Today is an historic day at the United Nations headquarters in Metropolis. Today is the day that Qurac's surrender to Bialya will officially be recognized by the UN.

"With this treaty we will officially acknowledge the union of Bialya and the former Qurac, now Greater Bialya." The Secretary-General says.

Queen Bee and Sumaan Harjavti, the former president of Qurac, sign the treaty.

"Queen Bee, with this treaty, I hope to bring peace to our territory." Sumaan says.

"As do I. And I would be honored if you continued your work for Greater Bialya as our official Ambassador to the United Nations." Queen Bee says.

"I graciously accept." Sumaan says.

"Members of the council, I want to thank you for your time today. We are one step closer to peace with today's treaty." Queen Bee says.

"And where is your champion today? Where is Black Adam?" The ambassador of Vlatava yells out.

"Black Adam is back home protecting the mother land and ensuring our peace." Queen Bee says.

"Peace ha. Then why are thousands of Quraci refugees fleeing to the safety promised by Markovia?" Viktor Markov, the king of Markovia asks.

"This council will be brought to order." The Secretary-General says.

The murmurs between the countries continue to grow. Soon it turns to nearly two-hundred voices yelling at each other. As tensions continue to rise, the doors at the entrance slam open. They open with such force that they break off. Standing there is a woman in a black uniform, with a crest on her chest. It's Faora.

"Pathetic, all of you." Faora says.

"You squabble amongst yourselves in an attempt to gain power." She continues.

"And who are you?" The Secretary-General asks.

"My name is Faora Hu-Ul and I am your new ruler." Faora says.

"Is this some sort of joke?" The Secretary-General asks.

Faora emits heat vision from he eyes directly into the chest of the Secretary-General, killing him. The rest of the council scream in horror.

"I Faora Hu-Ul lay claim to this planet in the name of Krypton." Faora says.

At the Daily Planet, Clark stands over Lois's desk. Just then, Perry White walks by.

"Hey you two love birds, something is going on at the United Nations." He says.

"What is it Chief?" Lois asks.

"I don't know, but word is there's a Kryptonian there claiming ownership of earth." Perry says.

Lois and Clark look at each other.

"We're on it Chief." Clark says, as the two hurry off.

"You go, I'll catch up." Lois says as the two reach the lobby.

Clark speeds off.

"Now, let's talk about the terms of your surrender." Faora says to the assembly.

"What's going on here?" Superman asks as he enters the chamber.

"Superman! This woman claims to be from Krypton. She says she is here to take over." One of the ambassadors yells out.

"Son of El, we finally meet." Faora says.

"Do I know you?" Superman asks.

"I am Faora Hu-Ul. Member of the Kryptonian Grand Army. Second in command only to General Zod." Faora says.

"General Zod. I know him. You must come with me this is all a horrible mistake." Superman says.

"There is no mistake here. It is our right to rule." Faora says.

"You don't understand. Come with me I will explain what happened with Zod." Superman says.

"Seeing as he is not the ruler here, I assume you must have neutralized him." Faora says.

"No, well yes, here come with me and I'll explain." Superman says, as he grabs Faora's arm.

"Do not touch me!" Faora shouts.

Faora punches Superman with such strength he is sent flying though the wall out of the building, and hurdling to the street below. Lois pulls up and runs over to check on Superman.

"Did you see that?" One of the ambassadors asks.

"Look what she did to Superman." Some of the ambassadors begin to say.

"I will give you twenty-four hours to write up your treaty and surrender to me." Faora says, as she flies off.

Superman looks up and watches as Faora flies off. Superman then flies off in a different direction, leaving Lois on the ground to watch on.

Superman flies to his arctic fortress.

"Brainiac." Superman calls out.

"Greeting Kal-El." Brainiac says, sneaking up on Kal-El in his new body.

"Brainiac who is Faora?" Superman asks.

"Faora was a member of the Kryptonian Grand Army. She was second in command only to General Zod." Brainiac says.

"She's here, on earth." Superman says.

"She escaped the Phantom Zone with General Zod and Jax-Ur last year." Brainiac says.

"What?!" Superman remarks.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asks, angrily.

"She disappeared at one point, her whereabouts were inconclusive." Brainiac says.

"Brainiac this is no joke." Superman says.

"I never joke." Brainiac says.

"Well now she's out there. Attacking earth. If you had told me I could have been searching for her." Superman says.

"If you would let me upload into earths databanks, I could have located her and alerted you." Brainiac says.

"I'm not playing a blame game with you. Faora is out there, and she has demanded earth to surrender to her rule. What can we do?" Superman asks.

"You gave Zod your phantom zone projector, so putting her back in the phantom zone is not a viable option." Brainiac says.

"Well that's just telling me what we can't do. I need to know what we can do." Superman says.

"Jo-Mon." Brainiac says.

"What?" Superman asks.

"You may challenge her to the Krytonian combat of Jo-Mon." Brainiac says.

"What's Jo-Mon?" Superman asks.

"Jo-Mon was the fiercest warrior in Kryptonian history. He invited his enemies to battle him atop the highest peak of the Jewel Mountains on Krypton. He defeated them all. Over time a Kryptonian military tradition of Jo-Mon was adopted to determine who was fit to lead Krypton's military. The last time it was enacted, was when General Zod came to power." Brainiac says.

"How do you know all of this?" Superman asks.

"It was part of the military files Jax-Ur gave me last year." Brainiac says.

"Then I will have to challenge her to Jo-Mon." Superman says.

"Jo-Mon is a battle to the death Kal-El." Brainiac says.

"I'm aware of that." Superman says.

"That goes against your principles." Brainiac says.

"I know." Superman says.

"Then how are you-

"I DON'T KNOW BRAINIAC!" Superman yells.

"All I know is that if I don't stop Faora, a whole lot of innocent people are going to die." Superman says.

"Then this may be the only way." Brainiac says.

At the Pentagon building in Washington D.C. Amanda Waller meets with General Sam Lane to discuss the current predicament.

"What do you have for me Waller?" General Lane asks.

"Not much after Cadmus's last defense project was neutralized." Waller says.

"Damnit, I always knew that alien was going to bring this on us." General Lane says.

"I'm awaiting a call from Cadmus's benefactor for our next step." Waller says.

"Well time is running out. We have twenty hours to come to terms with this invader." The General says.

"Understood sir." Waller says.

As Amanda Waller exits, her phone rings.

"Tell me you have something." She says as she picks it up, knowing exactly who it is.

"Possibly." Lex says.

"We don't have time for this." Waller says.

"Everything I have is still in the experimental phase." Lex says.

"Then it's time for a field test." Waller says.

"Give me six-teen hours to secure this. I still expect Superman to play his part." Lex says.

"Very well." Waller says.

The next day Faora returns to the United Nations building. The leaders of this world have put together a treaty of surrender but don't want to present it. Faora approaches the acting head of the council.

"Have you agreed to my terms?" Faora asks.

"We are ready to negotiate." The acting head says.

"You misunderstand. There will be no negotiations. This is a surrender." Faora says.

The acting head looks at his assistant and nods. His assistant brings over a briefcase. He opens it.

"This treaty has our terms. Sign it, and the world is yours." The acting head says.

"You've saved a great many lives today." Faora says.

"Wait!" A voice yells out as Faora is about to sign the treaty.

The council turns around to see Superman.

"Don't sign that treaty. Faora of Krypton, I hear by challenge you to Jo-Mon." Superman says.

"Do you know what you're asking?" Faora asks, with a raised eyebrow.

"I do. But I have one request." Superman says.

"And what is that?" Faora asks.

"We do this up north. In the arctic. Away from all these people."

"Kal-El, on Krypton Jo-Mon was a spectacle. The people had a right to see the warrior who would be leading their army. If you want to challenge me to Jo-Mon, you will do it here and now." Faora says.

Before Superman has a chance to react, Faora charges forward and shoulder tackles him. Superman is thrust back, crashing though a wall in the chamber. He sees two people in the hallway.

"Get everyone out of here. Evacuate the building now!" Superman says.

Just then, he is grabbed by the throat.

"You can not save them son of El. You can not even save yourself." Faora says as she throws Superman down the hall.

Faora charges Superman again, but this time he is able to block he attack. He is going to have to remember everything Kairi has taught him if he hopes to survive this battle. Faora punches high, but Superman is able to block. She kicks low, but he is able to block again. Faora throws a left hand that Superman blocks, but then she quickly swings a right. Her right hand connects sending Superman out a window. Superman regains his bearings and flies back up.

As Faora flies out the building, Superman catches her with a punch sending he skyward. Superman is trying to take this fight above the city and away from civilian casualties. The two continue to battle in the air. Mostly with Faora attacking and Superman blocking.

"You cannot win by playing defense." Faora says.

Superman begins to try and throw some punches. He is becoming angry and discouraged. His swings are becoming wilder. As he throws another fist, Faora grabs his arm.

"You have some training; I can see that." Faora says.

"But I have mastered Horo-Kanu." She continues.

Faora squeezes Superman's bicep in a very precise manner.

"AHHH!" Superman screams in pain.

Faora spins Superman around, and sends him hurdling back towards earth. Superman crashes through the top of Metropolis Towers, a fifty-two-story high shopping complex in the heart of the city. He smacks onto the ground in pain. He can't move his left arm. He tries to shake some life into it. As he does, Faora stomps on his arm.

"It is at an end Kal-El." Faora says.

Faora winds up for the killing blow, when suddenly her ears are pierced with a screeching sound. Superman can hear it too. As well as every dog in the city.

"There's only two beings in the city not on four legs that can hear this frequency." The voice of Lex Luthor says.

"Faora of Krypton, follow the sound to me." Lex says.

Faora flies off.

"Wait, it's a trap." Superman calls out, but its too late, Faora is gone.

Faora follows the sound to LexCorp. She smashes through the entrance and rips open the elevator. She heads down the elevator shaft to the LexCorp sublevels. As she reaches the bottom, a bright red light emerges.

"What is this?" Faora asks.

"The path to peace." Lex says.

Faora turns around and sees Lex standing there in a white lab coat and black goggles. He is holding some sort of futuristic looking gun and he pulls the trigger. Out of the gun emits a blinding white light.

"Feel the power of my solar gun. It will charge you up, make you even stronger." Lex says.

"Yes, I feel it. More, I need more." Faora says.

Lex keeps the beam on Faora.

"Wait, something feels strange. That's too much." Faora shouts.

"Stop!" She screams, but Lex keeps the beam on.

Faora looks at her hand and can see her own cells bursting from an oversaturation of solar energy. She screams in agony as he whole body bursts.

Lex keeps the beam on until the gun runs out of power. He them removes his goggles and looks at the remains of Faora's body.

Superman enters the lab, still holding his arm.

"What did you do?" Superman asks.

"I ensured our future." Lex says.

"She didn't need to die." Superman says.

"Actually, it with your idea. With the way you handled Livewire." Lex says.

Later that evening on Metropolis News Five, Angela Chen is reporting on the days events.

"The Kryptonian threat of Faora was stopped today by Lex Luthor. Although it was not disclosed how Luthor stopped her, we can confirm she met her demise. It is now being said that Lex Luthor will not face any murder charges at this time. Lex had this to say."

"I'm just glad justice was able to be served." Lex says.

Clark watches from his couch. Behind him, Lois wraps her arms around his shoulders.

"You okay?" Lois asks.

"Getting there." Clark says, rubbing his arm.

"You did what you could." Lois says.

"And yet Lex Luthor gets to be celebrated." Clark says.

"I don't like him anymore than you do. But he did save the day." Lois says.

"Well I think this whole thing is rotten." Clark says.

At the pentagon, Amanda Waller carries a large metal briefcase into the office of General Sam Lane.

"General, this is it. The weapon that took down a Kryptonian." Waller says.

"Congratulate Luthor on making himself another billion dollars today." General Lane says.

"You can congratulate me yourself." Lex says, as he appears in the doorway.

"Mr. Luthor, this country is in your debt." General Lane says.

"It's a position I'm used to." Lex says.

"What happened to the remains of this Kryptonian?" General Lane asks.

"Actually, I was hoping that LexCorp could take ownership of that, quietly of course." Lex says.

"For what purpose." General Lane asks.

"For peace." Lex says, handing General Lane a folder.

General Lane opens the folder and reads a file titled Project Doomsday.
