Hey all! I've decided to write this story to help cure my writer's block.
This story will sort of be like a song fic story. There will be lots of singing!
To describe this story, it will be a contest among the genins to see who is the more musical ninja!
There will be lots of twists in this story, but it will be short and sweet so that I can get back to my other stories!

CHAPTER 1: Contest?
It was a calm and peaceful day in Konoha. The birds flew, chirping their morning chorus to the world. However, all of this was lost to one Godaime Hokage. She was in her office busy filling out paper work, listening to the arguments of the jounin she had gathered for a meeting, and planning to escape her assistant Shizune for a well-deserved sake break. Tsunade was silently praying to the kami that the day would be over soon. Even a hokage needs rest, she told herself. Shaking her head slightly, she decided to call the jounins to order. With a slight cough, Tsunade got the wanted attention of all the jounin present.
"As you all know," started Tsunade, "All the genin teams have been on numerous missions for the past year," she paused, to catch her breath and to sneak a sip of sake, before continuing, " The Konoha Spring Festival is approaching. This will be a good time to give the genin teams a break from the constant missions. Do you all not agree?"
There were murmurs of agreement from the jounin gathered. All the jounin present each had their own teams. They were all glad for a break as well. Some decided to show their relief through more expressive means.
Leaping to his feet, Maito Gai began one of his speeches on the spirit of youth, and how it would be good for their students to get some rest.
"YOSH! THE SPRING FESTIVALS WOULD BE THE PERFECT TIME FOR A BREAK! WHY, MY TEAM HAS BEEN WORKING EXCEPTIONALLY HARD, ESPECIALLY MY LEE-KUN! THE SPRINGTIME OF YOUTH IS STRONG WITHIN LEE! UNLIKE YOUR TEAM MY ETERNAL RIVAL KAKASHI!"
Gai finished his rant with a dramatic pose, complete with crashing waves and sunset in the background.
"Did you say something Gai?"
This simple question brought Gai down from his high altar, and mumbling about how hip and cool Kakashi's response had been.
Asuma merely puffed away on his cigarette during the exchange. Yuuhi Kurenai merely glanced at the two. The genjutsu specialist never really paid attention to the battle of egos.
Tsunade could feel a vein popping on her forehead. She had been working non stop because of the hawk-like eyes of her assistant, and was dead tired. The last thing she needed was people shouting in her office. The sound of Gai's loud voice ground on her last nerve. She decided to get to the point as fast as she could before she lost her temper and booted the over-enthusiastic taijutsu specialist out of her office through the window. She cleared her throat rather forcefully. Once she was satisfied that she had all of their attention, she quickly got to the point.
"For the festival, I want every genin to perform a special talent that they have, outside of the ninja profession."
Dead silence followed this proclamation. Each jounin wondered if their team even had any other skills besides being a ninja. Tsunade, noticing their looks, told them the other half of her plan.
"The festival is in a month. During that time, even if they don't have any special skills, they could pick some up. Hopefully they'll be ready by the time they festival comes around."
Some of the jounin still looked uncertain, but decided to go with the Hokage. After all, they all thought, how bad could it be?
They had no idea how wrong they would be…
