Summary:
After his reunion with Hina, Hodaka has his reunion with Nagi.
"You know, after Neechan came back, I was angry with you for a while."
Hodaka was silent.
"You brought Neechan back, but you left again. You didn't fight to stay!"
"I was trying to do the responsible thing for once. So they'd leave you and Hina-san alone."
Nagi glided his hands over Hodaka's chest to reach the older's shoulders. "And now that you've graduated, you're back."
"According to the terms of my probation and the law, I'm a free man. I don't have to live with my parents anymore."
"And you think you can just hop on a boat and sail back into our lives?"
"That was the plan, I'd hoped." Hodaka wiped an escaping tear of Nagi's on the bottom of his wrist.
"You'll need to prove to me all over you deserve Neechan!"
"I know, Senpai." Hodaka let Nagi kiss him.
It'd been three years since Nagi last showed Hodaka the right way to kiss a girl. A secret kiss between teacher and student three summers ago. God.
Nagi was taller. Leaner. His arms were longer.
Nagi bit him.
"Ow! What?"
"You kissed Neechan, didn't you?"
Hodaka turned red. The easily embarrassed and romantically hopeless Hodaka Nagi remembered.
"On the walk to your guys' house."
"Sonofabitch, Hodaka! You're supposed to get my permission first!"
They broke into giggles together.
"You chose us, then?"
"Yes, I've chosen," Hodaka said resolutely.
They changed the world. Hodaka chose and his choice put Tokyo underwater.
Nature objected. The rain never stopped.
It was selfish and the world would judge him for his actions. For the choice he made.
But Hodaka didn't care who or what criticized him.
Nagi's approval notwithstanding, Hodaka finally felt in control.
