As soon as she was in the Diner she spotted Grace and Chat Noir. It wasn't hard to find them, the presence of Chat Noir had everyone intrigued, almost all of the people in the Diner were staring at them. Marinette could tell Chat was uncomfortable with all of the pairs of eyes staring, normally he would bask in the attention but it seemed that he didn't like people getting glimpses of his personal life. What Marinette didn't understand was why he didn't set up a grand gesture like he does with Ladybug, he could have avoided all of the onlookers.

I guess he doesn't do the grand gestures for just anyone, he must really love Ladybug! Marinette thought, her chest puffing up in pride.

At a second glance she realized Alya was there too, she must be getting content for the Ladyblog.

A girl came up to Marinette, she was wearing the worker uniform, "Are you here to watch Chat Noir like everyone else?" She asked.

"No, I don't take much interest in other people personal lives, I find it rude to spy." Marinette lied.

The girl gave her a suspicious look but continued to speak, "Ok, I'll just seat you then."

"No need, I have a friend sitting down already." Marinette said pointing to the table Alya was at.

"You're friends with Alya Césaire?! She's like the most famous blogger in all of Paris!"

"I know, she's gotten pretty popular!"

"That's so cool...!" The girl said about to say more until her boss called her to the back.

Marinette walked over to the small booth Alya was at and sat down.

"So how's operation digging some dirt going?"

"Hey girl, I didn't know you were coming! Anyway, This date is a bust, they haven't done anything but eat and have awkward conversations. I guess I can work off that and say the date isn't going well, at this rate my viewers are going to be majorly disappointed in my content!" Alya said giving a small glare to the newfound couple.

Alya started to film, "It's just in! The date is a complete fail, at least so far, will they give us anything entertaining to watch or are they going to let their date go in the gutter?! Bye peeps, more updates later!" She said turning the camera off.

"So, how's Ladybug feeling about this?" Alya pried.

"She is completely fine with it, and for your information she's the one who told Chat Noir to go for it!" Marinette said with her nose in the air with irritation.

"You did what?! Girl, you're going to miss your chance, how can you not see you like him! To tell the truth I think Chat only went on this date because you told him to, he's probably over getting rejected all the time and didn't want that to happen to the girl!"

"You know I can't except his date proposals, I don't like rejecting him, it's just, I love..."

"Adrien, I know, but you have to get over him, he just keeps friend zoning you. He's unintentionally hurting your feelings, and I don't like one bit of it. You know I'm the biggest Adrienette shipper, but I think it's time for LadyNoir to shine!" Alya said waving her hand in Chat Noirs direction in emphasis.

"That would work, if I liked Chat Noir!!!"

"But you do!"

"Stop saying that! I don't have a crush on Chat Noir!"

"Ugh, your as blind as Adrien!" Alya said slapping the palm of her hand to her four head in frustration.

Why does everyone say that? First Tikki, now Alya! And how dare she say that about Adrien! It's a good thing she's my friend!

"Adrien is not blind! He's kind, and charming, and his emerald green eyes glimmer in the sun!..." Marinette said dreamily her head far in the clouds.

"Chat Noir has all of those things, and there's something even better about him, he's a superhero!!!" Alya said pulling her back down into reality.

"I'm a superhero, but that doesn't make me special!"

"I've been one multiple times, trust me it does!"

Marinette's four head was in a hard line for her dislike of being wrong.

Suddenly Alya grabbed Marinette's head and turned it towards Chats vicinity, "Now tell me the honest truth, do you like him!"

Marinette looked at him in concentration pulling at her distance feelings deep in her heart, there was a flicker there a tiny spark gradually growing bigger. Before it could reach Marinette's rational brain cells the brain cells of denial snuffed it out with vigor. Marinette's softened eyes turned bland in friendship, and her parted lips closed with them, her whole expression radiated "friend" but behind all the denial was love.

"Honestly, no, I don't, other than immense feelings of friendship, I don't feel anything for him." Marinette said in a calm voice with just a hint of doubt.

"Ugh, you're impossible!" Alya said a little to loudly.

Half of the Diner turned to stare, there expression's filled with curiosity. Along with the rest Chat Noir turned as well, upon seeing Marinette his mouth moved into the genuine smile happy to see a friend.

"Hi Marinette!" He said with no qualms of embarrassment.

Marinette highly embarrassed, her face turned red as she sunk in her seat, "Hi" she said her voice high pitched and squeaky, which made her blush more upon hearing it.

Chat Noir continued to smile at her until Grace put her hand on his arm grabbing his attention. Marinette scowled, how dare she interrupt, he was talking to me!, she thought.

Alya gave her a pointed look, Marinette looked at her with a blank face not understanding, "How you don't see it only God knows!" Alya said, her brows draw together in annoyance.

Marinette gaze wandered finally landing on Chat Noir and Grace, her stomach sank, she felt like little stones of emotions pelted her insides. She had the feeling of jealousy hit her the most, she didn't understand why she was feeling this way but one things for sure, she didn't like it, and she was going to put a stop to it.

The waitress walked up to the table and asked what they would like to eat, a jealous Marinette stood and spoke to the woman with a clipped voice.

"Nothing, I'm not as hungry as I was before", she turned to Alya and said,"Get what you want I'm leaving, your welcome to join me!"

"Nah, I'm going to stay, someone's gotta update the people, and it might as well be me!" She said denying the offer.

"Ok, bye then!" Marinette said waving goodbye.

"Bye!"

Marinette rushed to the door trying to get ahold of her emotions, "Well that was something!" She heard Tikki say from her bag.

"Tell me about it!"

As she was walking out the door, she stumbled and tripped, distracting her from the task of keeping calm. Just as her emotions were escaping her tight hold, she saw a black butterfly wiz toward her.

"An Akuma!!!" Tikki and Marinette said in unison.
