Author's note: Skipped Pokemon Journeys Episode 67
Ash, who aims to defeat the World Monarch, Leon, and Goh, who dreams of catching every Pokemon to work his way up to Mew, this is the story of their lovelife and adventures.
Goh's POV:
"There it is!" Ash said. "Professor Oak's Laboratory!" Said Goh. They had gone to Professor Oak's Lab in Pallet Town, Ash's hometown. "My, it has been a while. Have you two been well?" Oak asked them. "Goh, I don't believe I've seen you since the Cerise Laboratory inauguration event" he added. "Yeah, and we didn't get a good chance to talk that day" Goh said. "Goh, is this your first time here?" Ash asked. "No, I came here for a Pokemon Camp when I was six. That reminds me, we were all held up because someone was late" Goh answered. "Yeah, some people are like that!" Ash said. "Guess they overslept or something... Huh? Wait a sec... Oversleeping... When you were six..." Ash continued. "Maybe it was you all along, Ash" Oak said. "On that day I went to Pokemon Camp, I met Mew. And that's what inspired my dream!" Goh said. "Hmm? What sort of dream?" Oak asked. "To reach Mew, which is said to have the genes of al Pokemon... by catching every Pokemon!" Goh asnwered. "Ah, that's a marvelous dream. How many Pokemon have you caught so far?" Oak asked. "H-Have a look!" Goh said, as he showed Oak his Pokedex. "My, my, this is quite impressive. Suicune?!" Oak said, shocked. "Yeah! I caught it!" Goh said to him. "Very impressive!" Oak was impressed. "Ah, that's right... Goh, have you heard of Project Mew? A team to meticulously search for Mew is being set up, and they're recruiting. But you must complete all sorts of Trial Missions if you wish to become a member. If you're interested, I can recommend you" Oak told him. "Thanks for the offer, but I have to pass" Goh said. "What?! Why Goh?" Ash asked. "I don't really like being part of a team... Those missions or whatever don't sound appealing, either" Goh said. "Hmm... I thought it would present a good opportunity for you to meet trainers sharing your dream. Well, I won't twist your arm. Oh, right, Ash. Your Pokemon have been waiting to see you!" Oak said. After that, Ash and Goh went to Oak's Laboratory's Park to see Ash's Pokemon. "Huh, so those are Ash's Pokemon" Goh said, as he looked at Ash playing with his Pokemon. All of a sudden, he saw a stampede of Tauros running towards Ash, and all of Ash's Pokemon got out of the way, while Ash stayed still. The stampede hit him, sending him flying up in the air, then crashing down on his Muk, which broke his fall, and then trapped him inside it's sludgy body. "Are you okay?" Goh asked him. "Yeah! Totally fine!" Ash said, getting out of Muk's slimy body. Goh remembered he had his own Grimer, which evolved into a Muk. He surely had to trap Ash inside of Grimer at some point, too. That would be hilarious. "There's a point of concern though. I haven't seen Infernape for the last two or three days" Oak said. "Is that one of your Pokemon?" Goh asked. "Yeah" Ash said. "I was worried when he failed to turn up for his meals, so Tracey and I looked for him, but we couldn't find him anywhere" Oak said. "I wonder why..." Ash wondered. Oak explained that lately it had been training against fire type Pokemon, as Ash and Goh ran off to search for it. On their search, they met someone, who Ash knew. "Gary!" Ash said. "Long time no see, Ash and Pikachu" Gary said. "Yeah, it's been forever! But why are you here?" Asked Ash. "Nevermind that, aren't you going to introduce us?" Gary asked, as he looked at Goh. "Oh, sorry! He's a research fellow at the Cerise Lab, just like me" Ash said. "I'm Goh" Goh introduced himself. "That's a cute Grookey" Gary said, petting the Grookey on Goh's shoulder. "This is Gary, a childhood friend, and longtime rival!" Ash said. "Oh, right! Gary's grandpa is Professor Oak!" Ash added. "Huh?! Professor Oak?!" Goh said, shocked. "I was intrigued when I heard Ash'd found himself a buddy. Wondered what kinda guy he was" Gary said. "What kinda guy..? I'm just who I am..." Goh said. "It's not your personality I'm interested in. What I want to know is how skilled a Pokemon Trainer you are. If I'm supposed to accept that Ash has a buddy, he'd better be at least as good a trainer as me" Gary said. "What do you mean?" Goh asked. "I'm saying you're not qualified to be Ash's buddy" Gary said, smugly. "Gaaaah! Ash! What's wrong with this guy?!" Goh said, aggravated. Who was he to tell Goh what kind of a buddy he was? Goh wasn't even a "buddy" to Ash! He was more! At least, he hoped he was, or would be. "Oh, he always did this sorta stuff to me, too... By the way, Gary, what was that thing you mentioned?" Ash said. "The Legendary Pokemon, Moltres" Gary told them. "Moltres?" They both said in unison. "I analyzed the temperature, humidity, wind direction, and past appearances, and judged that Moltres is likely to appear in a valley near here" Gary said. "Huh, that's amazing!" Ash marveled. "I could have dne that, too, you know..." Goh said, trying to earn Ash's affection. "So, why are you here, Ash?" Gary said. "Oh, my Infernape, who I left at Oak's Lab went missing..." Ash said, both of them ignoring Goh's attempt to earn Ash's affection. "Do you have any clues?" Goh asked. "Seems before he left, he battled a lot of Fire Types" Ash said. "I see. Perhaps Infernape went to the valley I'm heading to. There's no time to waste, let's go" Gary said, and the two went on their way, Goh following from behind. "It's a pretty dangerous place. Will you be able to keep up?" Gary asked. "Of course!" Ash told him. "It's not you I'm concerned about..." Gary said, as he looked back at Goh. "If Ash can do it, then so can I!" Goh said. "Don't disappoint me now!" Gary told him. Gary was getting on Goh's nerves, not just because he was being rude, but the worst part is that he was slowly taking Ash from Goh! Goh was furious. He did not want to let anyone else have his precious Ash. The three of them wandered around, until finally they got to the valley. There, they found Ash's Infernape, which had come here to battle Moltres. "Infernape! We were worried about you!" Ash told it, as it jumped on him, knocking him on the ground. "You look like you're doing good..." Ash said, as he was being squashed by it. That's when they saw, the Legendary Moltres appearing. "Moltres! Battle us!" Ash challenged it, when he got off the ground. Moltres roared in return, as the three boys engaged it in a Raid Battle. They put up a great fight, but eventually Moltres overwhelmed them and flew away. It was a shame, Goh really wanted to catch it. He could infinitely embarrass Ash with a Fire/Flying Legendary Pokemon such as Moltres. Gary then knelt down, and picked up a feather from the ground, that had fallen from Moltres during their match. "This was my objective" Gary said. "Goh, did you get a video of Moltres?" Ash asked. Goh somehow didn't. "I was sure I pressed the Record button..." Goh sighed. "That's not like you, Goh" Ash said, subtly hinting at Goh recording Ash's torment, without letting Gary know. "You can't rush such things" Gary said. "Mind your own business!" Goh argued. Gary knew nothing about Goh, he had no right to talk to him that way! Gary then put Moltres's feather in a glass container, and a Corviknight carried it away. After that, they all went back to Oak's lab. When there, Ash and Goh saw that Gary was on the phone with somebody. "Who's he talking to?" Ash asked. "To tell you the truth, Gary is taking part in Project Mew" Oak told them. "Huh? Then, does that mean...?" Goh asked. "Yes. It looks like his Trial Mission was to acquire Moltres's Feather" Oak said. After Gary got off the phone, he turned to Goh. "Goh, I hear you declined an invitation to Project Mew" Gary said. "That's a wise decision! A trainer at your level could never pass the missions" Gary continued, annoying Goh. "Well then, I'll be off again, Grandfather" Gary said. "Take care out there. And come visit if you're ever nearby" Oak told him. "I will. See you Ash!" Gary said, turning to Ash, as he held out his hand, and then Ash held it. They were holding hands, right in front of Goh. He was furious. Gary, that jerk! Trying to take Goh's precious Ash away from him! And right after insulting Goh, too! Goh couldn't take it. He wanted to snap and attack Gary right then and there, but couldn't do that in front of Ash. Thankfully, Ash and Gary eventually stopped holding hands, and Gary walked away, leaving. 'Good' Goh thought. Gary thought he was better at Goh at everything! He tried to take Ash from him, he's trying to take Mew from him by joining Project Mew... Goh wouldn't let him have either! "I'll do it. Project Mew!" Goh said. "Goh! I'll cheer you on with everything I've got, too!" Ash said, smiling at Goh. "Thank you, Ash!" Goh said, smiling as well. "Yes. Gary will be pleased" Oak said. "Huh? Why?" Goh asked, confused. "Provoking you was likely his way of expressing that he'd like you to take part" Oak explained to Goh. "Then he should've just said that! He can never be honest about how he feels!" Ash joked. That's when Goh realized, he had totally misread Gary. Gary wasn't to take Mew, or Ash, from Goh. He simply wanted Goh to go after both of them. How Gary knew about Goh's feelings towards Ash were unclear, but Goh knew Gary was smart, he could've figured it out. "I... kind of feel like he completely beat me. Either way, there's only one thing I now know! Right now, I can't beat him! So I'm going to try harder! And then, the future will be in my hands!" Goh said, as he jumped up in joy. "I'm so happy for you Goh!" Ash said, smiling. After that, Ash and Goh slept at Oak's Lab, as they didn't have time to get back to the Cerise Lab before dark. "I'm really happy you're taking part in Project Mew, Goh" Ash told him, slightly blushing for some reason. "I'm excited for it, too" Goh told him, as they both changed into their pajamas. They used to change in private, but at this point, Goh had seen Ash in his underwear too many times for him to care, and Goh didn't mind Ash getting to look at Goh in his panties. "I'll be cheering you on every step of the way!" Ash said, as he reached out his hand to hold Goh's. "Thank you, Ash. It means a lot" Goh said, as the two held their hands together. Goh, getting close to Ash's face, grinned. "Say, Ash... are you wearing makeup?" Goh teased, having kept a secret that he knew about Ash's secret. Ash's face immediately turned pink from embarrassment, which Goh was glad he was secretly recording with his Rotom Phone. "I- uh- no- I- um- of course- I- don't- not- I- uh- I- I..." Ash said, turning pink from embarrassment and sweating. "I- Uh... YES!" Ash admitted, as he jumped up in the air, then fell down and cowered, trying to hide his embarrassment from Goh. "I like it" Goh told him, which then made Ash stop cowering, as he looked at Goh with joy. "You... um... look cute... with it..!" Goh said, trying to compliment Ash without giving away his true feelings for him. "...Thank you!" Ash said, as he rushed over and hugged Goh. "I..! Uh..." Goh said, shocked. He had no idea what to do in this situation. But he knew what he wanted to do, and did it. He hugged Ash back, and the two shared their first hug, which Goh hoped would not be their last. Goh was happy he was recording it, as well. After a minute, Goh was sad as he and Ash let go of each other. "Say, Goh... would you like to wear makeup?" Ash asked. "Huh?" Goh said. "I- uh... I could teach you! Uh.. if you wanted to, that is..." Ash said, having turned red from blushing. Seriously, why was Ash blushing? Goh had no idea. "Um... sure! Someday... I'll think about it..!" Goh said, also blushing. "Okay! I think you'll really like it! You are wearing panties, after all" Ash said. "Yeah, I guess... good night!" Goh said, as he went to bed. "Good night, Goh" Ash said, and they both fell asleep.
