Anyways, on with the chapter!
Three days had passed since Denki had started living with the Olivers and had been enrolled at the Silver Guardians Academy and a three things had happened since then.
The first thing to happen was that Denki got to know the other Dino Rangers a little better. The second thing to happen was Jason had returned from San Angelas so he'd be meeting with the rangers today.
The third thing to happen however...
"Who is that Orange Ranger?!" Yells Conner in his Ranger suit as Ethan, Kira, and himself chased after him.
That was the question that had been going through the minds of the Dino Rangers for the past two days.
Apparently someone had found and bonded with the Orange Dino-gem and was stopping minor crimes such as theft and attempted muggings.
This wouldn't be bad. Except for the fact that it wasn't properly energized and there was no morpher built yet. Meaning that whoever had the gem didn't have full control over their Ranger Powers or their genetic power.
At the moment the three teenaged rangers were trying to catch up to the Orange Ranger to try and talk to him with very little luck.
After a few more minutes of chasing the Orange Ranger, they lost sight of him.
"We lost him again!" Yells Kira. This was the third time
That's when Dr.O calls them back to the base.
Once the rangers were back at the base they discuss what to do next.
"Okay, who is that guy and how is he able to keep getting away?"
"We don't know. What we do know is that the Orange Dino-gem isn't 100% connected to the Morphin grid yet so this could be dangerous for whoever is bonded to that gem." Says Dr.O
"There is some good news though." Says Hailey as she and Demiyah walk over to the group.
"Yeah. We finished building the Dino-gem tracker."
"That's good at least. Now we can track down the missing Dino-gems." Says Kimberly
"Before anything else. How many Dino-gems are there?" Asks Conner.
"Well. We currently have the Red, Blue, Yellow, Black, and Purple gems. That means that we still need to find the Pink, Green, White, Orange, Teal, Gold, and Silver gems." Explains Hailey.
"Lets try to find the Pink Dino-gem first since it's the most powerful." Kimberly says as Hailey begins hooking the device up to the bases computers.
"Wait. I thought the Dino-gems were all equal in levels of power." Says Kira.
"The Pink Dino-gem is stronger because it's the physical representation of the pink part of the Morphin Grid."
The group looks to where the voice had come from to see another old friend.
"Uncle Jason!" Says Demiyah happily as she runs over to hug her godfather and honorary uncle.
"Hey Jason. Says Dr.O as he walks over to give his closest friend a high-five.
"Pretty good." Says Jason as he accepts the hug and the high-five.
At the same time, the three teens looks at Jason in shock.
"You must be Conner, Ethan, and Kira. It's nice to meet the new rangers." He says as he hold his hand out to shake.
Conner then snaps out of his shock and shakes Jasons hand and introduces himself with Ethan and Kira following his lead.
"Any luck finding the Pink Dino-gem you two?" Asks Dr.O
"Yeah. But it's not good luck, the gem is on Mesogog's island base." Says Hailey as she looks over the location on the map.
"What? How did they get it?" Asks Kira.
"Not sure. But I don't think we can break into Mesogog's base again so soon. We'll need to prepare." Says Hailey.
"Hailey's right. We're better off looking for another Dino-gem." Says Dr.O
"Try locating the Green Dino-gem. We have a potential candidate for it." Says Kimberly.
"You mean Denki? I know he's the potential Green Ranger, but he's still a bit young." Says Jason.
"True. But Justin was 10 when he became the Blue Turbo Ranger. Not to mention he's been receiving training from Adam and Trini." Demiyah reminds her Godfather/ Uncle.
Jason sighs at that.
"Fair enough."
"Besides, we haven't built the morpher yet." Says Demiyah.
"We should probably do that then. According to the scans the Green Dino-gem is in the forest in your backyard." Says Hailey.
"Wait, what?" Says Demiyah as she looks to the computer to see what Hailey is talking about.
"She's right! How did we not notice that?!" Asks Demiyah in shock as she checks for an exact location.
"It's probably because of the other Dino-gems. Anyways it looks like it's pretty close to the base." Says Hailey
"What are we waiting for then? Lets go retrieve it before Mesogog and his goons find it." Says Conner.
With that the three Dino Rangers head out to retrieve the gem while Dr.O, Kimberly, Hailey, Demiyah, and Denki stayed behind to be mission control and to track down the other Dino-gems. The orange gem being the top priority.
"So, any luck finding the orange Dino-gem?" Asks Denki
"Sort of. According to this it's located at these co-ordinates." Says Hailey as she shows them the location of the Dino-gem.
"Wait. That's the Silver Guardians Academy here in Reefside!" Says Demiyah.
That's when she notices something. She had recently started getting headaches whenever she went to the Academy for class because of her empathic abilities. What if the reason she was getting headaches was because of the Orange Dino-gem?
That's when she remembered that one of the classmates, Takuya was having headaches as well.
"Mom, Dad, Uncle Jason? I think have a clue as to who the Orange Ranger is." Says Demiyah as she kicks herself for not thinking about it earlier.
The three adults mentioned look to to Demiyah with undivided attention.
"You do?" Asks Jason.
"Yeah, I think it might be Takuya Kanbara." Admits Demiyah
"Why didn't you say anything earlier?" Asks Kimberly
"Because I didn't realize it was him. Three days ago I started getting headaches whenever I was at the academy and now that I think about it Takuya started having them as well." She admits.
"It must be because of the gem. It probably tried to give him either Telepathy or Telekinesis but can't give him the abilities because it isn't completely connected to the Morphin Grid yet." Explains Dr.O as those in the group began looking through the possibility of Takuya being the Orange Ranger.
"Hey, we're back and we've got the Green Dino-gem." Says Conner. The three teens had come back a few minutes later, showing them the Green Dino-gem.
"What's going on? Asks Kira.
"Demiyah has a lead on the Orange Ranger." Says Kimberly
"I'll call Adam and tell him to keep Takuya for a meeting." Says Jason calling Adam on his communicator.
"Who's Takuya?" Asks Conner.
"He's one of Demiyah's classmates and possibly the Orange Ranger." Explain Jason.
"That doesn't seem right. Wouldn't he be shorter than the Orange Ranger?" Asks Conner
"Didn't the Turbo Rangers have a kid ranger who, when morphed was the size of an adult?" Asks Kira.
"Yeah, I remember that too." Says Ethan.
"You mean Uncle Justin?' Yeah, that did happen whenever he morphed back then." Demiyah confirms.
"Anyways. He might have found the gem and bonded with it by accident. But since it's not connected to grid properly it's giving him a headache. A headache Demiyah was able to pick up on." Says Kimberly
"Should we go find him then?" Asks Conner.
"No need, we're all going to the Reefside Silver Guardians Academy to talk to him." Says Jason.
Once they were all at the Academy the three teens look at it in amazement.
"Wow. This place is huge!"
"No kidding." Says Ethan as he looks at the building in awe.
"So where do we go from here?" Asks Kira.
"Adam's waiting for us in the office with Takuya." Says Jason as he walks into the building the other following suit.
They eventually get to the office where they see Adam waiting in front of the door.
"Good to see you Adam." Says Dr.O high-fiving Adam.
"Good to see you too Tommy." Says Adam high-giving Dr.O back.
"Where's Takuya?" Jason asks.
"He's inside. I haven't told him what this is about yet. I though it would be better to wait for you to get here before explaining this to him." Adam admits.
"Smart move. Demiyah and Denki can talk to him about this once we're done our part." Says Dr.O
Adam then turns his attention to the three teens.
"You must be the new rangers. It's nice to meet you, my name is Adam Park.
The three teens then shake hands with him.
"Shouldn't we go talk to Takuya?" Asks Ethan
Jason nods his head in agreement.
"Yeah, lets go talk to him." Says Kimberly.
With that, they go into the office where Takuya is waiting.
