The handcuff bit into the Doctor's wrist. He stretched out towards River, towards something to stop her. She was going to die. This was Greyn's mum. There wasn't a little boy alive who wouldn't tear the world apart to save his mummy.

But there was one mystery. "River, you know my name. You whispered my name in my ear. There is only one way I would ever tell anyone my name. There's only one time I could. And… you're Greyn's mum."

"Hush now. Spoilers." She pressed the pieces of metal together, and he had to look away from the light.
