At the Metropolis radio station, G. Gordan Godfrey gets ready to go on the air.

"Good morning everyone. Today we have a lot to discuss. Most of all the proceedings at the U.N. yesterday. Yesterday this "Aquaman", as some are calling him, came to the U.N to demand Atlantis be recognized. Let me just tell you how ridiculous of a notion that is. First, we hardly have proof of Atlantis' existence, never mind the fact that their army attacked U.S. soldiers. But if we start letting these fish people into our international government of sovereign nations, where does it end? A nation of gorillas? Or the Amazon's of Themiscyra? A nation of all women. Tell me that isn't sexist."

Superman waits in the hospital. Hoping to hear a positive update on Arthur's condition. As he waits, he sees Dan Turpin of the SCU. Superman approaches him.

"Lieutenant, have you found anything on Arthurs assailant?" Superman asks.

"That's not really any of your concern." Turpin says as he pushes by Superman.

Superman sighs. If he can't get any answers, maybe Clark Kent can.

Clark heads down to the Metropolis PD to try and get some answers. There, he runs into Maggie Sawyer.

"Miss Sawyer, what do you have to report on the attack on Aquaman?" Clark asks.

"Aquaman." Maggie questions.

"That's uh, that's what they're calling him." Clark says.

"The kind of name that looks good across the top of a paper." Maggie says.

"Do you have any comment?" Clark asks.

"All I can say is that the investigation is ongoing." Maggie says.

Clark nods and begins to depart. As he does, he walks by the CSI lab. Clark sneaks a peak inside using his x-ray vision. He sees shrapnel from the explosion being reconstructed. A fingerprint is able to be identified. As the CSI officers search their database, a name appears: Shay Lamden.

"You still here Mr. Kent?" Maggie says as she comes around the corner.

"Actually, I was just leaving." Clark says.

Clark heads to the Daily Planet to do some research. As he sits at his desk, Lois approaches.

"What did you find?" She asks.

"I'm not sure yet, a potential lead." Clark says.

"Oh?" Lois inquires.

"I was at Metropolis PD and they found a finger print on some of the ballistics. It belongs to a man named Shay Lamden." Clark says.

"And how did you get into the CSI lab?" Lois asks.

"I just looked through the wall." Clark shrugs.

"I always knew you had a secret. Things just seemed a little too easy for you." Lois says.

Clark smirks.

"Hey you two, you'll never guess who the mayor is sleeping with." Cat Grant says as she comes up behind them.

"You?" Lois guesses.

"Oh Lois, what kind of woman do you think I am?" Cat asks.

Lois gives a very sarcastic laugh.

"Well no time to talk, I've got to get the article out for Cat's Corner." Cat says.

"Cat's Corner?" Lois asks.

"Yeah! Perry and I came up with it. Anyway, I've got to run." Cat says as she heads off.

"I can't stand that woman." Lois says.

"Oh Lois, she's harmless." Clark says.

"Well, it's good to know aliens can't withstand the allure of a pretty blonde girl just like human men." Lois says as she storms off.

Clark gets back to his work. He pulls up records on Shay Lamden. He finds that Shay is a small-time bounty hunter. Clark then finds an address for him. In a moment, Clark speeds off.

Lois swings by Clark's desk at the same time Perry does.

"Lois, you seen Kent?" Perry asks.

"I think he's tracking down a lead on the Aquaman story." Lois says.

"Oh, I was going to give him that Halloween festival downtown to cover. But Aquaman takes priority. Why don't you cover the festival." Perry suggests.

"Great." Lois says sarcastically. If there's one thing she hates, its being assigned puff pieces like this.

Superman locates Shay's apartment and breaks in. He can just hear Lois's voice in his head. I see we can add breaking and entering to your list of skills, she would say. Worst of all, she would be right. Superman begins to look around. The apartment is empty, but suddenly, Superman hears someone approaching.

Superman prepares himself for whoever is about to enter the apartment.

"Freeze." A voice yells.

Superman has a few guns pointing in his face. He's ready to attack, but then he see's who is at the door. It's Dan Turpin, Maggie Sawyer, and a few other Metropolis police officers.

"Superman?!" Maggie says in surprise.

"What are you doing here ya bum?" Dan asks.

"I- I was following a lead." Superman says.

"What lead?" Dan asks.

"That's not important, what are you doing here?" Superman asks.

"We believe the man in this apartment is connected to the attack on the Aquaman." Maggie says.

"I do too." Superman says.

"But I haven't found anything yet." He continues.

Just then, one of the officers approaches.

"We may have found something on his laptop." The officer says.

"What is it?" Dan asks.

"It's a receipt for a cruise ticket to the Bahamas." The officer says.

"When's it for?" Dan asks.

"Looks like it left this morning." The officer says.

Superman speeds off.

On a tropical cruise liner just off the coast of Metropolis, Shay Lamden sits there relaxing. He's sprawled out on a beach chair wearing a Hawaiian shirt and straw hat. As he lays there with his eyes closed, he is suddenly jerked away from his chair. Before he even has time to react, he finds himself at the Metropolis PD. He looks up to see Superman behind him.

"I believe this is who you are looking for." Superman says to Dan Turpin.

"Shay Lamden. You're wanted for questioning in the attack on the Aquaman." Turpin says.

"I want my lawyer." Shay says.

"I'll bet you do." Turpin says.

David Hyde drives his van with valuable cargo into Metropolis. Hyde was a fierce pirate of the sea, a mercenary. Most knew him by another name, Black Manta.

"How much further?" One of his henchmen asks.

"We're almost there." Manta says.

"This is quite a scheme you have going. Get paid but the Atlantian's to capture one of their own. And then get paid by some doctors on land who want to study the specimen." The henchmen says.

"We're here." Manta says.

Manta exits the van. He is in a dimly lit parking garage, with only one other van inside. An older man wearing a white lab coat steps out of the other van.

"Do you have it?" The man asks.

"In the back." Manta says.

Black Manta's henchman opens the back of the van. Inside is a pod. And in the pod is Garth.

"Truly fascinating." The man says.

"My payment." Manta demands.

"Right here." The man says handing Black Manta a briefcase.

"Pleasure doing business with you." Black Manta says.

Orm stands in the throne room of his brother. The room he currently controls as the Ocean Master. The door opens up and Mera enters the chamber.

"Mera, you looked trouble." Orm says.

"This whole thing has me uneasy Orm." Mera says.

"I understand my Queen." Orm says.

"Have you seen Garth?" Mera asks.

"He didn't show up for his sorcery class today." She continues.

"Garth is on a special mission for me." Orm says.

"What?! What kind of mission? He's just a boy." Mera says.

"He'll be fine Mera. But in these unsure times, one can't be too careful." Orm says.

A group of guards enter the chamber.

"These men will take care of you. They'll put you somewhere safe until the king returns." Orm says.

The guards grab Mera and begin taking her away.

"Orm- What are you doing?" Mera asks as the guard's drag her off.

At the hospital, Superman enters Aquaman's room. Aquaman is up from his bed and moving around. He looks much better considering the attack.

"How are you?" Superman asks.

"I am fine." Aquaman says coldly.

"Can I help you? Superman offers.

"I need to find out who did this." Aquaman says.

"I already have, he's in police custody." Superman says.

"He should answer to Atlantean Justice." Aquaman says, as he clutches his ribs.

"Let me help you." Superman offers.

"I can take care of myself." Aquaman says.

"What is your next step?" Superman asks.

"I must return to Atlantis, and speak with my council on our next move." Aquaman says.

"I would like to avoid a war." Superman says.

"As would I but it may be too late for that." Aquaman says.

Just then, a special report comes on the television.

"This is Angela Chen reporting for Metropolis News Five with some breaking news. We have just received this tape from Atlantis." Angela says, as the recording comes on screen.

"My name is Orm Marius, Ocean Master of Atlantis. You think you can attack our king, and our people without repercussions? Well you're wrong. You are dead wrong. War is coming to your surface world and it was you who made the first attack on our king." Orm says on the recording.

"Orm, what are you doing. Aquaman questions as he and Superman watch on.

As the world watches on, Lex Luthor also watches this report. He notices something. The weapons that the Atlantean Army has armed themselves with.

"THOSE ARE MY WEAPONS!" Lex yells out.

He immediately knows exactly where they got them. The botched arms deal with Queen Bee last year. The weapons were thought to be lost to the sea. But here they are.

"I'm not going to stand for this. But it may work to my advantage." Lex says.
