The royals prologue
Here I am I finally I am about to become the Queen of Talina. I've waited my whole life to become queen. And today I'm getting coronated. "Princess Angelina" I hear my royal advisor and my best friend Lillian say. "It's time to get ready. "You may come in I have been up for hours" I say back to her. I hear her sigh and open the door. "You can't keep getting up before me it makes me look bad" she says. I laugh "okay okay I'll try". "Well since you've been up for hours I have your schedule for today".lillian says to me. I roll my eyes and sigh "okay give it to me".she goes on about my schedule up until 4:00 when my coronation happens. "We have to get started now to be on time" Lillian says.
First, I had to eat breakfast it was very delicious. but unfortunately, I only had 20 minutes to eat before I was abruptly whisked away from the table to the hairdresser to get my hair done. That took an hour. then after that, I was pushed to the royal tailor to get my dress for the coronation. Next, I had to get my makeup done. By that time it was 2:30 and I had only 1 hour to get ready to make a speech to my people. I had my speech ready but I had to get my nerves together. I can't seem weak when I become a queen. While I'm practicing I hear a knock on my door. "Can I come in emerald"? I hear my mother say." you can come in" I say back. She comes in with a beautiful blue dress. It was customary for the last queen to wear a dark blue to the new queen's coronation. She takes one look at me and starts tearing up." you look so beautiful emerald your father would be so happy". She then takes a seat at one of the chairs in my room." are you ready to make your first speech as queen?" "I think so but I am still nervous". "You should not be emerald you have grown to be a confident woman. I tear up and hug her." thank you for everything mother". "Your welcome my sweet child" my mother replies." but I think you should go visit your brother before you get coronated he most likely wants to speak to you".
After my mother leaves, I go to visit my twin brother in his room. I know what you may be thinking how is it that I get to rule but he doesn't 'well I was born 30 seconds before him so by law, I get the crown first. He told me that he would rather read his books anyway so we've never fought about it. I knock on his door 5 times in the form of our special knock. "Come in" I hear him say. When I walk into his room he is already dressed in his teal suit worn by the siblings of the up-and-coming monarch. "How are you doing dex"? I ask "shouldn't I be asking you that question"? Dexter replies. "Yes, but I asked you first so you are required to reply" I joke. "Okay well since it's your day I guess I have to reply" he sighs. "Okay well, I'm doing well but I would love to skip out on the big after-party though" "you know I can give you permission to leave after I become queen right"? I say to him "yeah I would rather you not use your queenly powers for me". He replies. "Fine fine I guess you will just have to suffer," I say while laughing. Well, I'm not the one who's almost late to her coronation". "WAIT WHAT" I hurriedly look at the clock on the wall. "HOW IS IT ALREADY 3:30 I HAVE TO GO" I run out of the room without even saying goodbye to my brother. But I know I will see him at the coronation. When I finally get to the throne room I am out of breath. I see my mother and Lillian there already." are you ready to go my princess" Lillian asks. "Yes," I say. When we walk out to the front garden there are already hundreds of thousands of people out there.
I see my brother out there standing behind the Priest. "Please repeat after me princess," the priest says. "I swear my loyalty to my people" I swear my loyalty to my people" I repeat" I will not use my power for evil " "I will not use my power for evil" I repeat "I will rule my people with honest and fair justice" "I will rule my people with honest and fair justice," I say repeat. "It is done please squat down princess," the priest tells me. I squat and feel something heavy on my head. "May I present t to you all the new queen- " the priest didn't get to finish when my brother got shot in his heart.
