"Good Morning everybody and welcome to Just the Facts. I am your host G Gordon Godfrey. We have quite a lot to discuss today. Let's talk about this Atlantis War that has been on everybody's mind. This morning I have a special guest with me. Please welcome from the Daily Planet, Lois Lane."

"Thank you for having me G Gordon." Lois says.

"Mr. Godfrey will be fine. I just hope today goes a little better than last time you were on this station." Godfrey says.

"Well working will a broadcaster of your caliber, how could it not?" Lois says, somewhat sarcastically.

"Oh please, now then Lois-

"Miss Lane is fine." Lois says, cutting him off.

"Very well, Miss Lane, let's discuss the current events of this Atlantis War and the fallout that has come from it." Godfrey says.

"Well I for one think the so call fallout has been positive. Atlantis has joined the United Nations, and now the Amazon's are discussing joining as well." Lois says.

"Well what about the way this war ended. Tell me that those clips of Superman were not tyrannical." Godfrey says.

"Superman had to make a judgement call. He stepped in and stopped a battle before casualties were created." Lois says.

"He did so by doing what myself and many others have been warning for years, by forced his will among mortal men." Godfrey says.

"If by that you mean his will is to stop a conflict in a peaceful way with the fewest number of casualties, then yes he forced that among us." Lois says.

"So you admit we sub come to an alien agenda?" Godfrey says.

"I've been around long enough to know what a leading question is." Lois says.

"My question is about the most powerful man on the planet. Do you not think we should hold him to the highest expectations?" Godfrey asks.

"I think Superman did a fine job resolving this conflict." Lois says.

"And what about the lives lost from the submarine attack?" Godfrey says.

"The loss of any life is a tragedy." Lois says.

"Exactly Miss Lane, yet Atlantis walks free of any wrong doing in that case." Godfrey says.

"Those men were soldiers, there was a risk with their occupation. But what about the fifteen-year-old Atlantean boy who was kidnapped and is yet to be found?" Lois questions.

"Please Miss Lane, that's a separate issue. This boy strayed from his country and for all we know he was lost on his own. There is no proof he was abducted by anyone." Godfrey says.

"You don't find it odd that at the same time Atlantis was discovered, news of a young citizen going missing occurs?" Lois asks.

"Although Atlantis was only just discovered, it's obviously been there a long time. No doubt their citizens have been illegally sneaking into our countries for decades." Godfrey says.

"Well now that diplomacy has resumed, the path to legal citizenship is possible for these Atlantean's and vice versa." Lois says.

"No thank you. I don't know too many people excited about traveling to the depths of the oceans to spend time with fish people. Not to mention the new legislation coming from this." Godfrey says.

"But let's get back to that initial attack on the sub." Godfrey continues.

"Let's not forget that this was a nuclear sub that was left in the middle of the ocean." He says.

"Yes, and now that the dust has settled Superman has returned the sub to the U.S." Lois says.

"And he decommissioned the nuclear weapons along the way." Godfrey says.

"Do you think having less nuclear weapons on earth is a bad thing?" Lois asks.

"I think a man saying he fights for truth, justice, and the American way would want these items of defense in U.S. hands." Godfrey says.

"What you call an item of defense, others refer to as a weapon of war." Lois says.

"Careful Miss Lane, you're sounding rather unpatriotic." Godfrey says.

"I highly doubt the listeners would consider a military brat with a father currently in the pentagon unpatriotic. But it is important to remember the responsibility of patriotism is not to just blindly follow your countries desire, but to call them out when they are wrong as well." Lois says.

"So the U.S. was wrong?" Godfrey asks.

"To attempt to go to war with Atlantis? Yes. And Superman stepped in to deescalate the situation." Lois says.

"Well thank you for your input Lois, unfortunately that's all the time we have today." Godfrey says.

"Yeah, yeah, thanks." Lois says as the show cuts off.

Superman listens on from Atlantis. He is there visiting his new friend Arthur, Aquaman.

"I'm amazed how well the radio frequency comes in down here." Superman says.

"Just one of our many technological advances." Aquaman says.

"That's quite a woman." He continues.

"You have no idea." Superman says.

"I might." Aquaman says as Mera approaches.

"Superman, thank you for coming here." Mera says.

"It is an honor to be in the king's chambers." Superman says.

"And soon, there will be a new heir to the throne." Mera says as she puts her hands on her belly.

"That's great! Congratulations!" Superman says.

"Yes, but-" Arthur begins.

"But what?" Superman asks.

"It's Garth. I am still troubled by his disappearance." Aquaman says.

"If there is anything I can do to help, just contact me." Superman says.

"I appreciate that." Aquaman says.

"Perhaps a new age of heroes is dawning." Aquaman says.

"Age of heroes?" Superman asks.

"An ancient story, of the Atlantean's, Amazons, and Knights of Men joining forces to save the world from a great evil." Aquaman says.

"I'd like to hear it." Superman says.

"Perhaps another time. A kings work is never done." Aquaman says.

Superman bows to the king and prepares to depart Atlantis.

That evening, Clark heads to Lois's apartment.

"Hey Lois, I heard you on the radio today, you did great!" Clark says as he walks in the door.

He can quickly see Lois is upset.

"What's wrong?" He asks.

"Guess you didn't hear the segment after I left. Godfrey and his callers ripped into me pretty good." Lois says.

"You can't take down someone like Godfrey in one swing, believe me I've tried." Clark says.

"I know, it's just- I work very hard to tell the truth and then people like Godfrey twist things to fit their agenda." Lois says.

"I know Lois, and it's not fair. But the best you can do is keep chipping away at their lies until the truth shines through." Clark says.

"How do you do it?" Lois asks.

"How do I do what?" Clark responds.

"How do you remain so hopeful?" Lois asks.

"Hope is the one thing we can never give up on. My parents believed that. Both sets of them actually. They never gave up on me and I'm never going to give up on hope." Clark says.

Lois leans forward and the two kiss.
