Anyways, on with the chapter!
The rangers sat and discussed what they had learned while Dana called Rocky to let him know about Tyson.
"So Mr. Desantos has a son?" Questions Kira.
"Yeah, he does." Says Kimberly.
"How come we're only learning about this now? Asks Conner.
"The reason you haven't heard of him is because he's been missing for 9 years." Says Tyrone
"How'd he disappear?" Asks Ethan.
Kimberly hesitates, but answers to the best of her ability.
"Back 1994 Rocky met a girl named Sharon Firus and they ended up falling in love. Eventually Sharon ended up pregnant with Tyson after Rocky took Jason's place as the Red Ranger. After he was born, Tyson was kidnapped from the hospital by an unknown person. A missing persons report was filed by them, we assume it was swept under the rug because they were both teenagers." Explains Kimberly
"What about Sharon Firus? Why haven't we heard of her?" Asks Kira.
"She disappeared after Master Vile turned back time and turned us back into children. We assume that she's from another world or dimension." Says Kimberly
"What makes you think that?" Asks Ethan
" Well, there were no records of her existence in any database until Zordon and Alpha got involved. Another reason we suspect this is because of S.H.I.E.L.D." Kimberly says, getting a bit of a sour tone when mentioning the organization.
"S.H.I.E.L.D?" Asks Conner
"Strategic. Hazard. Intervention. Espionage. Logistics Dictorate. They are essentially a part of the government that handle paranormal threats." Explains Kimberly.
"Why does that make you suspect Sharon's from a different dimension?" Asks Denki.
"They have technology that allows them to detect inter dimensional rifts and anomalies. In 1994, they tried to take Sharon into custody under the claims that she was a terrorist. We assume they figured out that she wasn't from this dimension." Says Tyrone
"There was also that weird lingo that she used." Says Kimberly
"How did Sharon avoid getting taken by them then?" Asks Denki
"Tommy ended up morphing into the Green Ranger and threatening them with a Dragonzord rampage." Explains Kimberly
That makes the younger rangers shocked.
"Okay three questions. One, how did Dr.O morph into the Green Ranger? Two, how were you guys not made criminals after that stunt? Three, they didn't mess with ranger business again did they?" Asks Conner
"Well, I wasn't around yet and Tommy was still the holder of Green Coin, so he was able to use what energy was left to Morph." Explains Tyrone.
"As for the other two question, the actions S.H.I.E.L.D took were in direct violation of the Equal Rights act, which was created earlier that year and they messed with us again back in 2001 when they savaged some of the technology in the Cyborg Rangers to make weapons to use." Says Kimberly
The younger rangers look disgusted at the though of those cyborgs being used for anything else.
"How did you find out about that?" Asks Ethan.
"The Time Force Rangers let us know and we took proper action and confiscated all the tech. Nick Fury was furious." Says Kimberly
"Who's Nick Fury?" Asks Kira.
"He's the director of S.H.I.E.L.D and the one responsible for ordering the attempted kidnapping of Sharon AND the theft of the Ranger tech." Explains Tyrone.
"Please tell me he got in trouble for that." Says Tiernan, already despising the man.
"Yeah, he now has to report directly to the U.N for any action he takes." Says Kimberly.
"That's good at least." Says Kira.
"How do you think Mr. Desantos is going to take the news?" Asks Denki.
"Knowing Rocky, he'll be excited and relived to see that his son is okay." Says Tyrone
"What about when he finds out that he's the Silver Ranger and that the people who were raising him might've been hurting him?" Questions Tiernan
" Well I think he'll understand Tyson being the Silver Ranger, I don't want to be the people who hurt Tyson though, that's for sure." Says Kimberly.
"That's an understatement. We might need to keep him from doing something rash." Admits Tyrone
Kimberly thinks for a moment, before admitting that might be a good idea.
Meanwhile Demiyah is in her mindscape, fighting the Evil Pink Ranger personality with a bit of trouble.
Eventually, the Evil Pink Ranger personality traps Demiyah in a cage made of shadows.
"You're not going to win. I'll get free eventually!" Demiyah says defiantly
"You say that, but we both know I'll win." The Evil Pink Ranger personality says tauntingly.
With that the Evil personality awakens and awaits Zeltrax's orders. Unaware of the power that would soon free Demiyah
A little while later, Rocky shows up to see his son.
"Are you sure it's him?" Rocky asks Dana, not wanting this to be a false alarm.
"Yes Rocky, we're sure. We did the test twice just to be sure." Dana tells Rocky as they walk over to where the Dino Rangers are.
"Hey Rocky, I take it you got the news?" Kimberly asks.
"Yeah, how is he doing?"
"Physically aside from the scars and bruises he's fine. Mentally? He needs someone he can talk to about this. Espcially since he's going to be the Silver Dino Ranger." Dana says
That gets Rocky's attention.
"He's the Silver Ranger?" Rocky asks, not quite sure how to feel about that information.
"Yeah, he and Tiernan piloted the Gold Allo-zord and the Silver Ankyla-zord and saved us." Admits Denki.
Rocky sighs and asks the next question.
"Where has he been all this time though?"
This leads into a discussion about how Tyson was raised in Japan, found out about being adopted, running away, and meeting Tiernan.
By the end of it, Rocky was furious with Susumu and Yuuko Kamiya. Not only had they mistreated Tyson, they blamed him for their daughter, Hikari's incident that led her to being in the hospital two years ago! They shouldn't have even left a seven year old in charge in the first place!
"We need to do something about them. They clearly aren't responsible enough to be raising children." Rocky says.
"Agreed. But we'll need to tread lightly, this is an international incident." Dana reminds him.
"What about Tyson? He needs to speak with someone." Kira says.
"We'll call Trini. She's a counsellor at the Reefside Silver Guardians Academy" Rocky says
"Agreed. But you need to see him. He needs family as well." Kimberly says.
With that Rocky nods his head and goes to meet his son.
It was awkward at first, neither of them knowing what to say. Eventually they warm up to each other and form a parental bond.
This leads to the agreement that Rocky will stay in Reefside until Mesogog is defeated to help with the Rangers training and assist back at base.
Tyson would be enrolled at the Silver Guardians Academy and would receive the same training as Denki, Takuya, and Demiyah.
Once everything was worked out Tyson would stay with the Oliver family until Rocky rented a place to stay.
While that is happening a classmate of Conner, Ethan, Kira, and Trent named Krista comes across the Teal Dino-gem while on her way home.
Not knowing what it is, she picks it up and sees an image of a Diplodocus as the Teal gem glows.
Confused as to what happened, she puts the Gem in her pocket and continues heading home.
