Chapter 24

a/n and here we are, you and I on the last page. thank you dearly for reading this far. it means a lot. there are many gaps in Greyn's story, like the lack of 11th doctor, Clara, and Martha. but i've decided to end here. again, thanks. :3

In a galaxy far, far away, the prisoner of cell 3374921 circled around the maze of metal cages, timing everything down to second. 12:43 = northeast corner, facing west, checkpoint 7. Good. They'd be back in their cell by 3:21.

Somewhere nearby-ish (space is relative) (around 3:17) (time is also relative)

The Doctor walked through the metal labyrinth of the prison. She passed one of the silence. "Hey, I forgot you were here."

"What about this face?" the Doctor turned. "Remember this?"

"Jack?" The Doctor ran to the cage. "Jack!"

"I knew you would look better in these colors than me!" he held up a hand to salute. "Hello, Doctor."

"What are you doing here?"

"What do you think I'm doing here? Breaking you out."

He held up a blue ball. "Temporary freezing gateway disinhibitor bubble. Catchy, right? If it were me, I'd have called it a breakout ball. Freezes time temporarily, breaks through walls, only problem is it doesnt last long." he squeezed down on the ball, and a blue aura expanded around him. He hopped through the metal wall.

"Have you had work done?" the Doctor questioned.

"You can talk! Now shut up and run."

Cell 3374921, 3:21.

The alarms were blaring as the door slid shut behind them, shading the small cell in red light. They crossed the room, sitting down and swinging their legs back and forth. Nothing to do now but wai-

"C'mon, we've only got a few minutes before they catch up with us!" The Doctor and Jack warped into the space in front of them.

"You actually came." They hopped off the cot, taking Jack's outreached hand.

"Of course we came for you, kid." Jack smiled at them.

"Will you introduce us?" the Doctor edged in.

The prisoner raised an eyebrow. "Really? You don't recognize me?"

"Greyn?"

Greyn smirked. "The one and only."
