Draco woke up tossing about and screaming. He felt around for the light switch and flipped it up. Breathing heavily he made his way to the bathroom. He put his mouth under the faucet and took a long drink. He pooled the cool, clear, water in his hands and splashed it onto his face. As he walked back into his room, he dried off his face. Draco lifted up his mattress to pull out his green and silver journal. In it he logged all of his dreams and all of his worries. On the silver part there were red slashes. He ran his fingers over them and counted the marks, 24. It had been a week since he had added one. He used his wand to open the lock and flipped to a clean page.
Tonight is February 23, 2006 and it is 2:06 A.M. I just woke up from a horrible dream. They were all there, Every last one of them, his followers, his minions. Their dark, red, eyes bore into mine. I will never forget His gaze, His dark lifeless gaze, and those black, glossy eyes. I shudder to think about it. It wasn't Voldemort, no it was someone much worse, someone with more power than old Voldie will ever have over me. It was father. He had looked at me with this horrible, evil, smirk on his face and nodded his head once. They all lunged at me and I ducked out of the way. Lucky for me, I woke up at this point. This isn't the first time I've had that dream. This is the furthest it has gone, though. I can take the rain on the roof of this empty house. That don't bother me. I can take a few tears now and then and just let them out. I'm not afraid to cry every once in a while. There are days every now and again I pretend I'm ok, but that's not what gets me.

He slipped under his blankets and tried to go back to sleep. Draco fell back into a restless slumber. Tomorrow he would catch the train to Hogwarts for another year at his 'safe haven.'
