Sorry for the delay. Life happened! This is the final chapter, hope you enjoy!
Chapter 10
Stan's POV
After three months, my divorce from Wendy is final. I'm officially single again. It's a bittersweet feeling. I love Wendy, but I have come to realize I'm not in love with her. Plus given the attraction I have to her daughter, there's no way in hell that marriage was going to work. I really hope Wendy can move on and find true happiness and love.
I approach Wendy just before she leaves the courthouse. I lightly touch her arm. "I'm sorry again for everything Wendy."
She frowns and jerks her arm away. "Go to hell!" She storms off.
"Wow…" I turn towards Kyle. He was my lawyer for the hearing even though he really didn't want to be.
"Dude, you fucked her 18 year old daughter. Were you expecting a high five?"
I shake my head. "No, I guess I thought she would've cooled off a bit by now."
"It hasn't been that long, it's only been a few months."
"She burned all my clothes. I think we're even."
Kyle chuckles. "You can't be serious…"
"You're right. She still has a right to be upset." I sigh and sit down. "Well this is now divorce number 2." I bury my head in my hands. "This time I'm the one that fucked up!"
"Sorry dude." Kyle sits down next to me and puts his arm around me.
"Don't be." I look at him and shrug." Maybe I was meant to be single."
Kyle nods in agreement. "The single life isn't so bad."
"I really don't like being alone though." I lower my head. I'm trying to pull myself away from this pity party, but it gets harder the more I think about my situation.
"Maybe you just haven't found the right one yet."
"At this rate, I never will!" I can feel myself tearing up.
"Ahem!" Kyle and I both look up and are shocked to see her!
"Alyssa?" I stand up. "What are you doing here?"
Alyssa looks at Kyle. "Mr. Broflovski, can I have a minute alone with Stan, please?"
Kyle looks at me. "Stan, are you okay with that?"
I nod. "That's fine." He walks away to give us some space. Alyssa moves closer to me. "I'm surprised you're here."
She smiles. "Why wouldn't I be? I knew your hearing was today."
"I thought you had to stay away from me. I haven't heard from you since your mom kicked us out."
"I wanted to be there for you so badly. I knew it was best to give you some space until the divorce was fianl. I missed you."
I look at her in shock. "You did? But I'm the asshole that ruined your relationship with your mom."
She shakes her head. "No you didn't. I knew the risk and I still pursued you." She puts her arms around me. "But it's over now and my feelings for you haven't changed."
"What are you saying?"
"I love you Stan Marsh and I want to be with you!" Alyssa pulls me into a kiss. As much as I missed her kisses and I'm loving this, the time doesn't feel right. I push her away.
"I don't think we should do this…"
"Why not?"
"Because I really want you to fix your relationship with Wendy."
She shakes her head. "That relationship is dead. She doesn't want anything to do with me."
"She'll come around eventually. "
"She won't. She's gotten rid of any reminder of me. She won't take my calls. She tells everyone that TJ is her only child."
"Ouch!"
Alyssa shrugs. "Yeah, but I guess I deserve it." She smiles at me. "But I found love and I would've ended up resenting her if I have to give you up just to be on good terms with her." She kisses me again.
"You really think I'm worth all this trouble?"
"Absolutely!"
"What does Token think about this?"
"My dad wants to kill you!" I pull away from her. "But I told him, you're not to be harmed!"
"I guess I better keep my distance from him anyway." I say nervously.
She chuckles. "He'll come around in time. I know it!" We start kissing and once again, I pull away.
"We shouldn't do this."
"Why not?"
"We've hurt so many people…"
"Only my mom."
"This doesn't feel right. I've only been divorced for 30 minutes."
"But you've been separated for months. Can you honestly say, you can let me walk out of your life for good?" She starts kissing my neck. "Can you?" She kisses me up and down my neck.
"N-no…" God, this feels so good!
"I didn't think so."
"Can we at least take things slow? I did just end my second marriage."
She nods. "I'll go as slow as you want, baby."
I look over and see Kyle impatiently waiting. "How about this? I need to drop Kyle off. Then I'll go home and freshen up and I'll pick you up and take you out on a real date. Anywhere you want to go! How does that sound?"
I get the biggest smile ever from her. "That sounds perfect! I can't wait, I'll see you soon!" She kisses me one last time before leaving.
I see Kyle shaking his head as I approach him. "You're making a big mistake!"
"I'm divorced now!" I remind him.
"But she's your ex wife's…you know what? Never mind, you're grown! Do what you want!"
I nod in agreement. "I intend to. Besides, it probably won't go anywhere."
"Then why waste your time and hers?"
"It's just an innocent date. That's all. I thought you said I can do what I want?"
"You can. I'm not going to say another word!"
"Good!" We get in the car and the ride is silent. I'm sure Kyle has plenty to say about this, but I really don't want to hear it. It's just a date, who knows if anything will come of it. I'm sure it's just going to be dinner and then maybe I'll get a hotel room so we can have sex.
One Year Later…
"I can't believe we did it!" I tell Alyssa as we're lying in bed.
"I can! I knew it was meant to be!" She kisses me. "You've made me the happiest woman in the world! I love so much!" She looks at her ring.
"I love you too Mrs. Marsh!" I kiss her again which begins another love making session.
In case you haven't figured it out, Alyssa and I got married. We went to Vegas and eloped because no one approves of our relationship so there was no reason to have a big ceremony. We got married six months ago, but we're just now going on our honeymoon.
We dated for about three months when I came to realization that I wanted to be with Alyssa as much as she wanted to be with me. I did the honorable thing and asked Token for her hand in marriage, which didn't go well at all. He kicked my ass and refused to give us his blessing. I guess I shouldn't be surprised considering that I'm his age and circumstances.
Neither one of us have heard from Wendy. All we know is she left TJ with Token and Nicole and moved to another town to get a fresh start. I feel bad that she felt she needed to do that, but I hope wherever she is, she's happy.
I can definitely say, regardless of how it happened, I'm glad it did! This is the happiest I've been in a long time and it's all thanks to Alyssa! I've finally found the right one.
The End
