What was the plan ?

Hi everyone, I think it's my first english Teen Wolf fanfiction. I hope you will understand the story because English is not my first language. Ever since a film was announced for next year, I always think about THIAM. I would so much like to see them together because they were supposed to kiss in the last episode... I hope you will enjoy to read this text.

Liam didn't like to fail and yet he had just lost. In the end, it wasn't that bad for him to have failed. But he was the only one who thought so: Mason looked at him with concern and a little bit of anger despite himself. His best friend asked him:

- What was the plan, Liam?

- Plan A was to not fuck Plan B, said the young werewolf.

- What was Plan B?

Liam kicks himself, biting his lips: Mason was really upset and a little nervous. He closed his eyes and murmured:

- Don't fell in love with somebody who could hurt me.

Actually Hayden did but it wasn't the same thing. That's why Mason was behaving the way he was. Mason and Liam had made this plan precisely after Hayden's departure. Their breakup brought him down. Mason and Corey were there for him, they saw him getting better little by little.

But now, Liam had failed. He had lost, he had failed to stick to the plan, but he didn't feel so guilty about it. He had failed because, despite himself, he had finally fallen in love. It wasn't really his fault, it was Theo's too. Since he had brought him back, everything had changed. Liam needed him to save Stiles, he was using him, but things turned quickly for both. The tension wasn't the same as when Theo wanted Scott's power and pack. Theo had stayed in town and fought many times. Liam didn't expect to see his hate for the young chimera turn into anything else. It had happened without him seeing it coming. He had never thought he would be able to see Theo otherwise than a runaway chimera and a traitor. He had screwed up the plan, Liam hesitated about what it would do to him in the end. Things change, fuck it.

- What you gonna do, Liam?

- He's not the same, first. People can change, I guess.

- We are talking about Theo Raeken, not Lydia or… or Peter.

- Peter wasn't a great guy either, Mason.

- Theo Raeken killed people for power and still murdered Scott, Mason said.

- I don't know what to do, I'm just a goner.

- Hey, hey, Liam! You're confused, I can see it in your face. I can see how lost you are.

- What am I supposed to do? Sometimes I hate myself for these feelings and other times, I'm just telling me that Theo had changed and deserve a second chance. We did with Chris, with Peter, with Nolan… Why not him?

Mason saw Liam lose patience, control. He offered him to sit down and advised him to take a deep breath.

- You'd better calm down, breathe and don't let all those emotions overwhelm you.

Liam smiled, he did tell him something like that too. Mason noticed his nostalgic gaze.

- What are you thinking about, Liam?

- He told me that people can feel more than one emotion at a time. It was when we were in his truck after leaving the zoo. I wanted to hurt Nolan, I was so angry that he knocked me out few times.

- Knock out?

- He let Nolan go away, I think he didn't want me to feel guilty about hurting Nolan that day.

- Didn't he think that could make he put in a certain situation if you had hurt Nolan? Did he not just think about him?

- I think not, he was honest with me in this truck. When we are just both of us, he's still honest with me…

- It's so cute, Mason quipped.

Liam's gaze made him understood he was serious. The young man took a breathe and looked at Liam.

- You are in love with him, laughed Mason. You seem happier now than when you were with Hayden.

- I know it's insane… that's how I feel now.

Mason smiled, Liam was happier now and he just wanted to see him like this if possible. Even if Theo was the reason why. Liam wasn't wrong about the chimera: Theo did change, it was just hard to say it. Liam did see Theo's redemption before everyone else, even Lydia. Maybe he was the best to tell the pack could trust the chimera now.

- You help each other, you change through each other. Hayden didn't help you as much as Theo did. He can help you with your anger issues. He's your anchor, I get it now. And I must admit you're making him more human little by little. He took away Gabe's pain, I think you had a lot to do with that. He tried with me when we were looking for Aaron, but he failed it.

- I don't know if he could succeed with you right now, but I think he would tried at least, Liam whispered. He tried everyday to be a better person. Nothing's easy.

- Hey, I get it! He wants to change, he tries to do better than before.

The best friends looked at each other.

- How much trouble am I in? Liam asked with a wince.

- A lot or not all. I'm not you, I would help you if that's what you want me to do but, you are the only one who can change the situation. What do you want to do? Do you want to tell him or just want him to do something?

- Dunno, that's the worst because I'm scared for something he didn't do intentionally.

- To be honest with you, even if you failed the plan and I'm a little confused about how you could fall for Theo, I think you could have a chance with him. You're not losing your mind, you just have difficulty doing face up to your feelings for him.

- Seriously? What makes you think that could be possible between us? I mean we're too different and arguing is a kind of hobby or something like this.

- You must tell each other what you feel, I think so.

- Sounds easy in your mouth, Mason.

- Where is my best friend? Liam, you did things much more terrifying than that. You have my back, Corey's back too.

- Corey?

- Don't be upset, we talked about what happened at hospital… When he took away Gabe's pain… Your reaction when he did it… The fact that he saved you from hunters when he could have gone far away leaving us alone to face the hunters. He came to save you, maybe Corey and I but, he found you first and he decided to fight with you.

- We told ourselves that we wouldn't die for each other…

- Lying fools, Mason smiled. You were too scared to die to be honest. Now that the danger has passed, I don't know for how long, stop pretend you're the only one to feel it. Go talk to him, change the course of destiny and be happy because that's what you deserve.

- You were furious when I told you the truth. Now you want my happiness. I'm lost, Mason.

- Theo did horrible things, we can't forget what he did. But you're right, he's not the only one to did horrible things by the past. We should accept that he can change, he does change right now and that's because of you. He could be helpful later. You worked as a two-person team during the war, it worked well. Your partnership is strong, and the pack need both of you.

- Thanks, buddy! Said Liam.

He felt better, Mason understood him and wanted him to be happy. He accepted that he had feelings for Theo.

- You must go, Liam.

- Indeed.

He stands up.

- One thing: you have to tell me everything when it will be official. All the details, Liam.

- It's the least I can do after all you have done for me.

- You have got it all figured out, dude. See you later.

- If I'm not dead…

- I think you will be very much alive and very happy…

- Mason…

- I stop talking. It's up to you!

Liam looked at Mason one last time before leaving his room and going down the stairs. He was going to do it, there was no turning back.
