
"10." She said.
"I got a few houses for 2 nights." He said to her.
"Really," she said.
"Yes, date night?" He asked.
"Of course." He said.
Alex checked the pantry to make a dinner he saw Gabriel there. He became friends with him over the time he joined the group and he was a good guy and hangs out with him from time to time.
"Right then then what are you doing tonight?" He asked the young lad.
"I for a date." He said.
"Rosita Espinosa?" He asked.
"Yes." He said.
"So how do Maggie and Glenn feel about dating someone?"'he said.
"they're cool with it I wanted to double date." He said.
"And?" He asked.
"they will think about it."' He said.
"Look everyone has the right to move and be happy I mean you nice young lad with a daughter but do you think what do you think she has to say about all of this?" Asked Gabriel.
"Look I know what you're trying to say." He said.
"Look are you sure that you are okay with it because after Beth what was I supposed to do?" He asked.
"Have gotten over her?" He asked.
"Yes!" He said.
"Yes of course." He said.
"Where is this coming from?" Asked Alex.
"I thought everyone was dead i cried for everyone!" He said.
"Why doesn't Maggie say anything about it!" He said.
"Look it's not my place." He said.
"No, but I think," Gabriel said.
He stormed out he was angry about what Maggie and Glenn had to say about his love life he wanted to talk but Rick saw him before he could get there.
"hey stop." Said Rick.
"Why should I?" He said angrily.
"look what's up talk to me." He said.
"Maggie and Glenn have a problem with me dating." He said.
"Right I think you better come with me." He said.
Rick sat him down and michonne too. She had a few things to say they don't have a problem with him dating but they just wanted to clear the air.
"We don't have a problem but Maggie doesn't want this new love interest of yours you know the baby calling her momma." Said Rick.
"What?" Said Alex
"Okay, not in that sense." Said michonne.
"Why did Maggie just talk to me." He said
"She lost her sister and farther she bound to have some worry's about her." Said Rick.
"But I thought we were cool." He said.
"Why don't go up to your room and I will talk to Maggie." Said Rick.
"No this is my problem." Said Alex.
"No ours." Said Rick.
Alex went to up to his bedroom he slept for a bit he heard a knock on the door he saw Maggie there on her own.
"Hey, can we talk?" She's asked.
"no don't say anything." She said.
"you are family you and the baby how dear do your think that I hate you for dating I said Beth would want you to be happy you don't think that I hate you because I don't your family you and Florence." She said.
"Thank your family too." He said.
Maggie closed the door to let the young man sleep she was happy how she got everything off her chest with him and now she can do what is important.
"Hey proud of you." Said Rick to Maggie.
She opened the door to leave to go back to Glenn and her niece Alex woke up a few hours later he went back to the house to see Rosita there.
"hey." She said.
"Hey, you I haven't forgotten." He said.
"Good because I have things planned
for us." She said.
"Umm, what type of plans?" He asked.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" She asked.
Okay so in the next chapter we have a time skip to a few weeks after where Daryl meets Dwight and the Saviours so we are getting closer to Negan.
