The red light goes on as G Gordan Godfrey hits the air.

"Good morning and welcome to a very special edition of Just the Facts. Today is one of those days in history that will be remembered. Right now, Superman is arriving in Washington to discuss government required registration of enhanced beings. Now let's think about that for a moment. Superman, an alien from another planet is getting the opportunity to discuss whether or not these powered beings are required to register their powers with the government. Somebody explain this to me. Look at the danger that has come since Superman revealed himself to our world some three years ago. In that time the revelation of other enhanced beings has risen exponentially. Whether it's the Flash in Central City, Captain Marvel in Fawcett City, The Batman, this new Green Arrow person in Star City, the Titans of San Francisco, Aquaman and the Atlantean's, hell the Themysciran's finally signed on with the United Nations. All these powerful beings are out there and you're telling me they shouldn't reveal themselves to the government? When will you people wake up? Superman should have no say over this legislation. That should be decided by those in charge. Us regular humans who want to decide if we want to work with these beings, or our children to go to school with these beings. If Superman lived among us all this time, he must have gone to school somewhere. Are you telling me you'd be okay with your child going to school with a classmate who could potentially shoot lasers from their eyes? These are the things you need to think about. I'm G Gordan Godfrey, and we'll be back after this."

Bats fly up in the Batcave as Superman stands there speaking with Bruce.

"You're going to be late." Bruce says.

"They won't start without me." Superman says.

"So what are you going to say. Are you going to fall in line and make others register?" Bruce asks.

"I've given it a lot of thought. But I can't do that to others who don't want to be identified. Especially children." Superman says.

"Then what?" Bruce asks.

"I'm going to oppose. The other day I met with the Titans. I saw Raven and Garfield. They're so young. I don't want them having to go through being forced into revealing their identities to the public." Superman says.

"If you oppose it, it doesn't mean it won't happen." Bruce says.

"And where do you stand on this?" Superman asks.

"I think that's pretty obvious. But Batman isn't known for playing by their rules." Bruce says.

"Well maybe Superman isn't either." Superman says.

"It isn't you." Bruce says.

"What?" Superman asks.

"Opposing authority isn't you. You're seen as a light to humanity. You make people love you by following the rules." Bruce says.

To Clark, that almost sounded like a compliment.

"I have to go." Superman says.

Bruce nods.

As Superman exits Wayne Manor, his phone rings. It's Lois.

"Hello." He says, as he answers it.

"Where are you. I think Washington is getting antsy." Lois says.

"I'm on my way there now. I just had to make a stop first." Superman says.

"Perry's been trying to reach you all morning." Lois says.

"I see his messages now." Superman says.

"What story are you chasing today?" He then asks.

"I'm headed to STAR Labs. Apparently, Professor Hamilton and John Henry Irons have been cooking up something." Lois says.

"Alright, well I'm headed to Washington. I love you." Superman says.

"Love you too." Lois says.

Superman touches down on Capitol Hill. He looks out and sees two separated crowds. One pro registration and one anti registration. He takes a deep breath as he walks up the steps to the Capitol Building.

He is greeted by an aide.

"Superman, thank you for coming." The aide says.

"Thank you for having me." Superman says.

"We'll be meeting over this way." The aide says.

Superman had been to the Capitol a handful of times, but he was taken to a room he had never seen before. There were no windows. He noticed the room was lined with lead, meaning he couldn't see through it with his x-ray vision. He looks at the long board room table. It is full of senators and politicians. At the head of the table sits the President of the United States. Superman felt that he had a good repute with the President.

"Mr. President." Superman says with a nod.

"Superman, please come in. Take a seat." The President says in a friendly tone.

Superman does just that.

"For the record this room was specially constructed for you. There will be no interruptions. The walls are lined with lead, and we believe we have even made it sound proof to your super hearing." The President says.

"…okay." Superman says, starting to feel as if things are a bit more hostile.

"Good, then let us begin." The President says.

Back in Metropolis Lex Luthor walks down the street. He enters a building, a barber shop. Inside a barber is with a customer. He sees Lex enter and nods. Lex walks to the back. He opens a storage closet and walks inside. Inside the closet is another door. The door opens a secret elevator. Lex opens it and enters.

The elevator takes Lex to a lab below the building. Inside one of his scientists, Professor Bertron, is working on two projects. Project Kr and Project Doomsday.

"Status report?" Lex demands.

"Project Doomsday is moving along faster than project Kr." Professor Bertron says.

Lex looks at the two pods in front of him. Project Kr was made solely from the blood of Superman. It still appears as a fetus. But Project Doomsday was made with the remains of the Kryptonian body of Faora. It looks like a fully grown humanoid.

"Is it registering brain activity?" Lex asks.

"Barely, I've concocted this serum that should help with that." Professor Bertron says.

"Have you administered it yet?" Lex asks.

"No sir." Professor Bertron says.

"Do it." Lex demands.

"But sir, I'm still testing. I don't think-

"I don't pay you to tell me what you think. I pay you to follow my orders. Now do as I say." Lex says.

"Very well sir." Professor Bertron says.

Through an IV, Professor Bertron injects the serum into Project Doomsday. Lex looks at the monitor. He see's the heart-rate of the creature rise. He then see's the brain activity rise. The brain activity rises a lot. It goes off the chart. Lex looks at the pod. The creature's eyes open up. Its entire body begins to pulsate. Its muscles begin to grow, and bone begins to poke out of the skin.

"What's happening?" Lex asks.

"I don't know!" Professor Bertron says, panicking.

The creatures grows so much, it shatters its pod, blasting back Lex and Professor Bertron. Lex looks up. He can see the creature in front of him. It's massive with gray skin and hulking muscles everywhere. It has bones protruding out of it and little remains of the green containment suit it was wearing. The beast bellows out. Before turning his attention to Lex, the creature finds Professor Bertron.

"NO, NO!" The Professor yells out.

The Doomsday creature squeezes the professor in his hand as one with squeeze a sponge. His bones snap, and a puddle of blood drips from his body.

Lex looks up in horror. He dashes to his elevator. He gets inside. As the door begins to close. Doomsday punches at the door, he dents it, but Lex is able to escape.

Lois pulls up to STAR Labs. She enters the building and sees Professor Hamilton hard at work.

"Hello Professor." Lois says.

"Miss Lane, welcome." Professor Hamilton says.

Out from the back door walks John Henry Irons.

"Mr. Irons." Lois says with enthusiasm.

"Miss Lane hello." John says.

"How have things been going here?" Lois asks.

"It's great. I really have to thank Superman for helping me get in here." John says.

"I should thank Superman too. Mr. Irons' work has been invaluable to us." Professor Hamilton says.

"Superman loves to help however he can." Lois says.

"I have something for you Miss Lane." Professor Hamilton says.

He goes over to a drawer and pulls out a small device.

"What is it?" Lois asks.

"It's a sonic device of my own invention. If you press it, Superman should be able to hear it anywhere in the world." Professor Hamilton says.

"Are you serious?" Lois asks.

"I am." Professor Hamilton says.

"Is this your big break through?" Lois asks.

"No, this is just for you Miss Lane, at the request of Superman himself." Professor Hamilton says.

"So what do you have for me today?" Lois asks.

"John, why don't you do the honors." Professor Hamilton says.

"You remember the Lexosuit I worked on earlier this year?" John asks.

"I do." Lois says.

"Well let me introduce you to a version without the Lex tag on it." John says.

John pulls a sheet off and reveals a new exoskeleton suit. This one didn't look quite as polished as the Lex version. It was bigger and clunkier. Lois was a bit underwhelmed with the design, but tried to hid it.

"Impressive." She uttered out.

Back in Washington, the meeting is about to begin. Senator Finch rises to her feet.

"Superman, I want you to understand why you're here today, why we've all gathered here today. We are at a moment in human history. A moment where our very way of life is threatened." Senator Finch says.

"I'm not here to threaten anyone." Superman says.

"But your mere existence does just that." The Senator says.

"I have always used my powers to help others senator." Superman says, somewhat curtly.

"But you're not the only super being out there." Senator Finch says.

"Senator, say you do pass this legislations, and enhanced beings begin registering their powers. What then?" Superman asks.

"Then nothing. We simply want what's on file for our citizens." The senator says.

"Will this be public knowledge?" Superman asks.

"Of course. The people of the United States have the right to know who can do what." Senator Finch says.

"And these beings will be scrutinized against." Superman says.

"I never said that." Senator Finch says.

"But they will be, and you know it." Superman says.

Downtown Metropolis is bustling. Even though it's the middle of a work day, this city never quiets down. There are people out shopping and eating on every corner. Suddenly, beneath the street, the ground begins to shake. The citizens take pause. The ground shakes again, more violently this time.

"It's an earthquake!" Someone yells.

Everyone looks forward, and can see the ground actually coming apart. The middle of the street cracks creating a gaping hole. Then, a moment later, out of the hole Doomsday emerges. The public screams as they begin to run away. Doomsday reaches out into the crowd. He kills people instantly as he crushes them in his hands. The people clear out and Doomsday begins throwing cars around on the street as if they were lawn darts.

Back at LexCorp, Lex enters his office. Mercy takes a look at him and sees he's been in trouble. There's a cut above his eye and he looks a bit disheveled.

"Lex, what happened?!" Mercy exclaims.

"We may have a problem." Lex says, nervously.

Mercy had never seen Lex like this before. Lex turns on the news.

"This is Angela Chen reporting for Metropolis News Five with some breaking news. There appears to be a creature wreaking havoc downtown Metropolis. We do not have a camera on the scene as it is deemed too dangerous, but everyone is being warned to stay out of the downtown area."

Over at STAR Labs, Lois is taking notes on the new steel suit that John Henry Irons and Professor Hamilton are showing off.

"Wouldn't making this suit out of steel make it extra heavy?" Lois asks.

"Well, it's not just Steel, it's more of a steel alloy." John explains.

Lois continues to write notes down.

"Oh shoot." Lois says.

"What is it?" John asks.

"My pen is out of ink." Lois says.

"I think I have a drawer full of pens over here." John says.

John heads over to grab Lois a pen. As he reaches the drawer, the ground begins to shake. Lois, John, and Hamilton all look around. The ground begins to shake more violently and closer.

"What is that?" Lois asks.

Everything goes quiet for a moment. Then, the glass shatters, and the monstrous Doomsday appears. Professor Hamilton is directly in front of the monster. It grabs at his head and squeezes it in his hand.

"PROFESOR!" John exclaims.

John heads over to the suit and grabs the wrist gauntlet.

"Come on, come on." He says to himself.

Lois grabs the sonic device that Hamilton had given her.

"Come on, come on." She says to herself.

John puts the gauntlet on and reaches out. Lois hits the button and yells.

"SUPERMAN!" She shouts.

Doomsday charges at Lois. Just then a sledgehammer smashes through the wall and into John Henry's hand. He charges forward and swings it at the creature. It knocks it off its course.

"Yes! It works." John says in excitement.

But the creature doesn't stay dazed for long. It looks over at John. It charges forward but before it can get to him, it's pushed back.

John looks up and sees a flowing cape in front of him. But it's not the red cape he's expecting. It's a white cape. In front of him stands Captain Marvel.

"Go, NOW!" Captain Marvel says.

"Superman! Superman!" Lois continues to shout into the device at the point of losing her voice.

"Lois let's go!" John says, pulling her away from the area.

Captain Marvel turns back around and gets hit by Doomsday. The hit sends him through a wall. He shakes it off and flies back at the monster. He hits Doomsday full force and pushes him out of the building and into the parking lot. Captain Marvel pushes Doomsday into a light post, knocking it over. Doomsday rises back to his feet, unphased.

"Oh come on." Captain Marvel says.

Back in Washington, the debate rages on. General Lane had now entered the meeting.

"Superman, I want to know on the record, did you grow up in the United States." General Lane asks.

Superman pauses for a minute.

"Yes general, I did." He admits.

"So you went to school with all these powers you have now?" General Lane questions.

"No sir." Superman says.

"No?!" General Lane says in surprise.

"No, my powers didn't manifest until later." Superman says.

This response caught the general off guard.

"Yes well, would you feel comfortable sending your kids to school with children with your powers?" General Lane then asks.

"I don't have children." Superman counters.

This response angers the general.

"Where is this leading general?" Superman asks.

General Lane scrambles trying to get to his next question.

The battle in Metropolis continues. Captain Marvel had fought Doomsday back downtown. He was tired though. He had never fought anything like this. Lois was down there too. John Henry Irons had warned her to run for cover, but she insisted on following the battle. She was still trying to get Hamilton's sonic device to work. Maggie Sawyer and Dan Turpin, along with the Metropolis Police Department, had tried to barricade off the area. Jimmy Olsen still snuck through in an attempt to get some pictures for the planet.

Captain Marvel had fought Doomsday into the middle of an intersection. He wanted to make sure people were clear of the area. He had one last desperate attempt to pacify this beast.

General Lane pauses before his next question.

"Superman… let me ask you this." He begins, seemingly hesitating for time.

In that moment an aide opens the door.

In Metropolis, Captain Marvel grabs Doomsday by the waist and shouts at the top of his lungs.

"SHAZAM!"

A lightening bolt reigns down from the sky.

As the door in Washington opens up, Superman can hear the sonic device. He can hear Captain Marvel shout Shazam. Superman busts through the wall an out of the chamber.

In Metropolis, Doomsday is down. People begin to approach the area. In the middle of the street lies young Billy Batson. To the onlooking citizen Shazam has disappeared. Billy is tired and sore. But Doomsday doesn't appear to be moving either. Billy thinks he has won.

But then, Doomsdays eyes open. He rises to his feet and charges at Billy. Billy doesn't have the strength to defend himself. Just as Doomsday is about to reign down upon him, a red-blue blur swoops in and knocks the monster back. Hovering above Billy is Superman. The crowd cheers on as Superman arrives. But Doomsday quicky gets back on his feet. He locks in on Superman. The final battle is about to begin.
