'Second chance; If you have made too many mistakes in raising your child and you really want to fix it'.

"There is!" James cheered in triumph, he tore the page from the library book, and hurried to leave the place before Mrs. Pince found out what he had done and shouted all sorts of nonsense about barbarism or something of the sort.

"Thank you, Moony!" He cried behind his shoulder as he left.

Remus peered behind a huge bookshelf and stared at his distant friend. "I thought he wanted help in searching..." he murmured in confusion, but without surprise, after all, it's not that he expected James to willingly dedicate himself to the project. Even one he set for himself.

"Oh well." He shrugged and went to sort through the sixteen books that James had thrown in disarray around his desk, maybe James would decide to go back and investigate them again.

James galloped to his dorm room. He was sure there was an enthusiastic expression on his face, though the rest of Hogwarts called her 'crazy', but what to do? The students were weird.

"Siri! SiriSiriSiri!" James sang and jumped into the room.

Sirius raised an unimpressed eyebrow. James did not impress him with his melodrama skills. No, Sirius was sure he would win it.

"I need the support of my best friend! I have a perfect and amazing solution!"

"And what is this?"

"So that's it," James began, "I went with Remi to the library—"

"What?!" Sirius fell out of bed. The shock on his face was so palpable that there was not even anything to compare it to. "You... library... Prongs, are you sick?!" Sirius' eyes were wide in terror and he pounced on his friend in an attempt to see if he had a fever.

"Come on, Pads, really!" Grumbled James, "Stop the melodrama, you won't beat me in it anyway."

Sirius looked offended.

"Well, in short, I need your support when I tell Sevvy! Come on!" He did not wait for an answer and simply dragged him out of the room.

"Sevvy!" Exclaimed the bespectacled Gryffindor as he finally noticed his son. "Did you miss daddy? Want a hug?"

Severus jumped back as soon as he noticed them approaching, but it did not help him, because too many curious students had already surrounded the hallucinatory group in hopes of another reality show. What could they do? They did not have a TV or computer, so you have to settle for the available entertainment.

Severus who saw that he was under the heading tried to avoid showing was pushed into a corner. "What is it this time, Potter?" He asked sarcastically.

"I'm glad you asked!" A pleased smile widened over James' face. "You see, I went to check on some books—"

"You what?!" He was interrupted by Lily passing by.

"Do you know where the library is?" Peter asked in disbelief.

"Do you know how to read?" Severus asked with the same disbelieving.

"Hey! Why does no one believe me! Come on! I went to research some fatherhood books and tips for desperate fathers. What, is it so hard to believe it?"

"Sure is..." murmurs were heard all around.

James was offended. "I can be mature and completely responsible!"

Stares of astonishment stared at him, as if expecting the next statement to be that he had found proof that aliens existed.

"I'm not sure you even know what the word 'responsibility' means." Said Severus.

James shook his head. "Maybe once," he said stubbornly, "when I was still young and stupid, but now I'm getting older, I have a wife and kids, or well, one kid in the meantime, but there will probably be more soon!"

Severus almost suffocated.

"So now I know a lot of things and even how to fix all our problems."

"Our problems start when you get closer. Stay away and the problems will go away."

"Ouch, Sevvy-Sev, you make it sound like I'm the problem!"

"Yes, how can such a thing even happen..." Severus murmured cynically.

"Anyway," James continued, deciding to ignore everyone's skepticism. "I was in the library reading all kinds of smart books to fathers, and then I found the perfect spell!" He waved the torn page in front of his son's eyes, "See? This little thing will fix everything!"

"Potter, you're really not going to try such unfamiliar magic on me." Severus angrily declared as James raised his wand.

"Why not? I've done it many times already!"

Severus narrowed his eyes. Sirius murmured, "I do not think you should have given this up as an example..."

"Besides, I know what it does. It says here: 'Second chance; if you made too many mistakes in raising your child and you really want to fix it'."

"Potter... did you read the description of the magic that was necessarily on the pages before that you tore so cleverly? Or at least the rest of the page you wave at like a flag?"

"Um, Nope." James hummed. In the face of the unimpressive looks he added, "But guys, I read the headline! Isn't that enough? The headline is the most important thing, it talks about everything inside!"

Severus rolled his eyes, "I guess you really can't read."

Sirius patted his good friend on the shoulder. "At least it's the Jamie-Boy I know who never really open books."

Peter shrugged, "I'm still surprised he knows where the library is..."

James who chose to ignore them all once more, meanwhile recited his mysterious spell. "I can't wait to see what happens!" He sang excitedly.

He pointed with his wand at the wretched and nervous Severus and shouted aloud the last word. A soft pinkish light, dotted with poisonous-green-colored fireflies erupted from the tip of his wand and the wrap Slytherin boy. The haze stood in the air for a second then clung to the boy like a leather garment. Severus for a moment seemed unaffected and then began to shrink. A minute later the light dissipated and instead of Severus stood a little boy in clothes that were too big on him.

James let out an excited shriek, but it was engulfed in a sea of shouts that started all around. The boy in the center just stood and stared at everyone with big black eyes.

"I told you, I told you! It worked! I have another chance! I can educate him again and then he will love Quidditch!"

Peter patted his palm on his forehead.

Lily rolled her eyes, "There's no way you can make Severus love sports."

"I don't think Quidditch should be what interests you the most..." murmured Remus, who suddenly emerged from somewhere.

James nodded with an arrogant smile. "Now I will be a good father, who will take care of his son and I will educate him and I will teach him and I will be a role model—"

"Start by learning to read, Potter." It was interrupted by the little boy, in a childish, thin voice, but with a venom that did not go away with regression.

"Wait... what?" James gasped.

"If you read the description, you would find that this magic rejuvenates the body and not the mind or memory." Severus rolled his eyes and turned away.

"Wait, where are you?"

"Make an anti-potion." Muttered the little boy. "And the next time you want to get better results, you should turn to potions. Maybe I can be a role model for you, Grandpa."

"Wha— as much as I'm glad you finally recognized me as your patriarch, call me Dad! Not Grandpa! Do you hear me? H-hey, come back here, young man! Come back right away! SON!"

A/N: According to GolDEin13 request:

"James found a suspicious unknown spell and he used on Severus for whatever reason and he deaged into a baby..."
So probably it's not what you meant, but that's what we got

Anyway, thank you all for reading, I hope you liked it! I'll really glad to hear your thoughts!
