Garth sits in his room. He was worried about Atlantis' future. There were rumors of war circulating, and now his king had left for the surface world. Garth was young, only about fifteen, he didn't understand the surface world. His allegiance lied with Atlantis. But he had a very close bond with his king. In many ways Arthur was a mentor to Garth, and his wife, Mera, had been teaching him Atlantean sorcery for years. Suddenly, his door opened.

"Garth." Orm says as he walks into the room.

"Orm. Have you heard from our king?" Garth asks.

"He has gone to the surface world to try and broker peace. I have been named Ocean Master in his stead." Orm says.

"I don't get it. Why can't the surface world just leave us alone?" Garth asks.

"Word is- well I don't know if I should tell you this." Orm says.

"What is it?" Garth asks.

Orm hesitates for a second.

"There's a rumor that a small group of divers are looking for us. They're nearby." Orm says.

"Where are they? I can tell Kaldur'ahm and Tula the three of us can take them." Garth says.

"No Garth. No one must know about this." Orm says, forcefully.

"Then why tell me?" Garth asks.

"I want someone to do some recon." Orm says.

"Quietly. I just need to know what is coming. Your king trusts you; I'm putting my trust in you too." Orm continues.

"You can count on me!" Garth says, as he runs out of his room.

Orm watches on until Garth is out of sight. He then grabs a radio device out of his pocket.

"He's coming." Orm says.

It's an unusually warm day for October. There are families spending time at the beach on the outskirts of Metropolis. As the kids play in the sand, building sandcastles and playing tag, the water begins to bubble. Then the waves part, and Arthur Curry makes his way out of the water. The families stare on in shock and terror as Arthur makes his way up the beach. He approaches a man sitting on a beach towel.

"Where do the United Nations meet?" He asks, looking down at the man.

"It- it's that way." The man says nervously, pointing to a building off in the distance.

Arthur continues walking towards the U.N. as the beach goers just look on. As he makes his way through the city, he disregards any and all traffic rules. He carelessly walks through the streets whether a car is coming or not. Nearly causing several accidents.

Eventually Arthur arrives at the U.N. He makes his way in, just as meeting is being adjourned.

"If that is all for today." The Secretary-General says.

Just then, the doors burst open and Arthur walks in.

"Members of the council, I am Arthur Curry, king of Atlantis." Arthur says.

"Is this some sort of joke?" One of the ambassadors yells out.

"This is no joke. I have come with a warning." Arthur says.

"Stay out of my Ocean." Arthur says.

"This council does not take kindly to threats. Especially after the Kryptonian invasion a couple months ago." The Secretary-General says.

"This is your only warning." Arthur says.

"Why are we listening to someone from a country this council doesn't even recognize." An ambassador asks.

"I don't know how things work in Atlantis, but we have rules and regulations to follow up here." The Secretary-General says.

"We are ready for war if necessary. Don't make it come to that." Arthur says.

"Security!" The Secretary-General calls.

A few security guards enter the chamber to escort Arthur out. They reach forward and grab his arms.

"Get your hands off of me." Arthur says.

Arthur throws the security guards off of him. One of them smashes through a wall, with a loud crashing sound.

At his desk at the Daily Planet, Clark can hear the sound of a crash in the distance. He looks up and out the window. He can tell it came from the U.N. Clark speeds off.

"I got you a coffee." Lois says as she approaches Clark's desk. But she comes to find it empty.

What'd you find this time? Lois asks herself.

Superman makes his way to the U.N. to find a commotion going on in the main chamber.

"Stop this." Superman says as he grabs Arthur.

Arthur throws Superman off of him. Arthur's strength catches Superman off guard. A couple of security guards rush Arthur, but Superman holds them off.

"Everyone calm down." Superman says as he claps his hands with force, creating an echo throughout the room.

To Superman's own surprise, this causes everyone to stop and listen. He was actually a little scared about how much force he created, and saw fear in the ambassador's eyes.

"Now what's going on here?" Superman asks.

"This man claims to be the king of Atlantis, and has come here with threats of war." The Secretary-General says.

"Is this true?" Superman asks, as he looks over at Arthur.

"All I ask is that you respect my oceans. I will return in twenty-four hours." Arthur says.

Arthur turns and exits the building. As he reaches the street, Superman runs after him.

"Wait, you need to give them more time." Superman says.

"I've given them enough time." Arthur says.

"But war is not the answer." Superman says.

"Why do you defend them? They are polluting your skies, the same as they are to my oceans." Arthur says.

"Not all of them." Superman says.

On top of a building across the street, a sniper looks on. He launches a rocket right at Arthur and Superman.

Superman hears it coming.

"Look out!" He yells as he flies off saving two civilians nearby.

The rocket hits as Arthur tries to dodge it, but gets hit with the brunt of the attack. Superman goes over to check on him.

"We need an ambulance!" Superman yells.

Garth makes his way to the outskirts of Atlantis. He looks for a good hiding space, believing himself to be very stealthy. Garth waits and waits, but nothing seems to happen. Eventually Garth begins to doze off. But then, he hears something.

Garth is hidden behind some rocks and coral, but there is a good hole for him to peak through. He can see something out there, but he isn't sure what. The hole does not give him a lot of peripheral vision. Garth attempts to peak out further. He can see a diver out there, dressed in all black. This is it; Garth thinks to himself. He hesitates for a moment, trying to decide if he should engage or sneak back to Atlantis. Garth turns around to spot another diver behind him. This one stabs Garth with some sort of tranquilizer dart.

"We got him." The diver says.
