Lasalene watched expressionlessly as the royal siblings and Ramon approached the ship. They have already said goodbye to everyone. The whole kingdom came to wish them good luck.
She didn't know if she should be happy, because Ramon was very eager to go there, or to cry, because Edmund was going there too.
I don't know what awaits me, I don't know if I will return at all, she remembered the queen's words from the night before. And she took Edmund with her.
Lasalene frowned, angry. She was angry with the queen.
She must have done it to me on purpose. As punishment.
Lucy noticed her frowning maid.
" Edmund," she tugged at her brother's hand.
" Yes, Lucy, what's going on?" He asked anxiously. Did you change your mind? Doesn't she want me there? He saw a worried face in front of him.
Lucy glanced at Lasalene.
"You did not have time to say goodbye. Go, "she nodded.
" I said goodbye to everyone, who are you talking about?"
" Lasalene. She's sad. Run. I'll wait for you on the ship. "
Edmund smiled gratefully at his sister. He waited for him to step toward the ship, then headed for the maid. She was not a maid for him. She was an equal partner to him.
Her heart pounded as she noticed Edmund heading for her. She didn't know what was going to happen. Edmund grabbed her cheeks and kissed her. Then he hugged her tightly.
" Wait for me. I'll be back, "he whispered. He kissed her again and then stepped onto the ship.
Lucy watched from the ship. She sighed softly. Well, Ramon heard that.
" I'm not sure I understand what happened here now," he muttered.
" You don't have to understand that. That is love."
As soon as they bounced off the harbor, Lucy pulled into her cabin. She left command more experienced. Although she sailed the sea as often as possible, she didn't know all about it. She didn't want to interfere.
This was what she said to her brother, who asked where she was going. But that wasn´t truth at all.
Instead, she ran up the cabin and she was marching up and down in there.
" Okay, now we have ten days of sailing ahead of us, in case of good weather. Oh, Aslan, protect us, "she said to herself." I don't know what awaits us there, but protect us. "
Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock. She didn´t know how much time she spend there.
" Come," she called, standing against the door.
" Ma'am, King Edmund is calling you," one of the sailors told her.
" Of course, I'll be right there," she smiled at him.
" He'll be waiting for you."
Lucy nodded and waited for the door to close behind the sailor. Then she fastened a belt with a sword and with a dagger too.
She was stressed, yes. But on the other hand she was happy now. In pants, shirt, with sword and dagger. And most importantly, on the ship.
She had to smile to herself. No matter what Corin told her what he wanted, she didn't care. She was as she is and does not intend to change for some opinions.
With a fleeting smile, she stepped aboard and walked after her to the bow. From a distance, she saw Edmund, Ramon, and the captain of the ship discussing something. But when they noticed her, they said something to the captain and he left. Edmund nodded at his sister.
Ramon noticed the ease with which she walked around the ship. He knew she hadn't been at sea for about half a year, but the rocking of the ship from side to side didn't bother her at all. He almost felt like she was floating. He was never on a ship with her. But she was obviously in her element. Because she was smiling.
He sighed, happy to see a fleeting smile play on her lips again. The real one.
" Am I here what you need, Edmund?"
" We're addressing the question, of where to anchor near Felimath."
Lucy thought about it, remembering what it looked like there.
" Because we don't know what's going on there. It would be good to anchor on the north coast of Avra. Between this island and Felimath. Not very deep so that you can jump on the boat in case of great danger and sail away as quickly as possible. When we dock, we will send a message to the governor in Narrowhaven to let us know about us. "
" Somehow we imagined it," Edmund smiled.
" Look, Edmund!" Lucy called suddenly, pointing a finger in front of her. The sea people jumped above the surface and greeted the sailors. They knew who they were. They often sailed to the castle in a friendly spirit and talked to the people.
" Oh, how long ago I was not at sea," she laughed, honestly, full of joy, nodding at the sea people.
" I'm glad you're happy. And thanks to you, I'm happy too, "he hugged her around the shoulders.
" Really? And how? "
" Why did you send me to Lasalene?"
Lucy denied. Ramon stood quietly, watching the situation in front of him. He hadn't seen Lucy blush for a long time.
" You know, dear Edmund, I experienced what you and Lasalene experienced a few years ago. I know it's not good to resist, "she shrugged." Although I'm not thrilled that you chose my most faithful maid, but I know what it's like to be ... in love. "
" Did my little sister experience this? Why don't I know about it? "Edmund frowned.
" You don't have to know everything," she laughed and blinked at Ramon. She didn't know why, she just needed to do it.
" Oh and Lucy," Edmund began after a moment, a little less boldly. "I instructed Ramon to guard you here when I'm not around."
" You did what?" She whispered.
" I'm sorry, Lucy, but you're on a ship full of guys. Sometimes they get frustrated too, and they don't care if you're a queen or not. "
" Edmund!" She cried, but then quietly, if they didn't hear her. "Sometimes a woman can want it too."
The next two days were peaceful. The weather was good, no serious danger met them.
On the third day of their voyage, when Lucy was getting dressed in the morning, there was a knock on the door of her cabin. She knew well that only Edmund or Ramon could stick their noses into her cabin.
" The door is open"
" Good morning, Your Highness, your brother is waiting for you on ... oh ..." Ramon paused. Lucy smirked. She kind of hoped it would be Ramon. She was still standing on his back and didn't move at all, even though she was standing there. only in pants and boots. "Um, I mean ... your Highness, your brother is already waiting for you at the table. Well, you should dress Your Highness beforehand."
She wanted to laugh very much, but she held it back. She wanted to try it a little. Just to shorten long time.
She was very successful. If she told him to come at this point , he would go. He would rip her pants off too and ... He bit into his tongue. She is a queen, he is only her servant. He inhaled and exhaled.
" Thank you, Ramon, I'll be there as soon as I'm dressed," she looked over her shoulder. He bowed slightly and went out as quickly as possible and slammed the door behind him. He heard her laugh.
This little beautyful witch, with her cursed body, growled, trying to squeeze the image of his Queen on his bed out of his head. But the harder he tried, the more it sank into his mind. He doesn't know how he will survive this adventure. Maybe if her brother wasn't here, he'd try something. Save her heroically, and out of gratitude, she would give him a kiss first, then a hug, and then herself.
He had to laugh at his stupidity. He and save her? Rather, she will save his.
" Is there something funny, Ramon?" Edmund snatched him from his thoughts.
" No, Your Majesty. I just remembered one incident from my childhood when I was at sea with my father. "
" What happened?"
" In a friendly fight, his legs tangled in the ropes the moment he blew a very strong wind. At first he hung in the air for a while and then he fell into the sea, "Ramon laughed. Although it was true, it wasn't as ridiculous as his thoughts. But he couldn't think of anything better at that moment.
" Good morning, my royal brother," Lucy added. "You should have been at breakfast waiting for me."
" Good morning, my royal sister, I did not expect you to get dressed so quickly. It always takes a long time for you women, "he poked her in the shoulder.
" But me," she said, touched. "I'm no ordinary woman."
" Really? And what is so unusual about you? "
" That I can kick your balls very quickly," she smirked and raised an eyebrow.
"A bet?" Edmund straightened.
" If we win over what we have to defeat at Felimath, you will jump on the Avra from Ness to the sea," she smirked. She knew Edmund was afraid to jump off a high cliff jutting out over the sea. It's nothing dangerous. When she was younger, she jumped off Ness.
" Good. If you lose, you will swim underneath of Lesath. "he shrugged. He knew how well Lucy could swim, and that didn't bother her. When they were smaller and wanted to enjoy a day in the water, they cut a long time like that.
"Deal," they shook hands, holding swords in their hands in a moment.
Ramon looked at them with raised eyebrows and didn't understand anything. They wished good morning a while ago and immediately they were on strike and fighting. All the sailors ran around and also went on strike.
" Two lions to King Edmund," one said.
" Three on Edmund!"
" Three and two trees!"
" Four!"
They shouted over each other, mostly betting on Edmund, few dared to bet on Lucy. Ramon had an urge to bet on her, but for some reason it seemed more appropriate to keep his mouth shut, so he just watched in silence as Lucy threw herself into almost suicidal attacks with a smile and ease. She was more brutal every time someone bet on her.
Suddenly Lucy knocked the sword out of Edmund's hand. He stood in front of her with his hands in a defensive position. Lucy laughed. Ramon knew right away that she shouldn't have done it. Edmund took advantage of her second inattention and slammed her whole body into her. She staggered and fell aboard. The sword fell from her hand.
All the men fell silent, completely forgetting about their bets when they saw the two royal siblings fighting. With their fists, they kicked, pulled by the hair. They both punched each other several times. Edmund's lips was torn and Lucy's blood was running from his eyebrows. It was beginning to look like a real duel, not a friendly match.
Confused sailors looked around, waiting for someone to separate them or let them beat themselves to blood. Some glances also flew to Ramon. But he stood still, his eyebrows raised, watching the King and Queen. He knew from experience that both of them just needed to ventilate, and enter into their duel might not turn out well for him.
" Edmund, enough!" Lucy laughed. Edmund collapsed on board next to her and began to laugh as well. They were both short of breath.
Ramon dared to approach his siblings and shook both their hands.
" Looks like it, Your Majesty, it was a draw," he said. Edmund shook his head.
" Wow, you don't want to fight my little sister. I'll probably start to be afraid of her, "he told the sailors, and then hugged Lucy. She was as incredibly happy as she had long ago. She had the sea, the fighting, and the adventure ahead.
" Let's eat," Lucy smiled at her brother. She and Ramon walked into Edmund's cabin.
Lucy had no idea what respect she had earned from the sailors.
