My first zelda fanfic, hope you like it
Malon sat at the next to the fountain at Market. She quietly watched as a girl at least three years younger than her chased a Cuckoo around. She began to call these people who did not know one thing about farm animals or how to take care of them, newbs. She then looked at the fountain; she let her hand drift in the water. Then she noticed a reflection, it was of a boy. She propped her head upward and looked at him. Green? Who wears green? She thought then looked around noticing the only other person wearing green was a guy with green pants. But nobody likes green pants man, but I've never seen this boy before.
Link felt frustrated, no one was listening to him he sat down at the fountain and swung his legs back and fourth. He felt time wasn't moving at all, just him and everyone else at some sort of distance.
"Hey" A female voice said.
Link being out of it thought it was Navi, "Not right now Navi, I'm thinking."
"Who's Navi?" The voice asked again. Link looked up; he met a pair of blue eyes. "You look lost or at least lonely…"
"Actually Ma'am I'm looking for the Princess." Link said, at the Malon burst into laughter. Not again, I don't want to be made fun of again! Link thought. "What's so funny about looking for a Princess?" Link asked.
"Nothing that wasn't what I was laughing at, well actually I was laughing at that…. A little…. To some extent…." Malon continued.
"Alright I get it, but what's funny about it?" Link asked.
"Well, actually there were several things funny about it, one is you called me Ma'am and it was funny to me because no one has ever really called me that, two you're not going to find the Princess at the Market, she lives in the castle. And three you just look really funny." Malon said expecting him to burst back at her however he still looked puzzled.
"…..and the fourth?" Link asked.
"Um there is only three…" Malon said quietly.
"But you said several"
"It's an expression, meaning many reasons."
"Three isn't that many."
Malon stuck her tongue out at him and then sat back down at the fountain. Link attempted to make his way off to the castle. However he remembered, he didn't know what a castle was. So after four seconds of walking he turned around. Malon was looking straight at him. She raised an eyebrow, what the heck is he doing! She thought. Link came strolling back his face flushed red from embarrassment.
"Um, what's a castle?" Link asked.
"…" Malon's jaw dropped farther than she thought it would He has to be joking with me there is no way someone could be this stupid! Before Malon could yell at him a fairy flew from out of Link's hat. Malon's eyes grew wide, "Oh how pretty!" She exclaimed. "You're form the forest aren't you? That's why you don't know anything!" Malon said happily while Link felt degraded for not knowing anything. "Sorry, I thought you were another snobby rich boy just fooling with me." She held out her hand, "My names Malon! Yours?" She asked.
"Uh Link…"
She frowned, "Hmm, I know I will call you Fairy Boy!"
"But what's wrong with-?"
She cut link off "Here I will show you the castle!"
