Friends Forever
Disclaimer:whines Do I have to do this Agiiaaaan? I don't own nothing nohow.
A/n: I love writing these. I'll do at least one more after this.
Chris was starring at a blank white wall in his locker room. He hadn't really been the same since Eddie'd died, his wrestling declined and he wasn't sleeping. Life without Eddie, for Chris, was hell on earth. He hated it. Right now Chris hated everything and everyone. They just accepted the fact that Chris wasn't over it yet and gave him his space. When they tried to talk to him, he snapped and literally ripped their heads off. Chris was mad at the world.
He was listening to the radio, well not really until he heard a certain song.
My
old friend, I recall
The
times we had hanging on my wall
I
wouldn't trade them for gold
Cause
they laugh and they cry me
Somehow
sanctify me
Their
woven in the stories I have told
And
tell again
The memories, oh yes the memories. There were many memories of Eddie that had been floating in Chris's head for weeks, some good, some bad. Chris started to really cry, the first time since that RAW. Even then he hadn't let out his full emotions. Now he finally had.
My
old friend, I apologize
For
the years that have passed
Since
the last time you and I
Dusted
off those memories
But
the running and the races
The
people and the places
There's
always somewhere else I had to be
Time
gets slim, my old friend
Don't
know why, don't know why
Don't know why, don't know why
Chris didn't know why Eddie had been taken. His best friend in the entire world. The only man he shared his personal life with. The only man who knew his every mood and how to chill him out.
My
old friend, this song's for you
Cause
a few a few simple verses
Was
the least that I could do
To
tell the world that you were here
Cause
the love and the laughter
Will
live long after
All
of the sadness and the tears
We'll
meet again, my old friend
Goodbye,
goodbye
Goodbye,
goodbye
My
old friend, my old friend
Goodbye,
goodbye
Chris sighed. He realized he'd been acting like a child. Rey came in. He was going to try one more time to get through to Chris.
"Chris?" he asked uncertainly. He looked up and Rey saw the tears running non stop down his face. Rey sat next to him, he knew Chris had finally come through.
"Hey, its ok Chris, he's here. Remember, he's always watching us." Rey said soothingly. Chris nodded.
"Come on, everyone has been worried about you for weeks." Rey said, leading him out.

Eddie was up in heaven smiling. He knew that song would break through Chris's barriers. They'd always be friends and Eddie would always know how to pull Chris out of his little world if need be.
"Friends
forever."
