She woke up frightened to the dark, shadowy night sky. Her sheets were scattered and twisted around her body. Her blankets dropped around her ankles as she stood up. She walked to her mirror and the face that was staring back was pale, with dark circles around the eyes derived from lack of sleep. She heard Samara's voice in her head, and the disturbing images that come with it. She decided she was going to do something, something to make the voices stop………..

Her adopted daughter, Samara, was insane, or so she thought. All she knew was she wanted her daughter out of her house. They had tried to keep her in the barn, but Anna and her husband could still hear her voice in their heads. Anna was terrified of her daughter because she would never sleep. Even the mental hospital told her she never slept. "Samara is my daughter!" Anna thought. "I should love her and take care of her! Not fear her!" But that thought didn't last long……….

"I know what to do." She thought. "I finally can rid myself of this madness!" She decided to go back to sleep after a few cups of coffee. When she woke, she heard the sound of the stable cleaner's scream. She wrapped herself in her robe and rushed outside to see what the matter was. She sped out the door and to the stables. She found that all the horses were going….. mad! She looked out towards the sea and saw huge lumps. She dashed to the shore and saw some of her beautiful horses, drowned and then beached. She started to cry, for all she had ever wanted in life was a child, her horses, and her husband. Now, two of the things were gone. Her life was ruined. She couldn't go on like this for much longer. She wanted to blame someone for this mess, and only one name came into her head…….. Samara.

"All I ever wanted was you." Anna had told her daughter, before deciding to shove her into the well, forever. She knew this was the only way she could purge herself of the voices and unsettling images. "I'm sorry." She had said to her, but of course, she didn't mean it. But little did she know that drowning Samara wouldn't free her of the voices, the images, the insanity…………

"I don't care! I can't live like this for any longer! Her pictures, her voice haunt me! All the time! If I can't rid myself of her, I will just get rid of me!" and with saying that, she jumped off the cliff and into the sea. Samara wasn't finished with her, though. She would make her adopted mother live as she had in the water, for seven days. On the last minute before Anna died, she saw something, she saw…… the ring.
