The Test
"Is it ready yet!" whispered a frustrated voice.
The phone-line was deafeningly silent, as if the man on the other end was dead. Although through the silence, a desperate distraught voice could be heard, cowering in fear.
"Y-Yes sir! It's all b-been arranged!" he whimpered, he knew who was in charge, and it wasn't him…
The phone-line once again, became silent, as the man took a long puff of his cigar. The silvery smoke seeped out his mouth, and begun it's journey to the ceiling, twisting and spiralling high above.
"Get me the boy as soon as possible…we need him"
With a quick clunk! the phone line went dead.
Professor Capnad didn't enjoy speaking to The Boss, he found it rather terrifying. Especially since this was a major experiment, he couldn't fail.
Otherwise he'd pay the price…
