Odo the Hero

In HBP, Slughorn and Hagrid sing a song about a dying wizard called Odo. The only part we know of is the very last verse. I decided to write a version of the rest of it. I got the idea from BAGGE who wrote one as well. I own nothing, blah blah blah. The last paragraph/stanza/whateverwas written by JK Rowling. The rest I wrote.

Oh Odo the hero was helpful and kind
And was bravest in all the town
If his small town had been a kingdom
He would unanimously be offered the crown

He battled with vampires, he fought with trolls
Admirers came at him in fleets
Every man, women and child adored him
Which, he thought, was neat

There was rumor of a dragon
That would ruin the peace of all
When deciding who would kill it
It was young Odo of whom they called

The journey would be dangerous
The risk of death was vary
Yet Odo embarked willinglyon the mission
Of which others had been wary

He set off alone in the middle of the night
In search of the monsters lair
Odo himself was as brave as can be
And not at all was he scared

Odo, no coward was he
He fought valiantly to the end of his life
But early on he realized he was without hope
And was filled with sadness and strife

For not long after the fight had begun
His wand was broke clean in two
And from that moment on he knew it was over
He knew he was doomed, which was true

His friends went looking for poor dead Odo
Not too long after that
And found him dead as a doornail
With his wand and weathered hat

And Odo the hero they bore him back home
To the place that he'd known as a lad
They laid him to rest with his hat inside out
And his wand snapped in two, which was sad
