Anyways on with the chapter!
Once they go inside the office they see Takuya sitting in one of the chairs waiting for them.
"Mr. Scott, why did you want me to stay after soccer practice today? I'm not in trouble am I?" Takuya asks.
"No Takuya, you aren't in trouble. We just want to talk to you about something." Jason explains.
Takuya nods his head in understanding.
"Takuya, we know you're the Orange Ranger. All the adults in the room have been Rangers at one point or another as well." Demiyah says rather bluntly.
All the adults wince at the blunt tone while Takuya, Denki and the three teens stares at her with his mouth agape since they've never seen her be this blunt before.
"How did you know I'm the Orange Ranger?" Asks Takuya.
"Your Dino-Gem, the gem you found that allows you to become the Orange Ranger, was giving you a headache that I picked up on because of my empathic abilities." Explains Demiyah
Takuya nods his head. He wasn't new to people having special abilities, he himself having the ability to summon and manipulate fire at will.
"Okay, I get that but why was it giving me a headache?"
"The Dino-gem gives the user a special Genetic Power that is separate from an X-gene or Meta-human gene. However I think you've noticed you have trouble staying morphed right?"
"Yeah, it's why I dash off so quickly." Explains Takuya.
"The reason for that is because the Gem doesn't have a stable connection to the Morphin Grid. As such it gave you a headache and prevented you from staying morphed. Though the morphing problem is also because you don't have a morpher for the gem." Explains Demiyah.
Takuya nods his head in understanding.
"So what do I have to do to stabilize the Dino-gem?" Takuya asks.
"Before we do that, we want you to go through some training first." Explains Jason
"Why? I was doing fine before."
"There are two different reasons for this. Reason one, training whenever you can helps you stay fit and helps you prepare. Reason two, your Dino-gem isn't completely energized yet, this means that it isn't at 100% power yet.
Takuya thinks over what he's been told before asking another question.
"So what now?"
"First we want to see the Dino-gem you found." Says Adam.
Takuya agrees and shows them the Orange Dino-gem.
The three teens look at it in surprise.
"Uh, is it supposed to be glowing like that?" Asks Ethan.
"No. It's glowing because its connection to the grid is insecure." Explains Adam.
After Jason, Zack, and Trini had left for the Peace Conference Adam had taken Trini's place in assisting Billy with his experiments. So he had some knowledge about how this worked.
"So how do we secure its connection? Asks Conner
"We'll need the Pink and Gold Dino-gems. But with the Pink gem in Mesogog's grasp we'll need to track down some of the other gems first." Explains Demiyah
"We have the Green Dino-gem. So once Denki's training is complete he can start working with us." Says Kira.
"Anyways, we might have to tell Takuya's parents what's happening since they'll begin wondering where there son has been disappearing to." Says Dr.O
"Actually, I'm still waiting for a caretaker since my parents decided to send me here since the Silver Guardians Academy branch in Japan isn't open yet." Explains Takuya.
Dr.O and Kimberly turn to Jason and Adam to confirm what was said and they nod their heads.
"I could be the caretaker if you need." Says Hailey.
"You sure Hailey?" Asks Adam
"Yeah. I'm sure." Says Hailey with a tone leaving no room for argument.
"Okay then. So starting tomorrow Takuya will be joining Demiyah and Denki in training with Adam and Trini." Says Jason.
"Before we go we need to borrow the Orange Dino-gem so we can build the morpher for it." Explains Demiyah.
Takuya reluctantly hands the Gem over to Demiyah who pockets it.
"Look on the bright side. With Gem not near you your headache will go away." Says Demiyah
Takuya felt a bit of relief hearing that. The headache he had was getting unbearable!
Once the the talking was finsished Jason called Conner, Ethan, and Kira over for a conversation.
"Is everything alright ? Asks Kira.
"Yes everything is fine. But I have to talk to you three about something.
"What is it?" Asks Ethan.
"I just wanted to let you know that once you get into your senior year you have the option to join the Silver Guardians Academy." Explains Jason
"Are you serious?" Ethan asks in shock.
"No joke. Conner you have the highest grades in the PE, and Language fields. Ethan has the highest grades in the Science, Computer Programming, and Math fields. You Kira have are at the top with your music, reading and also have one of the highest grades in Language classes.
Ethan and Kira then turn to Conner.
"You speak other languages?" Asks Ethan.
"My family happens to be fluent in different Languages. I speak English, French, and Japanese." Explains Conner
Kira nods her head at that.
"Makes sense. You said your family has a tendency to join the military. So your family would take the time to learn other languages."
"Anyways I'll think about it. But I'll have to talk to my parents about it." Says Conner.
"Same here. Says Kira
"I think my parents would be fine but I'll have to ask them." Says Ethan
Jason nods his head.
"Alright. I'll have letters sent out at the end of the school year, so look out for that."
The three teens nod their heads.
"You three should probably get going."
He's right, we need to get back to our homes." Says Kimberly.
"Especially since it's Sunday." Says Dr.O
"Alright, lets get going then." Says Conner.
With that the group left Jason and Adam after Hailey filled out the necessary forms and went back to the vehicles they came in and headed back to Dr.O, Kimberly, and Demiya's house.
A few hours later Conner, Ethan, and Kira went home to their families, Takuya went with Hailey while Denki, Demiyah, Kimberly and Dr.O were talking.
"What are your thoughts on the Orange Ranger?" Asks Kimberly.
He's seems okay. Though from what I've seen he's a bit like how Carlos used to be." Says Dr.O.
"That reminds me, when is Uncle Carlos going to be here?" Asks Demiyah.
"He'll be here in about 3 weeks."
"What did he find out?"
"He won't say until the other Astro Rangers and himself are back at base." Dr.O explains
"That means it isn't good news." Says Demiyah with a groan.
"Look on the bright side. Carlos will get the chance to talk to the new rangers." Says Kimberly.
"Fair enough. Anyways, I'm going to head to bed now." Says Demiyah as Denki, her parents, and herself go to their rooms to get ready for bed.
Unknown to them that the next 3 weeks would bring many developments.
