Sorry guys its been a while! I've had a LOT of things happening. (that and I couldn't think of what to write but we don't talk about that-) I'll try to update whenever I can and even though there's not a lot of you I appreciate those who read this story! It gives me enough motivation to keep updating so thank you anyways lets get on with the chapter shall we?

POV: Lion-O

After Cheetara left I layed back onto the bed and continued to take deep breaths per Pumyra's request. I closed my eyes for a bit as my mind wandered back to what happened earlier, I'm just thankful I managed to get everyone out in time, who knows what would've happened if I didn't. I couldn't handle adding that guilt onto my conscience, not now, I still have so much to work through but nevermind that. Eventually I finally get up to wash the dirt off of myself before heading to the scanners where I sit down and brush the wet hair out of my face.

"How are you feeling?"

I turned to look at my friend as he sat down close to me. "I'm alright, a little tired but nothing major. What about you?" I said plainly.

"I've gone through worse, anything worth noting here?" Panthro said before pausing for a moment, I could feel him looking at me and it was then I realized that I had spaced out. "Are you sure you're alright Lion-O?"

Finally I blinked to bring myself back in. "Yea I'm ok, today was just a little weird that's all. Nothing to worry about though." I tried to brush it off but I could tell he wasn't having it. I couldn't help but give in. "Do you think everyone is ok? Maybe we could've stayed to make sure they were taken care of."

I felt a hand on my shoulder. "We did take care of them Lion-O, we saved all the workers and Pumyra tended to their wounds. All we can do now is let them heal and check in from time to time, besides they have medical aid too. It's not like the Wollos have nothing."

I let out a sigh at his words. "You're right... I guess I'm just worried over nothing." I explained, offering a smile to him.

"I don't think I've ever seen you visibly worried after a mission and we've handled much worse than that. What makes this any different?"

"I don't know... I guess I feel more in control when dealing with the mutants and Mumm-ra. There are tactics, strategies, to handle them. With natural disasters there's not much you can do except try to save everyone and hope for the best. Thankfully we got everyone to safety but who knows what would've happened if we didn't. That boy, amongst others, might've lost their family today."

Panthro was quiet for a moment, he seemed to think about what he wanted to say. "You don't want anyone to suffer the pain and loss that we did." His words caught me off guard to say the least, Panthro has always been straight to the point but it's rare to see him, or anybody for that matter, talk about these things.

It was at this point that I caved, only a little. "Not just losing their family but their home. You can only do so much to rebuild and nobody should have to deal with that." I said while simply looking around with the scanners.

"Lion-O those things are inevitable, I wish they weren't but they're a part of life. No one deserves it, especially the innocent, but we can only do so much. Just be glad we were able to delay it for now."

I paused to take in his words before closing my eyes for a moment to take a deep breath. "You're right, thank you friend." I said with a genuine smile to which he returned. By that time I saw Cheetara on screen, she looked tired and had every right to be, it's been a long day for everyone.

She came in and sat down on the nearest chair when I heard Panthro speak. "How's your arm?"

"It's sore but I'll be fine. What about you two? Any injuries you might have missed?" I never fully understood why but something about her always made me smile. Sometimes it was her kindness while others it was her bravery, other times its her ability to have fun. Very broad I know but she just lights up the room and makes things feel... normal. I appreciate that.

"We're alright, just got cleaned up and came to make sure everything was still clear. By the way where is everyone else?" Once I heard Panthro's question I realized I hadn't seen anyone since we got back.

"Tygra just went out for a walk but I don't know about the others. They're probably taking a break to rest, we all need it after today." She said while carefully moving her arm, by the look on her face anyone could see she was still in pain but it's hard to tell exactly how much. The 'Cats have a tendency to look strong, even for each other. With that said our talent is almost scary, you never truly know how much is hidden behind our masks until we take it off.

CRASH!

"What on Third Earth was that?"

"I don't know, surely it can't be anything to worry about... hopefully..."

The 3 of us rushed out of the room and towards the sound. Honestly we shouldn't be surprised because sure enough it was the twins. I figured they might've crashed their space boards until I saw them on the floor with cans and boxes surrounding them.

"What happened here??" I looked up and saw Pumyra coming from the other side, she must've heard them too.

Wilykat laughed sheepishly. "Uh sorry guys, we didn't mean to scare anybody."

"Yea we only meant to get some snacks but then, well, we sort of... tripped..." Wilykit admitted. It's times like these I wonder if they're trying to cover something up or if they're embarrassed. I prefer the latter. Still, after a day like today I don't think anybody is in the mood.

Cheetara let out a breath (whether it be relief, annoyance, or both) before helping them up. "Why do you have so many snacks with you anyways? You don't need you're own personal stash!"

I couldn't help but chuckle as I shook my head and turned to leave.

"Oh Lion-O, wait a minute!"

"Yes?"

"Bengali is heading back to the tower, I'll stay here for a few days so I can keep watch over your conditions. You should be alright but I want to make sure that you and Cheetara are doing well, you never know what can happen the first few days."

"Alright, call me if you need me. For now I'll head back to the scanners." And with that, I left.
