Kat thought about her everyday. Not one day had gone by without her thinking about what had happened with Dom. Kat kept telling herself that these feelings would all go away, but in over a year they still hadn't. Now pregnant, Kat knew Dom and her could never be together.

Even though Kat was happy about the baby, she also was sad to know that having a baby cut all hope of her and Dom ever being together again. At first she thought about leaving Ray, Ray was a lot older then her. When she first married him, he seemed like her safe way of her being less afraid and unsure of adulthood. With Ray by her side, Kat felt like she could see the world, move away to LA, and he would always be there to protect and support her. She did love him but she wasn't passionately in love with him like she had been with Dominique. Every time she got to kiss Dom, Kat liked that she would have an effect on Dom. But eventually, She'd get lost in the moment. With Dominique she felt things she can't explain, like a feeling of desperation. As time went on it got more confusing, but she just thought it was her body and mind getting comfortable and into character.

She knew early on that Dom was in love with her. Kat knew deep down she was very attarcted to her too but she was with Ray and couldn't pursue these feelings. To be fair to Ray, Kat admitted to him she had some bisexual feelings for women, but never did she admit her attraction was for Dom. She always joke about her and Mel getting together which was impossible for all those that knew Mel who only fancied dick. During this time, Dom had not come out. Dom was still bringing her boyfriends onset and to crew/family gatherings so Ray never suspected. Deep down she knew Dom was hiding her love for her, everyone knew except Ray. Dom could never hide the tears after they were intimate on set. Dom unraveled every time Kat touched her. Yes they were playing a part, but as the scenes progressed so did Dom's confusion.

Like around season 3, Kat had to sit Dom down once to tell her that she was making her uncomfortable off set and the crew and fans were getting the wrong idea. Ray had noticed it too. Off and on set Dom was acting like they were really a couple. Ray was hardly around during filming as he was usually home in Toronto while Kat remained in Calargy. She'd hold her hand and push her body into her when they'd hang out off set. At one point they were friends, Kat didn't mind any of it until people started to start rumors about it. But after that conversation, Dom retreated from Kat. It was hard to hurt her but Kat knew she to do it for her own sanity. She was married and Dom was confusing her too. They became distant after that and Things got pretty weird between them. Kat didn't push the topic any further because she to was hiding her confusion. After all,she was married to Ray.

Being pregnant was all Kat ever had wanted, she always want a big family being the only child. But deep down she couldn't stop thinking about Dom and how she felt in her arms. Kat loved Dom.

Present day, A month passed and Kat and Ray were headed over to Emily's. Emily had invited them over for a barbecue or at least they both thought that. Once there they were surprised with a baby shower. Everyone from the Earp crew and actors were all present, everyone except Dom that is. In the kitchen, Kat, Varun, and Mel were helping Emily clean up. Looking at Emily, Kat said the entire gang was here except Dom. Looking at them, she said it hurts me that Dom decided not to come as she wiped tears away from her eyes.

Immediately, Emily went to console her. Both Mel and Varun didn't say a word as they both looked on. Kat was an emotional wreck these days being 4 months into her pregnancy. Emily said, "Oh Honey don't cry, I thought it best I not invite her. It wasn't because she didn't want to come, but because I thought it best not to invite her knowing what happened in Vancouver between you two. Ray had caught the tail end of Emily's statement. Ray moved over to console Kat as he saw her tears, he said, "What happened in Vancouver between you and Dom, Kat?

As Kat moved away and walk towards the bathroom, Ray went after her trying to figure out what was up with his wife. He could be heard saying, "Baby, let me in. Kat, are you okay?"

After a few minutes of Kat telling him she was fine and just needed to use the restroom. Ray went back into the kitchen with Emily, Varun and Mel. Emily's husband offered him another drink as they went off out to the patio. Ray was already semi wasted. Varun went off to see if Kat would talk to him. Knocking on the door, Varun told Kat he had something to give her from Dom. Varun lended down and pushed a letter Dom had written her under the bathroom door. Varun saw as Kat pulled the letter inside. Varun said, "Kat, don't read it until you get home. I would not want you to get so upset that you'd hurt the baby."

Kat knew Varun was right, this wasn't the right time for her to read Dom's letter. Cleaning her face, Kat went back into the kitchen and kissed everyone goodnight. Ray couldn't drive so Emily called them an uber as her and her husband promised to deliver the gifts to her house later in the week.

Next morning, Ray made Kat some breakfast. As they were eating quietly at the table, Ray asked about what Emily had said about Dom and her in Vancouver. Upset, Kat's tone was one that surprised Ray. "Ray, why can't you ever let things just be. Why do you always have to ask me about Dom. We are not together, we don't even talk. Dom isn't apart of my life anymore. Yes, I went to see her in Vancouver, so what. Are you now, satisfied!" Kat got up and went upstairs to get ready to go shopping with her mom for baby clothes.

As she was getting ready, Ray was still upset at how Kat had spoken to him. He was also upset she had lied to him about Vancouver. Not saying a word to her, Ray just started packing a bag. Kat said, "Ray so what now your leaving, cuz you think something happened between me and Dom? To hell with you Ray, just leave. I'm fine raising this baby alone." With that Ray stormed out of the house and headed to Montreal to stay with his brother.

Kat had almost told him in anger that she had sex with Dom, but she knew she'd destroy him if she had. Sex with Dom had already destroyed her.

Calling her mom, Kat broke off their date. She decided to lay in bed and pondered whether or not to read Dom's letter. She didn't want to get so upset and hurt the baby, but she knew she had to read it if she ever wanted any closure. She now knew that Dom knew about the baby, Kat needed to know what she had to say after a year of not hearing from her. Holding the letter close to her heart, Kat called up Mel. Kat asked Mel if she could please come over to help her read Dom's letter, Mel agreed and arrived later that evening as she had been working long hours filming Surreal Estate, Tim's new show.

Looking at the letter Mel asked Kat if there was anything she thought she should know before reading the letter. Mel said, "Kat are you sure you want me to share in this?" Kat didn't want to do this alone, she didn't care If Kat heard things that had gone on between her and Dom. It was obvious things had happened between them. With that, Kat confessed that they had indeed had sex.

Mel was not surprised witnessing the love they had shared for one another. Kat said, please Mel, I can't do this alone,please read the letter."

Mel opened the letter and began to read.

Dearest Kat,

Where do I begin, I have dreamed many times of reaching out to you but every time I picked up the phone or started texting you I lost the nerve too.
I am such a coward, Kat. Your the only person in this world that I think about day in and day out, when I wake up your face is what I see. And when I lay my head down each night, I cry myself to sleep thinking about happy I was being near you. Why, did Wynonna Earp have to end, Kat? That show changed my life, you changed my life. I never had known love until my eyes first saw you.

I know, Me and you were never meant to be. It has been devastating to finally come to terms with that fact that you will never be mine. Kat, I need you to know that I love you and I always will.

When you made love to me, I felt both happy and terrified if that makes sense. I was terrified knowing you'd never give yourself to me completely even after our intimate moment together. Kat, I want you to be happy. I am glad you moved on like I always knew you would.

I hope that in our next life, we will find each other again and maybe then you could be mine.

Mel looked up to see tears running down Kat's face. Kat didn't know what to make of Dom's letter. She was to upset to analysis it, she just cried. Mel held her in her arms and cautioned her not to get to worked up as it could harm the baby. All she really needed to know was that Dom loved her and wished her well, Mel rambled on. Kissing her goodnight, Mel went home.

Kat felt unsettled, she decided to call Dom. As she dialed her up the phone rang once and a strange robotic voice played, "This number has been disconnected, please hang up and try your call again". Kat grew worried, why had Dom changed her number. Calling Varun, Kat begged him for her number, but he told her that he had promised Dom he would not give it to her nor would he give Dom any message from her. Hearing Kat beg him felt awful. Kat felt betrayed by him and hung up.

Later that evening she called Emily, feeling awful Emily told her Dom and her were no longer on speaking terms since she didn't invite her to the baby shower, Dom felt betrayed by Emily and thought it best to cut that relationship off. Emily didn't blame her, she would be hurt too.

Kat had no way of contacting Dom.
